That 4.0 engine is normally very solid. The door viny comes off on all of them of that vintage. Had one shop quote me at $180 per door to get them replaced with factory looking vinyl. Great car and an easy flip for you. Another step towards the Bentley.
Good score Mike! Great change of pace. One thing about V6 Mustangs => folks tend not to beat the crap out of them like they do with the V8s. I hope this turns out to be a big winner for you.😉
You truly stole that car 🆒 Cons 210 horsepower positive 28 miles to the gallon. I'm a Mopar guy but welcome to American cars my friend you're going to love it 🇺🇲🇺🇲👍
Looks like a good car for the money. Little elbow grease, fluid changes, etc be a nice project car. May be cheaper Mike, to find some good used panels for the inside door inserts, and just put rear spoiler back on trunk where holes were for the spoiler originally. Overall love it Mike. Love videos of you and Randy together, as well michael(Santa's workshop). 🤣👍
That a great price for that mustang. That’s going to look really nice when you get it cleaned up and detailed. That’s a win win. Be a fun little pony to have around to cruise around in. Congrats on that
My son has a 2006 v6 Mustang for many years, good car! The engine was made in Deutschland. Weak points are paint adhesion on aluminum hood, vinyl door trim contact cement gives way. Sealed transmission weak especially in the 2006. Sway bar bushings (front/rear) need replacement regularly. Overall very good cars!
That’s a nice car and you got a steal of a deal. All she needs is a clean and a fresh paint job and a few little other odds and ends and she will be a great car. Brilliant work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
Surprise & suspense, for the 1st time in MWM' s history an American muscle car - Mustang came life to the channel....Nice work... it's ready to stand up....hope he'll find happiness 😊....greeting from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 🇲🇾...
I think you got a great deal on it. They sell 3m leather repair tape on amazon if you want to do a cheap repair on the seat. It works well for holes and sticks well too. Cant wait to see it cleaned up.
Glad to see you picking up a Mustang! You can find seats at pull a part quite often for these. Start watching and you can find one in much better shape. They are all the same color and material in the V6 models. I will keep an eye out around here for one too. That one has had the dual exhaust added and a different grill and rear bumper cover from the standard ones, so that is a bonus. You can get a spoiler at pull a part too. The door panel coming off is a common thing on these. You can get replacement panels several places. I agree that a $500 paint job would be a good investment. Fix her up and take us along for the ride!
Hay Mike, that looks like a really smart machine, do a first wash video and show us how well it cleans up, it looks like some nice red paint under the dust and the interior with a little work should come up very well
Hi Mike. Love, love, love your channel! Just something you can check, it's likely that the seat is ripped due to a deployed air bag in the seat back. May need to replace that and sew the seat back cover. May need to have the air bag module reset too. Keep up the great work! 👍👌😊❤️
The guages were called my color and would go any color you wanted. Buttons for dash color change should be to the right of the steering wheel . Three buttons on the dash and one should say info. Somehow with those the colors change but I forget cause got rid of mine along time ago.
Wow Mike! Congrats and welcome back to the family! Lol! It should be a good project for you, and parts should be easy to get and less $$$. I'll grab a hat and sticker from you if you bring them on the Power Tour!
Good score Mike!! Pull a part for the seat, have a look at the door panels...if they are loadsa money then a bit of DIY may sort them out. Dont bother painting the hood...just scuff and reclear!! All the best from Hackney London UK
Well well well Mike. You went native! The Mustang looks like a good buy at $1980, not that I know much about US car prices, but there is nothing wrong with that Cologne built V6 engine. Rock solid, straightforward and why it started right up. We can trace that right back to the first V6 Capris built in Germany and the UK from 1968! These were European 'Mustangs'. The Mustang is about the only US made car that finds a home in the UK and they are liked here. OK so we also have a few Chrysler PT Cruisers as well. But we all make mistakes. I can see you spending some time but not a lot of cash on this American legend. Enjoy!
Thanks for feedback and perspective, I always wondered where the European ancestry was tied to every time I was changing the motor oil and seeing Germany stamped on the engine block. Nice smooth power output, not quite as powerful as my Corvette but a fine engine.
@@johneder2416 the UK also built a V6 called 'the Essex' but it was a 3 litre and went into the UK built cars while the Cologne 2.3, 2.6, 2.8 litre V6 went into German built cars. Quite different engines but both were smooth and powerful.
@@1chish we got the Ford Capri with the 2.8 liter V6 and was a semi cult-car back in the 1970’s here in the States but the Mustang overshadowed it. I always loved the Capri’s.
I love it Mike especially having special edition 45 year anniversary might make it more interesting to work on and I love the fog lights. My dad loved both the v6 and v8 he is an ex race car driver and he loved how it drove but the main thing he said was the seatbelt was extremely annoying due to the seatbelt height couldn't be adjusted but he is over 6.ft and he said that it made driving very uncomfortable on long journeys over time but maybe yours has a height adjusters because I believe my Dads was a 06 and your was a 09 take care Mike and have a good one
What a pleasant surprise. Other than cleaning and some cosmetic work, it almost looks ready for you flip it. Good choice, Mike. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a 5.0 :)
Nothing wrong with a V6 Mustang. They’re fun! Just saw that you can get red leather inserts for those door panels for about $150 a set. That could look good. 😊
Good car I see I'm not a mustang fan but I would buy it and drive it clean it up be good to go good fine Mikey keep up the good work I enjoy your videos
Congrats Mike. A nice little car at a good price. Here's your chance to Make American Great Again! Hope you enjoy driving American for a change. Thanks for some variety and we'll see you next time.
Mustangs are fun. I had a '67 in high school and all three of my kids had one in high school. My youngest son still has his '94 GT 5-speed he got in 2002. Can't wait for you to actually get it on the road.
Congrats on your purchase...I wasn't a big fan of the 6 cylinder Mustangs but with gasoline prices being what they presently are I think you definitely scored with this car...I think the question to ask is do you like it as it being your personal car or are you cleaning it up fixing minor things then selling it for a profit...?????
Hi from uk MPM😂👋👍 great to see your a traitor to merc and randy finally rubbing off on you to explore your horizons👌little bit of love she'll be minta👍 and should of went back back for blue one you guys loaded up beside for parts😂 and nice to see one of those respectful viewers ""high"" ""how's it going"" ""I am gone""👍👍 hope she does well for you thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
I got a 2007 mustang at Copart a couple of months ago for $1200. Needed a little body work, but nothing major. Best of all clean no brand title. My first mustang and I love it
Nice purchase! (AND the Drive Through Window works!) Hopefully you can make a deal with Randy for his old trailer so you don't have to rent trailers anymore! I could not find a link for your merch....
nice ride Mike as a lot of people mention Pick-n-Pull is the best place get your parts to restore it you can pick up seats for really reasonable looking forward to you doing videos on this baby
That air bag light on means the sensor had been triggered and the air bag could possibly deploy with out warning. I bought a 2006 chevy cobalt that had been in a slight fender bender with the same issue it broke down on me 2 week later and a traded it off to a dealer in sandsprings that gave me more to trade it in than what I bought it for.
Airbag light means there is a fault within the system and all airbags will be disabled until the fault is repaired. Airbags won't deploy for no reason.
Looks like someone had a wing on the back at some point. Seal those holes up somehow so you don't flood the boot next good rain. I had a 69 428cj back in the 70s. I've always loved mustangs and camaros.
Nice find Mikey. My thoughts on the areas where the clear is delaminating, just scuff & reclear, cover over the decal w/ the clear also at this point. A good detaill & getting replacement pleather for the door panels, disassemble the armrest, glue your piece in, reassemble armrest to panel, drive it like ya stole it, 'cause ya did.....🤔
Mate..bloody good win, wish could go down tge road and get a winner for $1980.00 well done.Randy thankingyou for the scissors cut me up.(made me laugh).
Two bags for a 2009 Mustang is a steal Mike. That trunk lid needs replacing but I think you could do the door inserts with some alcantara and spray glue. Just spray the glue on using card to prevent it getting on the door and just stick new material to it. Use a plastic trim panel tool to push it into the seam and then trim off with a craft knife once the glue dries.
Looks like American muscle cars are popular on TH-cam land. I suppose more people can relate to them than 'fancy' German (over)engineering. A straight road, a large block engine and a case full of beer....heaven!! Keep up the good work. Love your enthusiam. PS Randy sure does know about American cars.
I have a gt just like this and the only way to get in the trunk is the key or key fob. There is no button anywhere to open it. I love it snd u made a great deal on it
I bought a new 2005 Mustang GT in dark red with a stick shift which means it had a cloth interior and those wheels you have on your car. That was a great car.
Looks like a great buy Mike! So what’s the project going to be with the Tang? Stock? Custom? Look forward to it. Getting one step closer to being a Mopar guy 🤣
With gas prices the way they are, the 6-cylinder may be a hit. It is a great purchase.
2009 doesn't have trunk release not on that model. You go through the back seat and pull emergency cord. Also you buy a kit for that trunk.
That's a good foundation to start from! You can fix her up pretty easy!!
That 4.0 engine is normally very solid. The door viny comes off on all of them of that vintage. Had one shop quote me at $180 per door to get them replaced with factory looking vinyl. Great car and an easy flip for you. Another step towards the Bentley.

