My wife was always complaining how hard it is to use the current safety nozzles on gas cans these days and she always has to have me do it for her so I purchased these old stile nozzles and Here’s how to replace the safety nozzle on your gas can so it’s easier to use and pours faster.
No more straining to hold down the spring-loaded safety nozzle when you need to use the gas can.

Hey! I was just gonna share that I spill more with the new-fangled nozzles only to find someone else has had the same experience. Funny how something that's suppose to be better is actually not.

About 4 years ago we had a hurricane come through. We lost power for about 3 days. Others nearby were a month without. Mostly trees and limbs in the roadway, thankfully not much structure damage to dwellings. I was left holding 4- 5 gallons containers of gas. Tried using this crappy scepter nozzles and gave up after getting gas on the car, ground and me. Gave up and got busy, forgot about the gas. Wish I would I have known about this kit. Needless to say I ordered this one! Thanks for the video!

I have done the same. I have used epoxy to hold the vent into place.
Also, be sure to drill with an empty, dry can and to clean out any plastic bits after drilling.

Excellent tip! Mine popped out, heat expansion.
I always just take the weird California EPA nozzle off and just use a funnel. Most of the gas gets into the tank.

these were supposedly to solve gas evaporating from cans with cap left off &/or vent not closed (old style cans). BUT, I have spilled more gas with this new safe design than any vaporization from my old style can. Thx for the kit link. I was using a cork in an old can I got at a yard sale! Thx to thumb and wrist arthritis I cannot use the new "improved" design...this will really help!!

My old style gas cans have different size openings. 1 gallon, 2 gallon. ??

So how do you secure the can if you need to transport it? Leave the nozzle on? Or turn the spout upside down and put it inside the can?

Can the nozzle be reversed and stored in the gas can?

Im new to this but i got 2 gallon one of these and i tried fuelling it at the gas station but it ended up spraying out towards me. I tried to squeeze the trigger slowly but it just seems like it wont be coning out of pump slowly. Any idea?

Some have a filter device inside the fill hole....small holes cannot handle flow even at slow rates and will auto shut off. Use a couple of needle nose pliers to remove and no more fill problems
What size drill bit? Can I sue the manufacturer of this new EPA Gov reg designed nozzle, using it totally F'd my back up.

I hope you understand I was talking about the new style gas can ,not the way you fixed it.
I had to remove the spout an throw it away and cut a soda bottle an poor the fuel in with out a spout. Dumb design.

The designer of these fuel cans should go work for Chinese and Russian defense contractors because it sucks. I spill half my fuel with this worthless system. You must have got the contract because your a member of the same a cult.

I bought these and they leak at the base of the nozzle. The seal is not good at the base.
