When u make music for art and not just for money, u make things like that. Awesome and beautiful!
Yeah, its true :)
Exacto :)
And then you make money for doing things right which is also really cool.
Lit brother!
Gabriel Caramalac so true
Charles Bradley is by far one of the greatest soul musicians of this generation. Soul hits very close to the heart and unfortunately most people have over loved that. Personally Charles Bradley will always have a place in my heart.
RIP Charles Bradley ❤️
This song sums up the first 3 months of 2020
Amen
100% truth
Oh no my friend it'll be ALL of 2020
@@EvanAxer ain't that the truth

Unfortunately I hadn't discovered Charles Bradley for myself tell after he passed but this is so timeless It doesn't really matter
Cities all across the US are up in flames this weekend. Communities are hurting. Cities are burning. People are broken and crying out for change. Charles Bradley, your music is still ministering hope and understanding. God do we need it now more than ever
Hi, his great and powerfull * SPIRIT * is still working on us. This flames are a need to clear up the situation we
have on this planet, there is a lot to dispose..........
"broken and crying" more like using a movement as excuse for anarchy
@@mariocaffari5015=Im sorry how is burning American communities businesses (all ethnicities, yes also burning down their own races) needed to clear up the situation? How do you live with yourself. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless America.
@@juanmanuel7305 exactly, they are pathetic. Pray for them, thats all we can do for the brainwashed.
This man kissed me on the forehead at Osheaga! See him live, legend in the making
when everybody ditched this style, charles stuck with it til the end and delivered these masterpieces to us, thank you charles, may you rest in peace
Y'all know he's jammin up in heaven right now. Rest in Peace Charles Bradley, thank you for putting your soul out there for all of us the way you did.
He left us a peace of heaven while hell reign on him. Let us take this peace and create more of a heavenly place and take accountability of our wrongs so we can change for the better. Have a beautiful day ☀️
I hope he is. I would love to gather my dogs and chill in a Charles session. I miss them all.
I'll never forget the time I saw Charles Bradley perform live. August 31, 2011. It was a tiny venue in a hangout area on my school's campus, with a stage and setup thrown together in a relative hurry by the student-run radio station who had managed to get him to perform here and that I was a part of, and there was a small assembled crowd of what couldn't have been more than 50 people who were in attendance, but he played as loudly and passionately and soulfully as if he were in a sold-out auditorium of 50,000 and we were all to a one in the palm of his hand from start to finish. While my memories of that night are somewhat scattered and more feelings than actually recallable and definitive, I have one clear memory that sticks in my head. It was when I had somehow managed to find myself front and center, not 5 feet directly in front of the man himself, and with only a microphone and a 3 inch tall stage between us he opened his arms wide and let out a soulful wail that could pierce a heart of the hardest and coldest stone in the next county over. That moment will stick with me forever, as will my appreciation for the man and his music.
RIP Mr. Bradley, and thank you for all that you were able to give us
2024 still hearing and feeling in the deep soul!
R.I.P Man, we will miss you and your amazing voice!
Your brazilian fan
charles doesnt get the recongintion he deserves truly one of the best. RIP
Rest in heavenly peace Mr. Bradley.
What Charles Bradley does is he travels with only his horn player, and then he has local artists play with him during performances; hands down one of the best artists I have ever seen in my life (:
While everyone his age are retiring, this guy has just brought the groove back.
soundtrack to my rainy night.
Hello, guys! Here's a Brazilian fan Charles Bradley. The songs this man touch on soul. Spectacular.
you know it's going to be good because he's sweating and the song hasn't even started yet
i was thinking the same exact thing!
same thoughts!
LMAO!
Sweats motor oil, thats what
this was in the middle of a long set. in texas. youd be sweatin too.
Rest easy Charles. You had a tough life. Thank you for some excellent music. Tragic he did not get the attention and recognition he deserved
Don't think like that... just think he changed someone life. A teacher can't change every student but change one and that's enough I'm sure he's happy in heaven knowing he affected each and every one of us who listen to him...
My son has finally taught me something! What a singer.....
The bass line is fantastic made for this song.
I'm here, that's just a marker in time for my family when I've gone, love and peace X

I came here after I heard about his passing this weekend. True artist. Deeply missed. Great legacy.

