@@lirkingnewchannelindesc5485 yea of course, this applies to all versions even future releases. if any drastic change happens just let me know and ill make another video but as of now SSF2 method of downloading mods have been the same for long time.

When i put the dat file into the folder i didn't have a pop up for replacement,m all it did was put it next to the dat file it was supposed to replace and nothing has changed, HELP ME PLS
Try placing it exactly on the file
I did trade in the character data I have for the new one as told, but when I start the Game it is the same as always. Any Ideas as to why the mods won't work? The Mods are for 1.0.0 and 1.0.3.2, while I have the newest version
The only reason this will happen is if your SSF2 is corrupt or is missing essential files. In your case it might just be outdated mods, try only using 1.0.3.2 or the most up to date version.
i tried to download the ultimate version of battlefield to SSF2 and it didnt worked. any suggestions?

I don't see any folders. The folder you made I don't even have the original one. Any idea why this might be happening or what its called?
I've heard this being a common issue try deleting it entirely and reinstalling the game.
so i followed what you did however when i go in game nothing changes. for example im getting a luffy mod and its meant to replace yoshi but in game yoshi is still yoshi

It could be you made a duplicate of the .dat file or you could have an incompatible version

i mayde a folder with ssf2 in it but i only see that not everything you have there
Some of that stuff i have in there is just extra stuff i put in there. All you should see is the application and a couple folders saying data, replay, adobe air, etc.
I tried to replace Black Mage with Sans using a mod and when i opened it IG it was still black mage, any help?

does this only work on the installer version? I'm using the portable version and none of the mods I downloaded seem to work.
I'm not sure, I never tried the portable version.
My outdated PC cant run the new Beta but it can run the old 0.8 Great tech tutorial though, it'll help when I update my gear.
There are graphic settings that let you turn it down all the way or customize it to fit on all PC's

how do I make the game to a folder, when it downloads its only the game that downloads what do I do
right click your desktop icon and click on open file location and it show take you to the other folders.
It's not working for me. Is it because of a newer version of SSF2? (1.1.0.1 Beta)
The process should be exactly the same depending on the mod. But most mods use this process.
Can you do this on a mac book
bro, ive put a mod in did the steps, and it went in, and it doesnt seem to still work, so like i dont know man the mod is to suprise my sisters because we role play together and they always wanted to keep like a full power for example naruto nine tails, ultra instinct goku and 4th gear luffy :( please help dude, i would appericate if you made another vid about it and im using 1.2.3.2

I place the mod into the data folder and replace whichever "Dat" file the mod is but its not working. Any advice?
If its not working try re-downloading the game and try again, if it continues let me know again.

By any chance do you know how to get mods on the mac version of ssf2 beta. I went to show package contents, clicked on contents and then found the data folder with all the other stuff replaced the file with pit with the one you have in the video relaunched the game and it didn't work.
Meaning the mod didn't work. The game was fine
Hmm... i'm not sure within this case since I don't have a mac but the process should be the same on all PC's the data folder should be consistent. Show me a screenshot if you can.

dude please help when i drag the thing into the data it says it was denied but it still lets me put it in i guess, basically it says denied because i need administration access or something, so when i drag it into the data i go to ssf2 and when i go in ssf2 i literally dont see any mods
your gonna need to bypass administration access or disable it. What type of computer are you using?

@@denstination2736 Go to settings, then go to accounts. on the side you should see "Family & Other Users." if there is already an account click on it and change it to administration if not make an account and make it administrative.
Hi. I'm new at SSF2 modding and I have a question. Does a mod only work on *one* given version or it works on all versions?

Hey and its ok, your english is very good. But mods typically only work on one version unless the creator updates it.

You have to download the portable version, not the installer since everything is pre-packaged into one application. Here are two links for portable version if depending on if you got windows or mac

If i start playing with a mod then take the mod off and start playing the game again, will anything corrupt?
Yes and no. If you place back the original .dat file it should work, but if you delete the modded dat file and don't replace it then yes it will not work.

Check the file destination it downloaded to. For example, if it downloaded to downloads check there.
Okay. Thanks. But i already had figured it out. I think something was wrong with them, like for example, none of the mods i was using were 'DAT.ssf' files. I downloaded 3 mods today. Still, thanks. After installing SSF2 as an app it worked. I know you probably didnt see my notification 'till recently though but thanks anyway! ((This video did help me after i figured out how to go to archives and download ssf2 .)) Also, have you ever had the problem when the loading screen gets stuck at 5% loaded? It happens to me, and when it does i have to re-install it. And one last thing. Do you showcase mods? Because if you do, i know an op vegeta mod. Thanks for your time! Cya!

And occassionally i have had loading issues but only if i've played on websites where SSF2 is embeded.

It shouldnt make any difference, on the website they have different downloads based on your OS.

So everytime I put a mod in the Data folder, the mod stays in it's folder, and it doesn't work. Any fix? I'm using the Vegito mod return!! (Normal Version!)

It shouldn't matter what version of beta from what i know, but it does depend on the developer of the mod.

Absolutely, as long as you don't use the installer download and just download the Zip File.

Not exactly sure, but it should be similar. what are you having issues with finding on mac?

It was a mod used while the 1.0.0 update was out

@@dk-1487 That seems like an issue with the mod itself, try a different version of the same mod.
