Thank you. My husband is going on his first cruise in September out of Long Beach so we are trying to find as much info as possible. Your videos are very helpful.
I am glad that you are finding the videos helpful. I have made many of the Radiance and for the port of Ensenada. Please feel free to ask questions in the comments of any of the videos.
Great Video. Have you ever had the online check in option disappear from your booking? It was there earlier and now it is not showing under my to-do list. My check in is tonight.
Can you link the document in the Description Please? This is very helpful and I would like to use it as I go through the check in process in another 4 weeks for our December cruise. Also, we are no where near Long Beach. We are cruise out of Mobile, New Orleans and Florida ports as they are within driving distance. Thank you.
Your videos have been very helpful! Thank you! A couple questions for you.. I dont quite understand the smile & go option. I will look into that, but what can i expect if i decline that option? If i choose 11:00 - 11:30 arrival appointment, should i be at the cruise terminal earlier than 11? I thought i read on carnivals website to be there 60 minutes prior but i dont know if that was meant for the actual ship departure or if i need to be at the terminal 60 minutes before my arrival appointment. We are flying in the morning of our cruise so im just trying to figure out timing. Thanks so much!
Glad to hear the videos have been helpful. I have always selected the Smile & Go option. My understanding is that if you don't select it, you will have to actually talk to a customs agent when departing the ship. I am not sure about the 60 minutes before thing, but I typically will try to get there about 30 minutes before my arrival appointment time. If they let me in early, great. If not, at least I am not waiting a long time.
My itinerary says 3:30 board. Do I have up until 3:30 to arrive? My plane doesn’t land until 12:30…. And yes I know it’s a bad idea to fly in same day but with work I had no choice. Lmk. Thank you. 😊
Hi. Quick question I am leaving this Thursday on the Firenze I have a 10:30 to 11:00 check in time ~ I did the same check in time for my daughter & her husband (we are going in separate cars) my son in law now says he can’t get there that early what will happen if they go later than the stated boarding time?
I will have to check the screens against my video when I check-in next time (to see what has changed). What note do you need to make for sleep apnea? You can bring you CPAP machine with you, but it just needs to be carried on (it can't be in your checked luggage). Also, you can order distilled water from room service when you are on the ship.
For booking a cruise? I do not. If you are looking for help, contact my buddy Sean (who is a travel advisor). He can help you out! His number is 925-370-0274
I really appreciated your video and I am even more excited to go on our cruise. My question is my wife’s birth certificate and her drivers license has different names. Should I take our marriage certificate as another form of identification for her? Is it needed?
I have asked this (and similar) question to my friends that work at the port. They have always told me that brining more proof is always better than not bringing enough (especially when things don't match up). Heck, they will even tell you to bring expired passports, ID's, etc. as additional proof. I did that with my daughter. I brought her expired passport card as additional ID.
I’m going with a friend. When I go in and check in just for myself will the boarding time be set so when she does the check in it will already be set based on what I selected? Or should I choose the boarding time for both when I check in, and leave all her personal info blank for her to go back to complete?
Hi I’m cruising the carnival radiance in the next week. I have a question: Will they except an expired driver license with my renewal paperwork from the DMV? Hence California doesn’t print the actual picture on the paperwork. Please advise.
Is there free wi-fi on the ship to Simply text your family members and if so is that through the carnival app? I'm trying to decide if I need to bring walkie-talkies cuz I am not paying for Wi-Fi
Accidentally denied the face recognition for one of the 23 family members going next week. Is that fixable? Also, once on the ship when you download the app and hit on board it has you give the number on the sign and sail card. When that’s done and you are on the app, can everyone of the guests you booked see their invoice of how much I paid for their cruise? I know the balance of the sail and sign card is on there but is the original invoice on there?
If I remember correctly, you can select "Create Cash Account" as an option for your onboard spending account. I believe (I can't say for certain), you can use your Carnival gift card to add "cash" to your account when you get to the cruise terminal. The only caveat is they only deal with actual gift cards at the cruise terminal, they do not accept the e-gift cards there. --- Please confirm this with whomever you booked your cruise through because I don't want you to show up and they tell you its not an option.
I confirmed with one of my contacts at the port and they said, "If you have the physical plastic gift card we can add it for you at guest services in the terminal. If it's an online certificate or just a number you have to add it at guest services on the ship."
Question If I do my check in before my sister who is traveling with me and I pick the Check in appointment time then that will automatically populate on her check ?
So if I cam checking in with my two kiddos when I am filling in all this information can I just put me (the parent) and then list my children at the end or do I have to essentially do this same thing three different times? Thanks!
Can I check in for both my sister and myself and if so what of her information will I need? We will both be doing separate cash accounts for sign and sail
Yes, you can check in for both of you (if you are on the same booking). You will need to have the same information as what you will enter for yourself. All of that is in the video
We have 2 rooms booked and linked already in the cruise app. Will this allow for 1 checkin for my family? Or will I have to check in both rooms separately?
Hey Hani, thanks for this! Quick question for you - We plan to use our passports as our ID of choice, but one of us won't have it until after that two-week check-in mark. Is that info one of the things we can skip until we have it in hand?
You're welcome. That's a good question. You can skip, but you can't fully check-in until that is complete. Will you have it before midnight prior to your sailing? Here is why I ask: "All guests are required to complete their Online Check-in and print their boarding pass no later than midnight prior to sailing."
@@TheBeachLife Oh absolutely, yep. We'll have it at the latest a week before departure. Just not when the two-week clock rolls over for checkin to get the arrival time. Thanks again!

I did my check in last night I did everything and it is complete. It says you are set. Can I print out my boarding passes now even though it says final boarding time says TBA is it OK or do I have to wait until there’s a time to print them out
