    Holy Batmobile!
    I think I was in shock the entire time - had to remember to shut my jaw at the end. Just amazing!
    I grew up watching this Batmobile cruise across the TV screen and was in love with it.
    I know the originals didn't drive very well, but I still wanted one.
    Yours is fabulous! Thank you for sharing.

    • @ArcaneGeek001
      @ArcaneGeek001 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@Batcarguy I am amazed that you were able to do that on a Continental platform. The Lincoln Futura (1953, I think) for the original was futuristic on its own. When made into the Batmobile it became a character on its own.
      We don't get cars with character or style anymore.
      Thank you for showing that there are people that can make dreams come true - their own and the little kids inside us all.

      I'm blown away that the guns actually work! I'm curious if the shots hitting the Clown Victoria are from the Batmobile or if it's from a normal gun. Seems like the car could legally only fire blanks. Two paintball guns (with a full/tri/single selector switch) would be rad too!

    As a child watching Batman reruns in the 70s I fell in love with this car and it’s been iconic ever since. To me this is THE BATMOBILE period!!!!! I’m not interested in any other iteration. The one I grew up with is the one I love and have several different scale models of it. Superb build there simply amazing. I love gadgets and can’t imagine how long all this took to fabricate and make function. I’m going to guess that the other Batmobiles Made since the TV series ended do NOT have any functioning items let along guns popping out of the doors, real flame throwers etc… I dare to say yours is the only one in the world at this point. Enjoy and treasure it!!

    • @Batcarguy
      @Batcarguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Obviously, I'm a big fan of the 1966 Batmobile. There are a number of replicas out there. But I believe mine is unique in the number and types of gadgets. I love gadgets, too!

    • @jakereal3604
      @jakereal3604 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That really is some creation you made! Are you an engineer of some type ??? My brother graduated with Electronic Engineer degree from Princeton University. It’s cool because I come up with ideas for my classic cars, tell him what I want the circuit to do and he makes it for me. I added “auto lamp” to my 1967 thunderbird. There’s a small photo cell under the dash speaker grille and when it gets dark the headlights come on. Has delay of zero sec up to 3 minutes. He also made my Super bright LED brake lamp set up for my Ebike so when I brake people see and know I’m stopping !! I wired it in myself etc. really cool work you did. I love the Clown Victoria very cleaver!!! I assume those are real bullets shooting out of there as I saw Victoria get shot up lol 👍🏼👍🏼

    • @Batcarguy
      @Batcarguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jakereal3604 Yeah, I'm a mechanical engineer. But I've worked on military aircraft for so long I was recoded to aerospace engineer. Sounds like you and your brother make a good team! Those are real bullets, though the bullet hits were done safely and edited in later. I didn't want to really hurt the Joker. 🤣🤣

    • @jakereal3604
      @jakereal3604 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow that’s something! For some reason I had a feeling you’d say Mechanical and on top of it Aviation related. When the guns popped out of the doors I immediately thought Aircraft landing gear, something about the way they deployed and also that a finished panel “fills in” the void of the cut out when the guns are deployed. You could have simply left a big hole there but you went for a nice clean install and presentation.
      As for the Bullets ……. I had a feeling that they were shot in a controlled manner and later edited into the video to make it appear it was real time! Either that OR Next guess was that there was bullet proof glass behind the drive in case a bullet went through rear window. This made my day and if I were in Ohio I’d ask if perhaps I could arrange to see this in person. That would be a dream come true to me!!!! I create and make things and do all my own mechanical and restorations on my own cars so I appreciate the work and craftsmanship that goes into these insanely complicated builds! Thanks so much for replying to my nonsense and babbling lol. Hindsight when I was a kid I wanted to be an auto mechanic but got talked out of it BUT had I realized my passion is mechanical devices and what makes them tick I would have gone into Mechanical Engineering!
      I think I would have been very successful and enjoyed it. Perhaps worked for the big Three! One can’t go back though just forward unless I had a Delorean Time machine!!! Lololol

    This is absolutely amazing would love some of thease features on my KITT REPLICA Would you be able to hint at how the guns work and smoke screen please?

    • @Batcarguy
      @Batcarguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sure. The guns are fired by a button on the steering wheel that activates solenoids that press on the triggers. I had to lower the trigger force to work with a solenoid small enough to fit. The smoke screen is achieved by squirting smoke oil into the exhaust manifolds (they must be up to operating temperature to work right). Sounds like you're making an interesting KITT replica.

    Who would rather buy a current American sports car versus the Batmobile? Even if it didn’t have the features I wish more cars had style and that manufactures would even bring back discontinued models but with present technology. Picture a company bringing back the legends.

    Did you document the build process on the car on video. I only see a few of recent videos on your channel and a few older ones including a Tumbler that you apparently built and a test fire of the turbine engine. Please we want to see more! 🙂

    • @Batcarguy
      @Batcarguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I have thorough documentation of the build, but mostly stills, not much video. I was working alone almost all of the time and found shooting video was time consuming and interrupted the build process.

  • @MichaelSTaylor
    @MichaelSTaylor ปีที่แล้ว

    :59 Well of course the Joker drives a Clown Victoria, lol.
    I left a lengthy comment appreciating your work on that other video so I won't repeat myself here. I will mention again I think it would be amazing if somehow you could arrange to showcase this incredible vehicle and its capabilities. I know I can't be the only one who would have no problem putting a few bucks into a ticket to see this in person.
    Anyway one last thing. I'll admit it initially kind of bugged me that, as wickedly cool as they are, that you included guns in your final design. Given the trauma that made Batman what he is usually excludes guns, I have to admit it didn't hit me right the first time I saw it.
    But it definitely makes an entertaining addition to your batmobile, especially as highlighted in this Joker confrontation.
    Even though my strongest memories of Batman associate him without firearms, it definitely isn't a deal-breaker. In a way it's kind of cool to think that maybe he's benefited from enough therapeutic intervention along the way to calm his trauma enough to allow the possibility of arming himself to fight the good Bat-fight. 🦇
