Loaded Potato Soup

16oz frozen southern hashbrowns
16oz heavy whipping cream
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup frozen seasoning blend veg
4 cups water w/ 2 heaping spoons chicken bouillon
Or 4 cups chicken broth
Bacon pieces
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
Salt n pepper to taste
Heaping spoon of minced garlic
Paprika to taste
Beef Stew
_________
Thinly diced beef of some sort
-flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt n pepper
Oil for browning ⬆️
1 Cup finely diced carrots
Bag of onion pearls
6 cups Mini red potatoes
6 cups water
2 heaping spoons of minced garlic
Packet beefy onion soup mix
1TBS balsamic vinegar
2TBS Worcestershire sauce
Garlic powder to taste
1tbs Italian seasoning
Paprika to taste
Pepper to taste
Taco Soup

1lb hamburger meat
2 cans black beans
2 cans kidney beans
1 can rotel
1 can green chilis
1 packet taco
Seasoning
8 ounces tomatoes sauce
1 can drained corn
Garlic and easy onion
Chicken & Rice
______________
Chicken breast (however much you want)
4 cups chicken broth
4 cups water
Celery, onions, carrots diced
Bay leaf
Garlic powder
Italian seasoning
Salt n pepper
1 cup wild rice

OMG! It's funny to me I absolutely love tomato based veggie beef soup, one of my fav comfort foods but I love almost any soup but chowders and fish it's ok we love what we love❤❤❤❤
I never drain my beans when I make chili but I know others do. Great videos Brooke.
Some people have difficulty digesting the lectins in beans. Canned beans have less than dry/soak beans in and of themselves but the lectins are leeched into the liquid during the canning process so rinsing canned beans is necessary to remove the lectins that cause digestive issues which include bloating, indigestion, gas, cramps, nausea etc.

And a lasagna soup with so much mozzarella seemed like they added some tomato chunks for that “pop” of Brooke color.

I tell you we the same on the veggie soup we had it a lot growing up and I would never eat it, now that I am older I will eat it with potatoes and like ground beef in it but I am not crazy about it and I am southern and you know our southern parents swear by that lol but I love soups that are creamy based like potato, broccoli and cheese or enchilada chicken cheese ❤ those you showed looked delicious! ❤ great video !

I made from scratch chicken a d noodle soup with homemade noodles. You can cook all those in crockpot also.

I make my veggie soup with beef stock. No tomatoes. To much acid in tomatoes

Love your videos Brooke. You're so honest about everything, its refreshing. I live in Glasgow, Scotland and we have a totally different take on soups. We have traditional soups that I make all the time during our cold winters. Although I love the thought of your soups, some of them seem alien to me like Taco Soup. I make Beef stew but its not a soup. Thank you for sharing and showing us that there are different types and tastes of soup. xx

About not draining canned beans; the liquid is starchy too so it helps thicken the soup. A dish we had lots as a family was tuna noodle casserole. I cannot eat it but I'll make it for my husband who loves it! Soups are also a great way to use up leftovers. Love your vids! 😊

I have only been watching You since a year ago in The Spring. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND YOU! Your Family is AWESOME. Your Husband and You remind Me of a Young My Husband and Me. I came up with lots of what I call My concoctions! We had 2 Little Boys. There was just the 4 of Us so I got creative for food dishes. None were exactly like Your’s but some are similar. My Oldest Son’s Birthday was yesterday. He was 42. I was a teenage Mom so I am only 58. ONLY! I am sure that sounds old to You. Your Boys are All so polite and Handsome. Your Little Guy just kills Me when He faints. What a Cutie Pie and has His Own Awesome response to food that He loves.

My hubby is also not a fan of tomato based veggie soups. I wanted to share one of our go-to soups when life is busy!
Broccoli Cheese Soup
16oz bag frozen broccoli
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups half and half
2 can cream of potato soup
1 handful of shredded carrots
1 cup diced Velveeta
*Cook broccoli and chicken broth ~8 mins.
Add half & half, cream of potato soup and carrots.
Heat till warm, add cheese till melted and enjoy!

My husband's mom wasn't the family cook either. Her thing was giant casseroles that they'd eat from for days. He never complains about anything I cook but I learned early on that tuna casserole wouldn't be eaten under any circumstances lol

We had the potato soup for supper tonight. It was delicious. In fact my hubby is still eating! I made mine in my Instant Pot. Cooked on high pressure for 4 minutes, immediate release, then switched to saute to finish it off. I added the sour cream, heavy cream, and cheese last because I wasn't sure how the dairy products would act under pressure. Also, I added the put in the bacon pieces with the potatoes, etc., so they flavor the soup more.

When my mama made veggie soup she put everything but a shoe in it😂😂 I know she did it because we just didn’t have allot. She put macaroni in it and I just hated it!!! I love homemade veggie beef soup but it definitely don’t have slimy macaroni in it!! My mama would freeze it too, if there was any left. Then when it was thawed out the potatoes would be just gross!!! Bless my sweet little Mama’s heart!!! She did the best she could with what she had❤❤❤❤

I love soup especially homemade tomato soup. I am hooked on your sister’s tater mater soup. I have made it several times. I make a huge pot of soup every week. Right now I have a 1/2 gallon batch of tomato soup in fridge but have multiple containers of tomato soup in freezer same as I have a huge batch of chili in fridge and freezer. My neighbor gave me chicken veggie soup last night so it’s in freezer. I love potato soup and loaded potato soup. I have to have cornbread or crackers. With chili I need corn chips cheese and sour cream. In the winter I keep soup I have a coffee cup I drink soup out of. I love using tomato bouillon and frozen peppers and onions (thanks for the awesome tips)

I have said this numerous times but I guess it bears reiterating. The comments on the amount of food Brooke feeds her family will get you no where but your comments will be deleted. I can assure you her family is very well fed. I know because I’m her aunt, we talk everyday and live less than a half mile from each other. They aren’t going hungry . Some people just don’t fell the need to eat very large meals and that’s their right. Just because they don’t eat like you doesn’t mean it’s wrong or they are underfed. So please don’t waste your time or mine.

I just love your simple recipes! I made your fajitas in the crock pot, I had so much left I froze it then used it to make quesadillas, which were amazing and turned the rest into a Mexican chicken pot pie. Jury is still out on how that will taste but I don’t think it could be bad baking it tomorrow so we will see.

My mom always drained and rinsed the beans because of the preservatives and additives in the can of beans... she felt they were bad for you... so I usually use broth when I make any soup using beans.
Fun fact ... Bean juice is called aquafaba
I use garbanzo bean juice as an egg substitute for homemade mayonnaise ,l don't like eggs and l dont want a raw egg in my mayo.
First soup is okay use milk and can condense milk dollar tree instead of heavy whipping cream.
Maybe evaporated milk?
