I'm so glad you have the correct tabs, a lot of the sections are tabbed out incorrectly on all the tab sites. I watched Petrucci's hand and knew it wasn't as difficult as the tabs were making it.
Thank you for such a comprehensive lesson! But watching Petrucci lives I noticed that he plays sextuplets (from the intro) just in one position, somewhere on 2-5 frets. I cannot outline these notes and picking pattern((
I covered and upload this song a week ago, and man that section after the solo is so f***ing hard. This is a great tutorial Btw. Nice done, I just discovered your channel and man you play really really well. Greetings From Mexico. Subscribed already.
How come this kind of lesson didn't exist when I was younger? So I didn't have to break half a dozen cassette player with the result still far from how it's supposed to be...lmao
Great lesson. But you should focus more on the theory part of things. Specially if you are playing something that complex as Petrucci, if the guitar players knew (some do) what they are playing and the context of it, it would make the process so much pleasurable. BTW, my suggestion- Impossible things, Nick Johnston
I've been watching some kind of guitar lesson like this about 15 years ago but trust me the way you teaching is making the beginner player blur and confused. Try making a lesson by split it into a part by part and less talking, as we know only the beginner will watch this and they're don't want to know anything about the theory they just want to learn the song.
Very interesting. This is one of my all time favorite JP tracks...I've had about 70% of it down for years, just never bothered with the rest...lol I was just playing it last night actually. The F# main arp lick is so much fun, especially with the octave jump and neck pickup.
Made our mind wider when it comes to modes I've never encountered or playing the harmonic scale and it's modes but you made it simple sir for us to relate yehey
