Hay Ben, would this be something??? take small cups of colored glow in the dark resin , 4 colors. pour on flat sheet pans to dry , like a Glass window glass. when hard break like glass and use the shards in a project fruit bowl with clear resin.., will it look like a broken glass bowl or a stained glass bowl???

i have an idea for your biggest pour ever!. you should get a really big piece of wood (big as a table) and add wild life to it like butterflies spiders bugs etc! make it look as real as you can ofc this will take some time but im sure it will be worth it :)))

OK this was genuinely transformative right here. I had NO idea how you were going to make something so gorgeous with thick black tubing stuck to a piece of white pipe. And yet the end result was amazing. I love love love how it demonstrates that light is made up of different wavelengths and so only certain "spots" would light up depending on the colour of the light and the resin. Such an amazing effect. Very, very clever idea and a particularly gorgeous end result, too.

Respectfully Ben, I must remind you that the pure work that took to make this piece of art with cheap materials already imbues it with enough laboral value for it to be monetarily valuable.
Of course, there are other philosophical discussions one can fall into, but keeping it on the surface level?
This is some expensive artisan art 🎨

Great job Ben. Very creative. I made something similar awhile back as a night light for my Grandaughter. Instead of the black pipe I used plastic straws and various piping that i stripped off after setting. I used clear resin for the fill. The effect is that the colours are not restricted to the ends of the pipe and flow through the whole structure from a white light source.

Just after posting on the previous video about screwing holes in to a cast for filling with other colored resins and then I come and see you already half did it in a sense but using these pipes!
That came out amazing! The black really brings the colors out.
I'm also glad you kept it a friction fit. So many times I see people making custom lights they seal them all up, meaning if it ever goes bust you'll end up with a paperweight. A beautiful paperweight, but a paperweight nonetheless lol. Being able to get in and change failed lights is always a good thing to have.
It gets more complicated with sold products, in that case you end up needing to use as generic a light source as you can so the buyer can easily take the top off, replace light and continue on like nothing happened.

You should do something very similar by making colored tubes of resin or spray mold release in the black tubes so the colored resin comes out(whatever KS easier to have almost like glow sticks inside clear resin)and throw them in a bucket randomly and then cover it with clear resin and turn it like that. Or even make glow powder resin tubes randomly in a clear resin ^.^

I do love how that came out. As soon as I saw the thumbnail I was hoping for a lamp. I've tried doing similar things to blanks while turning pens and the never looked good. Not enough surface area to get it to work for me.

Smart idea to fill the pipe when it was double the size it was supposed to be. Guaranteeing when it was cut in half that you could use the middle section of them to point out so you could take less off the outside.
Also, I like how the live center fit into the pipe lol. It must be a common standard size over there across the pond.

If you're ever in this position again filling small areas with resin one big tip I can give you is to use a needle or pipette long enough and thin enough to reach the bottom or nearly the bottom of the space you're trying to fill. This allows you to fill from below the top of the resin which eliminates trapped air
