Just rooted using this method and worked a treat. I think you might want to warn people that at the end of the process there is a 20 minute wait (or at least it was for me, I have seen others report longer) with a black screen saying erasing. I got a bit worried at first. Anyway, thanks for the vid, nice and easy to follow.

Hey I've followed all the steps to root my nexus 6 device but when I connect my USB cable it doesn't say its connected on my device or my computer. It says to connect a USB cable and on the black screen on my computer it says waiting for device to be connected. Any idea what may be going wrong??

When I try to do this, it says 'permission denied' in my terminal window. Is there a certain setting I need checked off on my Nexus 6 before doing this?

Just FYI, in bash (terminal) you can hit tab when typing commands and file/folder names to autocomplete them. Also your desktop is more easily at "~/Desktop", "~" is an alias for the current user's home folder.
