This music (and this video in particular) will always bring me back to January-February of the year 2023. I wrote an entire novel listening to Hollow skies and acoustic guitar version of Guts' theme. Helped a lot when I was writing introspective monologues of the main character. That book was my very own therapy to overcome PTSD and move on with my life. So I tried to be less interested in her even ignoring her so maybe I can forget her and pull her out of my mind and as a result I just looked even dumber because I couldn't concentrate at work doing this...... ugh so now I just am staying up listening to this music that suits the tone of my feelings right now, I really care for her in an honest way more than romantic she really has value and I admire everything she does so I'm getting some work done for her, the work I failed at during the day just to make up for how inefficient I was..... I really don't expect anything out of this I just want her day to be a little less stressful than it was today with me being such a dumbass.......... Am in the same place as you, but my advice for you is do not destroy your life or yourself loving a person who won't love you back, i destroyed myself and 4 years of my life doing just that and it's not worth it. Focus on other things that you love, it's a slow process but time will heal my friend. There are just some humans that won't love you back no matter how hard you try and sacrifice for them, they will forget and move on from you even of you sacrifice your very world for them, it's not worth it.

I'm just going to leave it there, but we're still talking. Surprisingly. She was just brave enough to tell me she saw I was being stupid. And I'm still saying stupid shit, so I'm just also listening to this to reflect.

Idk what it is about hollow skies, maybe its my attachment to ff7 in general, but it makes me feel almost sick in the way it feels when you lose somebody. The only other song that did that to me was “From the Edge of Despair” off the original game. Both just feel gut-wrenchingly depressing, even if the songs are good
