What I like about this is mordecai is still trying to act like he has more experience when he doesn’t. It’s like a lvl1 gamer trying to correct a lvl99 gamer.
Relationship experience only matters if you actually learn from them
That last line Rigby just said, that relationships don't need to be THAT complicated, I needed that. I think allot of us do.

I wonder if at this point, Rigby started becoming the emotional,ly intelligent one Of the duo, considering that you know he saved Mordechai A few times now plus he stepped up when it was necessary

I like how realistic this moment ends up feeling. I've definitely had friends who started dating and I didn't learn until later, and some of those same friends are very good at keeping it to themselves/not letting it invade their friendships. Some people get mad weird once they start dating someone
The only thing Rigby is actually better than Mordecai at something is dating.
Somehow _this_ was the worse advice Rigby ever gave Mordecai
Forgive me if this sounds harsh it’s just my opinion.
but it’s not really rigby’s fault Mordecai is a selfish loser who chose to dump his girlfriend at the worst possible time. And despite how frustrating it was to see their relationship end, it had to be done because Mordecai needed to focus on himself and Cj was suffering.

This is a very important lesson people need to understand. “Just because a relationship is complicated doesn’t mean it should be”
a decade ago everyone would’ve thought I was crazy if I said Rigby would become the most inspiring character on regular show. Going back to high school was really big but the fact that Rigby and Eileen barely had any problems in their impressive healthy relationship is just beautiful. Not only did they both have a lot in common but they were both way more down to earth compared to Mordecai and Margaret. Goes to show if you want a good soulmate be like Rigby.

Mordecai and CJ could’ve been the perfect couple. It’s just that Mordecai couldn’t get out of his own way.
