So I’m a Khador/troll/circle…/pig fan so seeing trolls and Khador so soon feels great and I’m a sucker for basic grunts. The fact that you don’t get two duplicates until a third unit thrills me, but looking at the orgoth and cygnar basics you do get two duplicates in a five folk unit? Idk why I’m asking this question but is it because they’re doing more designs for models and cygnar and orgoth were just sorta the “test” sets or what… it’s two in the morning where I’m at I just wanna theorize. Either way yay trolls!
I think that's basically the idea. The Storm Legion kits and the Sea Raiders were a test. Hard to argue that these aren't among the best quality models PP has ever made, so there's a good chance future armies will benefit from multiple sculpts and high quality detail as well.
Yay trolls indeed! TL;DR - Yes, only Winter Korps and Brinebloods have the 2 sets of unit sculpts. If the army starter box comes with only one copy of a unit, like the Storm Legion box, you will just have the one set of sculpts for the grunts. The Winter Korps and Brineblood Marauders box are the only ones we have so far where there are multiple copies of a unit, and so are the only ones where there is more than the one set of sculpts. To the best of our knowledge Privateer Press does not have plans to introduce alternative sculpts for units, and the individually packaged models/units from the starter boxes that we've seen so far are the same sculpts which seems to confirm this.
A really good unboxing, thank you!
Me hoping for cephalyx also knowing it'll prob never happen xD
We can always hope! You never know what could be on the horizon for MKIV.