I’ve been waiting to watch this one!!
At 2 am? When do you sleep??
You truly stole that car 🆒 Cons 210 horsepower positive 28 miles to the gallon. I'm a Mopar guy but welcome to American cars my friend you're going to love it 🇺🇲🇺🇲👍

Hey Mike, you got an amazing deal! I would think you could sell it after fixing it up painting it etc. and make some money!
Yes!!!!! Congratulations Mike. My first car I ever bought myself was also a Mustang. Base model V6, but I loved it. Iove that body style too.

Those generation Mustangs are great and that red pops, congratulations!
Very nice Mustang. Looking forward to this.

Congratulations on your new purchase Michael!! It is certainly different from the other cars you already have.
You did good Mike.real nice car.
Great pickup, will be a great car after a good service & and damn good clean.
Nice buy for the price. Some general cleanup, maintenance and flip it for some bucks.
Mike your got a new car wow 😯🚘 another Opera congrats… Randy that mustang needs LLC auto Spa engine and interior

Guess I should buy a few more stickers from you buddy!!! Yes the C43 AMG is a car I’ll buy one day.
Thank you for the response and enjoy your Mustang!

My 06 v6 4.0 had plenty of power for a v6. Also mine did almost 30 mpg on the hwy.
People talk bad about V6 Mustangs, and Mustangs in general, but they are nice driving cars and that is all that matters.
You did great Mike! Randy is right today's market, one helluva deal. Very glad for ya! Clean it up put a spoiler on back double your money!
