Any perceived lag is from the weirdness of recording the deck screen with my phone. The game runs flawlessly in person :)
There was a time when Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast was simply the BEST game of all time on any system. Seeing this video is SO nostalgic!

Did my ~10th 100% completion run last year with friends. What a game!
Right? Why didn't Sega go for more this style PSO when relaunching in the West for Series X? The version we have now isn't even close to what I'd been missing since the OG XBOX Days.

but the one we got in the rest wasnt a relaunch lol it was phantasy star online 2 the free to play which was pretty different then original pso and universe combat wise,
the one we got in the west was the original pso2 2012 or maybe it was the late pso2 2018update as the western release was a few years behind jp pso2,
that said hopefully with that classic remake collection has pso1 ep1+2 plus or blue burst,
would be cool to see.
but yeah action rpg instead of the classic rpg style gameplay id take pso1 over pso2 unless its classic pso2 but even then i would like to have the pso1 combat system.

@@zzzzzz-zn1yw I was having some shadow errors and my CPU fan was whirling as soon as the game would come on. But dgvoodoo2 fixed it all up.
@@thetdy1 my steam deck comes in tomorow, I'm gonna be putting so many windoes games on it I can't wait for the struggle

Could you explain how you set-up the radial menu on the right trackpad for the Numbers? I can't find a way to do it

How were you able to bind items to the hotbar? thanks!
They didn't make it very intuitive. In the menu where you bind techniques/items to controller buttons, you highlight the tech, then hit the number on the keyboard (or in this case, one of the radial menu angles)

I got it to work on my SD OLED but the fps are all over there... is there a specific DirectX or other graphics setting I should try? Did you change TDP at for this game?
Directx12, 4w, 30fps lock, OLED model. Great battery life.
That right trackpad seems very useful. I wish my controller had that.
I installed the game and everything goes good up until I enter the game and then I can’t move with the controller. Any advice?
Go back to the home page with the game and go to the controller settings. And use community controller setups. One of them will work for you. Usually the most downloads or up votes is best.

Cant launch in steam, but I can launch with Wine straight from the folder??? any pro tips?
My radial menu was working previously as it was displaying on screen when you're using the touchpad, but now the overlay does not display anymore. Any ideas?
NVM, just restarted the deck a couple times and everything is good now
Compared to your issue this is embarrasingly elementary but... how do you get the keyboard to pop up? I can't log in...
Tried installing on Lutris, I keep getting stuck at "changing to Windows 7"

Managed to get the game running on the deck however the ground is all black and lots of shadows, any help?
I'd try to change to directX11 or DirectX12. And maybe check the guide to see if there was an update or patch to fix this issue

You can run it on lutris, there's a guide out there. You can play on ephinea

Was trying to figure out of my game was choppy on the deck but I think yours looks the same way. Playing PSO for the first time this way, been fun so far learning the game and controls.

Just got my deck today and I'm having issues installing. Is there a video tutorial. I've saw the reddit post but I'm stuck on the installing portion on Lutris. It says OSError(Invalid wine prefix.......)
I got it to run but open areas are black. Have you ran into this issue?
@@jamelcofield8984if you're having issues try changing to directX11 or DirectX12. It fixed my issues
How do you get Blue Burst working on Linux?
Game is all set up and running smoothly. But the hardest part is settings controls
How do you swap weapons so fast? I can't do that on a controller
Hold L1 and hit Y. Brings up the weapons menu bar. Just keep an extra weapon there. You get used to swapping quick at their level.

Yea man I am a pso addict , how are you playing pso bb on it?! Is it shthack server? Also is it possible to play pso2 on deck without installing windows??!! I have my steam deck coming in in a few days and all I really care about playing is pso2 , and now pso bb that I've seen it running on deck!
@@Aaron-kf7vt so I've noticed pso2 runs GREAT on deck , however it has some issues with new genesis but I am happy with finally playing pso2 on an American handheld!

how do you get the enemy health bar to show?
On the Ephinea server. When you just hit start and bring up your menu. There is an option under the settings for it.
