David, these Hibiki whisky cocktails all look outstanding! I have noticed on 2 trips to Japan, that people seem to order a lot of whisky highball cocktails. It may have only been taking place when I was visiting some of the amazing bars in Tokyo, and Kyoto, but it stood out! I enjoy Hibiki although I have only had it a couple of times. I will make each of these cocktails. Angostura seems like the perfect bitters to blend well with Hibiki whisky. The drinks all looks beautifully balanced! I can't wait to try them. I will pickup Hibiki whisky this weekend. If I can't find ginger beer, I hope Fever Tree ginger ale will stand in nicely?! Experimenting with different whiskies is fun! Thanks for the terrific video! Have a great weekend.

Christine, definitely go for it. The Highball is a favorite in Japan. So easy to drink. Please let me know how they turn out for you.

I’ve never seen Japanese Whiskey before you mentioned it a few weeks ago but now I seem to see it at every liquor store we go to lol. Will definitely be trying one in the future!

The Beast looks so good! I haven't had something with that much fruit in it. It looks almost nutritious, and definitely delicious.

They are really good. You could go with a substitute like Toki if you have it or a nice Scotch.

Got a (hard to find) bottle on sale at Safeway of all places last year and still haven't open it yet.

Great video David, and you're right, Hibiki is a fantastic whiskey for someone who's new to whiskey or a seasoned drinker.
I actually lived in Nagasaki (where Commodore Perry of the Black ships landed), for a few years, so I think I'm obligated to try out a Black Ship!!!

That's a nice looking collection of the Japanese whiskeys! Tasting notes was a nice touch.
Do you generally use them for cocktails or sipping/neat/on the rocks?
    Nice straightforward cocktails too :)

I recently just got into Japanese whiskey. I just picked up a bottle of Hibiki and I’m looking forward to trying these cocktails.
Just a side note though. It was Matthew Perry, NOT William Perry, who sailed to Japan and forced them to open their country.
