Hey fam, I know this video is rather old, but I just wanted to give you props for making it! My daily is a 2014, bone stock aside from an intake filter, but was just looking into some simple mods. This may very well be the most informative sub-one-minute vid ever made, lol! Cheers and all the best from Louisiana!
I really appreciate the kind words, thanks! You’ll get bit by the mod bug after this one haha. This is one of the best platforms for simple mods. If you’re looking for a next suggestion, a short throw shift plate and solid shifter bushings make gear changes wayyyyy nicer. Best of luck on your build!
+Jacob Cosgrove good deal! You really can't go wrong with this. Even if you're eventually gonna replace the exhaust, this is so cheap it doesn't matter.
for any people considering this, delete the muffler, not the resonator. i deleted res first and it was pointless. i ended up deleting both. the res is a sraight through design and its the better of the 2. the volume hardly changes with the res delete.
Honestly think it depends on the car 😂 my v6 2grfe 2011 camry sounds exactly stock with the res removed besides hitting the gas above 3.5k rpm but my friend with a TSX with a res delete sounds completely different from the stock exhaust

@@TheToyotaGuy - thanks, Timothy! You're a proper gent!
Take care and all the best, thank you for the tips my man!
Yep... I've made my mind up... thank you
Did you get it done? How much did you pay or did you diy?
Got the same set up. Sounds good to me🙏🏼
Muffler delete with resonator tips much better sound in my opinion and 2.5 inch exhaust.
Does it drone inside the car with out the resonator? Sounds great from the outside.
Thanks! Not at all. It gets a little loud during hard 3rd gear pulls, but doesn't drone on the interstate.
perfect demo ;)
Sounds great man. Stock DP and everything? Did you put a straight pipe in where the resonator was or did you put another muffler in?
Thanks! Yes, it has the stock downpipe in this video. It's a mild steel tube. No new muffler.
+Timothy DeBoef good choice man. Scheduled to get this done on Friday!

I would delete the muffler too if I didn't drive so much. I put about 1200 miles a week on her...
Deleting the muffler would be insanely loud and would drone bad. Resonator delete is just perfect.
haha, its actually really quiet. you have to delete both to get any real noise.
Casey Rodriguez take your ‘real noise’ and do it to a civic then. Resonator delete is all you need. Muffler delete along with it is too much.

sounds like shit. Agree stock is bad, but without is worse. Should of just swapped out for a better resonator.
they should have deleted the muffler instead.
