She deserves it , she chose to leave behind her own children, and her grandchild, and her entire family for a nasty man that she refuses to leave. She knows the only true way to fix things with her family is by leaving that man, but she chooses him over them. That’s a big problem and a huge red flag. Who does that???! He is an abusive , manipulating person. He got her onto drugs and dragged her away form her own family without a care in the world, he doesn’t give a shit about her family or June. He could have got her so hooked on drugs he could have killed her, and she chooses to stay with him. She has a problem, and she will continue to follow in his footsteps, she will continue to choose that man over her family , and I am sure she will go back to drugs again. Some people tend to gain weight while sober because, during addiction recovery, when the brain lacks chemicals from a drug a person would usually take during addiction, it would seek-out other substances sober people find pleasuring, which is food. This process is called addiction transfer, and it’s pretty normal. This explains why June and Geno gained weight cause they found food pleasuring, which helps them recover. But yeah, I think she and Geno should be on a better diet.

Pumpkin is a savage. She just didn’t tell Josh to sleep on the couch, she straight up had him sleep outside. That’s cold. Literally.

Pumpkin is going to end up pushing him away. He's obviously working to support them and yes there are people who do go to bed early for work the next morning. If all she does is argue with him on the phone I don't blame him for not wanting to talk to her. Construction isn't easy work.

June and Geno are going through a process of addiction transfer. When a person is sober, the brain lacks chemicals from a drug during addiction, and when the brain lacks chemicals from a drug, the brain seeks out other substances from any other things sober people find pleasuring, which is food. June and Geno find food comforting, and it helps them recover from an addiction, so it’s normal. But I do think they should be on a better diet soon.

I have been sober 3 years and met a lot of people in rehab and recovery. Yes you gain weight. Meth, heroin, crack.. you gain weight. You don’t eat when you have a drug addiction. Because your mind and body doesn’t think about food. Just drugs.
I get Pumpkin is under pressure but poor Josh. To work so hard for a house and sleep on the porch after his long journey home. Doesn't even get to play with his child. What a shame they will be divorced soon if she doesn't stop being unappreciative.

Yeah, my heart goes out to her. She is also amazing not a lot sisters her age can handle so much responsibility and stress. I also feel horrible for Alana as well. I also think this show should be paying them more. Pumpkin was working at Walmart as well. That’s ridiculous and she needs to get a lawyer to fight for her rights. Bc the producers of this show are completely walking all over her when it comes to money. I use to work behind scenes in Television and worked on a few reality shows, producers are extremely greedy and will take advantage of people who participate on a show. So pumpkin needs an advocate, she has a family to take care and the producers have more than enough to give her a good income so she doesn’t have to work a minimum wage job.

My husband and I did counseling for a year when we we in our early 20’s I was dealing with a major health issues. I had a tumor removed from my uterus and I was recovering. I had to leave work to recover and my husband was swamped with work. So the counseling was what really helped us get through the hard times. So I hope the show at least provides that for all of them.

That is normal. People who get more into an addiction need something different that distracts them. I have a friend who helps people with their addictions. And mostly they need something else. And that's what they were looking for. For example, some start out with extreme sports. Or with work

How are they affording a house in Fl on the beach when nobody appears to be working? She should be sending any money left for Alanas support and helping Lauren and Josh, not living the good life. June hasn’t changed one bit, expecting her kids to forgive her and expecting Lauren to pick up the phone every time she calls while she is struggling to maintain her family and her husband has to work like a dog in S.C. and only comes home on weekends. June is some piece of work, as she doesn’t expect to serve any consequence and is perfectly satisfied fulfilling her children’s wishes by spending a measly 30 days at a rehab in Fl. Sorry, but there’s more reparations after the war.

I remember seeing this show air from time to time when I was maybe 8 years old... then a few years ago heard of Mama June’s weight loss and TV show... I didn’t think 8 years later their family would go through this much.
I love pumpkin's new hair do, its cute on her. But, she needs to calm down with Josh. My husband worked over the road and he couldn't wait to get to bed at the end of the day. People DO go to bed at 9pm. Josh should at least answer her texts/calls when he can though. No need to ignore her and let her start assuming the worst.

I honestly don’t think she’s asking for much. Men think that working is the only responsibility they have. She has to be a chef, nanny, house keeper, etc. Those are all actual jobs. She has 2 kids to take care of and she’s young. All she’s asking for is communication which should be a given since they’re long distance now. He doesn’t want to her to voice her concerns or frustrations which isn’t fair. She’s suppose to be able to share her thoughts and feelings with her husband. He needs to stop running and deal with what’s going on. He’s using his job to escape the chaos but she’s living the chaos everyday. She deserves to unload.

She is really doing to much I know women say I cook clean and all that but I work 2 jobs Monday -Saturday I get 1 days to rest I come home take kids to school ok brake then pick them up on other brake I get up at everyday at 3am and end my morning job and start my shift at my night job at 2pm I have to provide for my nephews and nieces because my brother don’t like to take car did his kid he is not a fit parent didn’t wanna raise nomore kids but I got to.
Alana can clean and cook for herself. She can also help out and take turns to cook dinner to take all the responsibility off of pumpkin