Welcome to SOUL.
No prejudice!
No discrimination!
No finger pointing!
No woke shit!
Just people with pure SOUL.
That voice punches you in the face like the sweetest kiss you've ever known.
That gravelly scream is fantastic.
This world
Is going up in flames
And nobody
Wanna take the blame
Don’t tell me
How to live my life
When you
Never felt the pain
Oh, oh, oh
Come on babe
They don’t hear me cry
They don’t hear me try
They don’t hear me cry
For what I gonna do, yeah baby
I can’t turn my head away
Seeing all these things
The world
Is burning up in flames
And nobody
Wanna take the blame
You oh you
You oh you
Me oh me
They don’t hear me cry
They don’t hear me try
Don't stomp on that light
It’s killing me
Oh babe
Come on babe, get it right
Gotta be
A better world
Gotta make it baby
Gotta make it right
Ooh
Yeah, yeah, yeah baby, aha aha, oh baby
see*
Gracias por tus canciones Charles, descansa en paz.
One of the few artists that actual sound the same if not better live. A Legend for sure. RIP my brother
He is an amazing musician, when he sings it’s straight from the heart. This song made me a fan. He sings with such conviction and the music is obviously inspired by 60s/70s artists like Curtis Mayfield and James Brown, it just captures the sound and essence of the music from that time so well. Charles Bradley is living proof that music isn’t dead, there’s still hope.
"Charles Bradley is living proof that music isn't dead".
Charles Bradley died 2 years ago.
David Davidson
Shit, another brilliant musician, gone. I’m sick of all these great people hitting the dirt
Constant chills. Rest in peace.
Have you ever seen a more genuine thanks for the applause? Gold
This man was amazing. I hope God has a special place in heaven

I don't know how he achieves provoke me feel a lot of energy and nostalgic at the same time, and is incredible that all of his songs are AMAZING!!!
Rest in Peace.. Your Music will allways remain and give us the power to move on in a not allways easy world
This ought to be number one around the world
Why isn't this man all over MTV! There is some real talent that MTV refuses to even play!
Some of the best music out there right now. I heard Charles and his band at work on Craig Charles's show and had to scribble the name on my hand as soon as i heard it!
Estou a horas tentando selecionar as melhores palavras pra descrever Charles Bradley e essa banda sensacional... Não encontrei ainda uma forma de descrever ...
Pensando e repensando Charles Bradley é Divino ...!
Uma grande perda é a sua ausência nesse plano terrestre, os grandes gênios infelizmente partem muito cedo muitas vezes... R.I.P
Brazilian fan !
Charles Bradley, the last soul man.
Everything that was simple, beautiful and great about soul music is in Bradley and that band. Love the band. Don’t want to start anything but to me white bands always provide the best backing for soul singers.
Mark
I tend to agree, I don't like to say it. but to have a Full Black band might be a little to much soul for one band. too many story's and to many feeling make it sound clouded and confused. And a black singer with a white band also looks cool.
max goedvolk It's the history of soul music. Check out the documentary Muscle Shoals.
You couldn't be more right Mark Clarke!
Like the best communities and the world itself - swirl those experiences together, splash on some respect and the outcome is dynamite.
That may be true in this era, but lets not forget the original soul bands who perfected this sound. Bands such as The Barkays, Funkadelic, Bootsy Collins, The Ohio Players, Confunkshun, EWF, The Dazz Band, Lakeside and The S.O.S Band. Technology and Hip Hop has taken an entire generation away from a dedicated artform.... Music with actual instruments. Oh it it doesn't get any funkier than "The Roots" Who says that an "All Black Band may be a little too much soul"? Really???
Rest in peace brother, you left something truly amazing behind.
Rest Sweet, Mr. Bradley. We will miss you terribly!
My 12 year loves Charles Bradley :D ..............my children gonna be raised on some good ish :D
Vou sentir saudades do Charles Bradley. Descanse em Paz.

Hoy Domingo, escuchare todas tus canciones posibles que pueda escuchar, es lo mínimo que podría hacer, por todo los grandes temas que dejaste. Gracias. Descansa en paz.

this band sounds so modern and so vintage at the same time... Charles brings the whole spirit of real soul and the band makes it sound like it's something you've never heard before... so fucking amazing!!
It's rare that you find such powerful music these days. When I hear something like this, and i'm sure it's the same for a lot of you, it almost brings a tear to the eye, the power of music like this hits deep, you know, to the core. It's not a black or white thing, it's a music thing.
18 ppl didnt like this song? how can you not like this....
Thank you KEXP. I love you with all my heart.
This is one of my favorite artist. Charles Bradley is keepin it real. No plastic Lady Gaga or Brittany Spears here. Just great musicianship combined with raw, dirty, stripped down, honest and beautiful soul music sung from the heart and his real life experiences. Enjoy.
this man is amazing
Amazing performance from this incredible man. I had the opportunity to watch him and receive a hug. This song describes exactly the world's moment we're going through. 😔
Still alive this voice, great
I've listened to this song and "Why Is It So Hard" around 100 times in the last 2 days. When I stop, I have to restart them again.
This much soul into his performance, for a bunch of people only! I wish this guy had the recognition he deserve. The fact tha he didn´t make me sick of the music industry...
Rip big man n thank you for the music ❤️
I remember first hearing this jewel of a singer on Mr. Jukes and I've been a fan since. You made this world a better place ❤️ with your voice. Rest In Power King

His blood is replaced by liquid soul. What a king!!
Burn baby burn. R.I.P. Charles sir. Brilliant. X. Life affirming stuff. Should have got recognition a lot earlier in his life.
