Gorilla tape eh.... using my cousins sticky bits. I'm thinking of going for a keyless fuel cap replacement as mine is also ruined. Haha mine was the same when I mixed it, utter poison smell off it :D
If you havent done it yet.....careful with the fuel cap when you use the sealant...I kinda glued mine shut :D
There really isn't is there, I thought the rubber inner tube was smart but needed more then just your cousins sticky bits, however, your cousins sticky bits worked well for the sealant. Keyless fuel cap sounds class. My fuel cap did get sticky after the I added the sealant but it wasn't to bad.

Yeah hopefully it works out :) mine was well and stuck, I got it free but it doesn't close fully now, I think it was a bit goosed anyway :)

Yeah, it sucks, it's nasty but I think it's worth the cost of a new tank, if it works...
