I generally don't care for romance in fictional works of art, but Tifa is characterized in such a brilliant and relatable fashion. Not to mention if you give her the Double Cut materia she is OP. A great mix of a good character story wise, and a good character in terms of gameplay.
No, I won't, cos I don't get to. But seeing almost any of her official art post-polygon days + her in action Remake onward, aw yea... she's a keeper, The Keeper. Cloud ain't goin anywhere.
I legitimately can't think of a better character (subjectively) in any video game or fictional work: Wonderfully relatable, kind, selfless, gentle, with everyone she loves in her thoughts at all times. A real true blue ride-or-die, who loves and fights with equal fierceness. In terms of gameplay, easily the most fun to play as in the entire group (again, subjectively) - incredibly fluid movements, easy to understand combo strings, and every hit just feels impactful in the most satisfying way. I can't understand any hate or dislike for her (but then again, I am very biased). She is just a beautiful character - a beautiful PERSON, and I can't think of someone I'd rather be real so I can tell her how much she matters to so many. She could use the confidence boost.
Aerith is better. FFVII's story quite literally hinges on Tifa being unwilling to share with Cloud that his past is a fantasy. There are several moments in the story (but particularly in Kalm and then later after the party stays the night in lower Junon) when Tifa had every opportunity to reveal to Cloud the truth. She doesn't. And the result of that is a) Aerith dies, and b) the planet is nearly destroyed. I don't hate Tifa. And I get that vulnerabilities and flaws are important for all good characters. But Tifa is written in such a way that her biggest flaw is the lynchpin on which Jenova/Sephiroth's plans turn. And... I don't want that kind of woman around me.
@@princessofthecape2078 That is a very interesting take. I have never thought of pinning Aerith's demise back to Tifa and her inability to communicate to Cloud and the rest of the party about what the hell is going on. But considering how it eventually culminated in Cloud losing control which then led to Aerith deciding to take it upon herself to do something she believed only she can do which then led to her demise, it makes sense. A very interesting take indeed. Yet somehow, I don't find myself disagreeing with it.
You know how some things in life gives you shivers, men this song really does it you also arrith theme, and the nezuko theme for me from demon slayer, this songs just shakes my soul to the core

This is the music you hear when you get to Heaven.
7th Heaven
Yessss
Admit it. If you walked into a bar in your town and saw Tifa as the bartender, you’d finally understand why Cloud is so crazy for her lol
I don’t need to go to a bar in town to understand why cloud is crazy for her

@@princessofthecape2078Funny how every Aerith I've seen is unhinged.

Man, I love Tifa so much. She's such a kind, down-to-earth gal. 😊
I can't help but hear a part of Eyes On Me from FFVIII in the first 10 seconds ... "You would always be there in the corner"
That's spot on. Every time I listen to the theme of Tifa, I automatically sing along to this line. It's almost identical to the theme song of FF8...
Glad I’m not the only one who’s always thought this.
Same!
and the fact the following lyrics are "....On this tiny little bar". eventhough the song was talking about a different bar, but here, it sort of fits
nah he loves aerith but nice try
Same here iam excited for final fantasy rebirth
I'm so excited for final fantsy 7 rebirth
How did you end up liking it then?
Thank you for this :)
