Welcome back to "Cruise Travel And Explore With Stick Man Stick Steve"! It's Day 11 of our incredible journey aboard the Marella Explorer 2, and today we're docked at the beautiful port of Messina, Sicily! 🏝️
In today's vlog, get ready for a whirlwind of adventures as we dive into the heart of Sicily's cultural gems! 🎬🍽️
Our day kicked off with an exhilarating excursion booked through Marella Cruises - The "Godfather Villages and Taormina" tour! 🎥⛰️ We couldn't wait to explore the iconic filming locations from "The Godfather. Movie" Our first stop was Savoca, a charming village nestled amidst the Peloritani mountains. We wandered through its cobblestone streets, marvelling at the ruins of a medieval castle and paying homage to the iconic Bar Vitelli, immortalised in cinematic history. 🎞️
Next, we ventured to Forza d'Agro, another picturesque setting that captured our imaginations. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, we soaked in the tranquil ambiance and marvelled at the timeless beauty of Sicilian life. 🏰
Our journey culminated in the enchanting town of Taormina, where we had the opportunity to explore at our own pace. From the ancient Greek amphitheater offering panoramic views of Mount Etna to the charming streets lined with quaint shops and cafes, Taormina stole our hearts with its timeless allure. 💖
After our unforgettable excursion, we returned to the Marella Explorer 2 for some well-deserved relaxation and indulgence. We headed to the Mediterranean restaurant on Deck 11 for a sumptuous tapas feast, savouring the flavours of Spain with each bite. 🍷
As the sun began to set, we made our way to the Flutes bar on Deck 6, where we raised a glass to another unforgettable day of adventure and discovery. 🥂
But the excitement didn't end there! We capped off the evening with a hilarious comedy show at the Broadway show lounge on Deck 7. While we couldn't capture the laughs on camera, the memories will be etched in our hearts forever. 🎭
From exploring ancient ruins to savouring Sicilian cuisine and enjoying onboard entertainment, our day was filled with unforgettable moments that will linger in our memories for years to come. 🌟
