I'm sweating, my heart beat racing thinking about it.
My first boyfriend invited me over for an anime binge watch session. I came over and we started off by eating snacks and getting to know each other. We drew some characters we like and exchanged social media info. We went to the couch and watched a series on Netflix and eventually fell asleep in each other’s arms. When he was getting up to get a drink of water he casually kissed my cheek and called me cute. I was caught off guard because we were talking about the show. It made me feel comfortable and I blushed a bit. He came back and we cuddle some more and then I fell asleep. It was nice to let my guard down around him because I felt safe. After the show was over, we kissed a bit and had dinner and he got an Uber for me to leave. It was my first date ever so I liked being able to stay in one spot and do multiple things. We got to know each other and now we’re planning our wedding.

I'm 18 myself. I'm still learning these kinds of things even tho I've been with this one girl for a year now. I'm a slow learner too, but I'm slowly getting the handle of things like taking charge and coming up with fun interesting things to do on dates, and knowing what your partner wants without them telling you, things like that.

It's worth being yourself in the end though, because its a date you should show genuine fun and interest. If you aren't yourself from the beginning you'll be playing a character which can be exhausting in the long run, plus you want her to be attracted to the real you otherwise if she doesn't accept you as yourself it's not worth spending time with them.

I like doing a 3 step date. Do something active like skating, arcades ect. Then food at somewhere unique doesn't have to be pricey but it should have some character then somewhere passive like parks or museums or window shopping. Active places sets a physical and playful tone. Food...well girls loves food and it kind of advances your playfulness while learning about eachother. And the passive helps cool down and allows for more intimacy. If you are window shopping go to upscale malls it has way more stuff to look at and makes things more interesting

i disagree on the park one, i recently had a date, and it went amazing at the park, it could've been that we talked nonstop for hours, about life stories and such, it depends on how good you're at talking to people, if you suck and have not that many stories to tell, i agree on switching things up to spark emotion, if you can't by yourself

To build off that idea, my first dates always go the exact same way. Pick her up and then do one planned thing (9 times out of 10 bubble tea) and then one semi-planned thing (drive to a random park and walk around).
With both plans, you're precise in what you want to do and that shows initiative. But with the second part, it still shows initiative, but also that you're adventurous and don't exactly have to do everything planned and by the book. Every time I do the second part and say something like "I've never been to this park, but let's walk around and see if we find something interesting.", the reactions are always great.
I have always been the one planning the date and i never had a problem with it. No problem with putting a little effort in^^
Something that always bothered me a bit on dates: when we just walk and talk (which i love) i like to walk slowly, maybe i can hook my arm in. Bit guys for whatever reason just walk so damn fast. So take my advice: if you walk with your date, adjust your speed

First date: take a walk or something active instead of sitting down and eating. It's less stressful trying to build up a conversation, especially those who are more shy/introverted. Plus it builds up endorphins.
Went out on a date a while back. Had a great time, went to an art show, had some dinner, drinks. Mad physical chemistry, physical escalation, interesting conversation. Generally good vibes. If you ordering for someone it seems polite to pay. If you don't plan to pay for dinner just don't take your date to dinner. Skip it. Do a park or beach, grab an icecream (maybe a cup and share).
If you not prepared to pay, instead of stressing abt it, just take it off the table completely.
If your date then suggests grabbing something to eat then you are off the hook to pay and the date should be prepared to at least go dutch.

I wouldn't necessarily say "easier". I think there are elements at play that men don't have to even consider. The primary concern being: " Is this guy going to rape/ kill me?"
To be perfectly honest... I would rather have to focus on being funny/ charming rather than have to worry about if my date is going to try and pull some shit on me.

I am a girl and kind of a take charge type so I used to love planning activities to take my dates on and it was never an issue but the guys who kept my interests are guys who would also make suggestions on what do and give me options and ask my opinion on stuff instead of just following quietly the whole time.
