Great points, thank you. My team gave a presentation at New Zealand Defence Force yesterday and checking the room beforehand was critical to success as we needed revert to an offline demo due to technical difficulty between locations around the country.
Love it ! The first point really makes a difference, if you know your topic very well you’ll be much more confident and comfortable while giving your speech 👏🏻
Wonderful tips, understandable, practical, and applicable. Thank you TM Ramona, the WCPS. This is from TM Paul Baskaran, a Softskill Trainer by passion and profession.Cheers
I am a teacher struggling with classroom management. I have developed anxiety when addressing the entire class because when I speak, the class acts as if I don’t exist. I try to maintain a calm assertive tone, warm but strict. I know my subject matter and audience. Please advise.
I fully agree on everything. Particularly the first point. If you know the subject well, everything else even if they fail, will pull the strings through somehow.

I always have a severe nervousness especially when I want to speak to an audience or an unfamiliar person, I end up stammering and stuttering making my speech to be so inarticulate. I have applied the strategies listed in this video even before now, but the situation continues on me. I'm currently an undergraduate in a University, and this problem has made life so uneasy for me in the campus. What do I do?
i had the same problem. What i do now is the day of the speech i stay completly away from any sugar or caffine; I drink loads of chamomile tea throughout the day before my speech; When i am giving the speech after every few sentences I read the upcoming sentence in my head before I say it out loud (this helps to give my brain and nerves a quick break during the speech); also before and during the speech if any thoughts of self doubt come up I combat them with positive affirmations. I hope this helps!
Please I want tips on how to beat anxiety 😢
Love the clarity of all five points!
