Having just got back from our 2 weeks on the Explorer 2, I must congratulate you on an Excellent Video. Very well narrated, also very logical, thorough and accurate. You've given the ship all the credit it deserves. Maybe adding something about the Broadway shows would have been another deserving point, as the shows were excellent. But as for a walk through of the ship and it facilities you've covered everything and made it enjoyable to watch. So much so that we wont bother reminiscing through our own photos and videos, we'll just watch this video again instead. ;-D We've just subscribed and look forward on your reviews of other ships. Thanks again
@@garryrowland Many thanks for the lovely comment, it really does make this all worthwhile. I have to be careful with the show footage as TH-cam can issue a copyright claim which can be very frustrating. I’ll be having a few more ships tours coming up over the next few months all being well. Thanks again, your comment really made my day.
We finished our two week cruise on this ship a few days ago. It was a great first-time cruise experience. Like you say, the cruise staff are very friendly and helpful. The shows were very professional. Sometimes the cast would wait by the exits so you could complement them on a great show. The cruise directors Phil and Liam were a great laugh on their dedicated cruise news tv channel "CDTV".
I’m really pleased to hear that you had a great cruise. You’re quite correct in saying that Marella are a great choice for a first cruise as their ships are the perfect size and the entertainment is excellent. I really enjoyed chatting to the cast members after the shows, it’s just something that you can’t do on other cruise lines. Having great cruise directors is another important factor and once again, something Marella get right. Many thanks for watching and commenting on my video too.
Thank you. So informative. I'm looking at a solo Caribbean cruise going 24 Dec 24. I wondered if you have a view of how solo travellers are catered for on your cruise?
That’s going to be a fantastic time of year to be cruising. I can’t really say from a solo perspective but what I’ve found is that the other passengers tend to be more down to earth and chatty and that the crew are fantastic and will take care of you. I hope you have a wonderful time and many thanks for watching my video.
Great video, loads of helpful tips, we're on this ship for my first ever cruise in September and first visit to italy & Croatia, can't wait, food looks fabulous! Fabulous!
Great video thanks for taking the time to show us all, I have just booked a 7 night cruise on it and look forward to it, this is my first cruise and just wondering how much of the ship I will actually use as I’ll be away sight seeing every day as long as I can to see as much as possible
@@euanfox9734 Many thanks for the kind words. You’ll probably see plenty of the ship as she’s not too large and you’ll probably be back onboard by late afternoon. And are there no Sea Days? That’s when you would see much more of the ship then?
@@ALifeintheParks thanks for the reply, i suppose we will see the ship on our first day, day 2 is a sea day then the others we are in a new port each morning so night sailing. it is only 7 nights but looking forward to it. I suppose our days will be governed by the excursions.
Very helpful, thank you for sharing. This will only be our second cruise, and first time on a Tui cruise. We prefer breakfast in the dining area too! In fact, our evening meals in the main dining areas. We were disappointed with the speciality dining on our previous cruise with Azamara so I’m interested to know if you tried any speciality dining and if so, what did you think? Thank you 🙏🏻
@@cu4wur6023 Yes, I had dinner at Beach Cove which was very good and in a unique location on the pool deck. I also ate at Kora La on Explorer 1 which has a very similar menu to Explorer 2 and it was excellent. I have a video of that experience on my channel. Many thanks for watching and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask 👍
@@VINCE.M7MVH These are already included in the cruise fare unless you visit the Coffee port where they’re an extra cost. So there’s no need to purchase the Premium Drinks Package.
Is it just me or comparing it to other ships it looks a tad tired, especially on the decks, looks more of a ferry with a few extras than a cruise ship, no offense meant on the video it's just interesting how different they all are
The saying is ‘That there’s a cruise ship for everyone’ and it’s probably true. I’ve just got off Celebrity Apex which is so modern with stunning decor and has all the latest technology. But that comes at a price and Marella off an all-inclusive cruise plus flights, transfers, food and drink at a very competitive price point. And yes their ships are old and do show it at times, it’s just finding the ship that’s for you.

if we only drink pop and latte is it best to buy that drinks package or is this free all over the ship
