Red Dead Redemption 2’s story missions provided a fantastic exploration of life in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries-and this exploration is only continuing through the game’s extensive (and interesting) stranger missions. And with a few more strangers left to meet, there’s even more historical connections to make.

Thanks so much for joining me throughout these videos!
I'm curious to hear your thoughts about the format of this series-would you like to see more historical games broken down line-by-line? If so, which ones?
This series was beyond fantastic. You’ve done such justice this franchise.
This is one of the best series on TH-cam.
the historical analogies of Disco Elysium would be a great series.
What about games like Call of Duty: WW2? It would be interesting to see how historically accurate that game is!
The format is, in my opinion, amazing. I do think this would fit any game that takes a historical setting.
in the Art Gallery you can also find a photo of Arthur from the first interaction with Albert Mason.
Mason's entire set of photos are displayed, but I'm pretty sure they only show up if you've finished his quest line by then.
This series makes me feel so much less alone as an "I wonder where that comes from?" rabbit hole hyperfixater. Thank you for your service.
I'm so glad you didn't end this series yet!
I suppose what’s left is Rdr1 and Rdr2 online with its history of events and references ?
Online probably has much less to deep dive but some missions there did have call backs to historic events such as Ned Kelly and his metal armour
He could do another series on Red Dead Revolver and Gun, 2 lesser known westerns by Rockstar.
@user-bm6xz6pq5z Gun was made by Neversoft and produced by Activision, no Rockstar involvement
Do this same series for the first Red Dead Redemption!
I second this.
Yes please that would be awesome!
Yesss
I’ve been saying this for like a year
I third this
When Real Pixels uploads a 25 minute video, you know shit’s aboutta be fire🔥
So true :)
I’m literally shitting 🔥🔥🔥
i’m farting 🔥🔥🔥
The effort you pour into these videos does not go unnoticed my friend, thank you for the absolutely quality content as always, you never disappoint, hell not even slightly.
The reberb on “TAHITI?”
I've literally found your channel 2 days ago, just finished the end of the playlist and a new vid is uploaded, sweet.
Love your videos man, scratches my history nerd and gaming nerd itches simultaneously
Literally found? Can you explain how that makes sense please?
@@L_Trainit means he discovered the channel 2 days ago
@@L_Train yeah sure I meant that I found it 2 days ago. Check the dictionary, literally doesn't always literally mean it's original meaning anymore. Sorry if my use upset you bruv
@@sgufanboy I wouldn't sweat it. Language evolves, just like always has, and just like all the times words meanings have shifted over time, some folks just can't stand seeing it happen.
First thing on my feed and I punched the air with excitement. Goddamn I love this series, dude.
Don't need to watch to know that this will be a straight banger. One of the few TH-camrs whose videos I save until I'm relaxed enough to really savor
This is undoubtedly the best series on TH-cam. Thank you.
Never stop this series!
I would literally pay you if I could to cover Red Dead Revolver's story and lore in a historical context.
patreon.com/RealPixels 👀
In all seriousness, it's definitely something on my mind! This series has so much historical goodness, it's difficult to decide where to go next.
I second that one.
RP, Eyezayar, and that girl with the librarian glasses are carrying this fandom
A picture of me next to Eyezayar and Pinky is the definition of the meme "Bro thinks he's on the team 😭😭" but that's very high praise, thank you!
@@RealPixelsdamn, I'd never even considered it until seeing this, but you and pinky on a collab could drop the best red dead video on the whole damn site.
LA NOIRE would be a fun series! Great videos brother, hope to see more like this. Did i mention LA NORE already?
Yes! L.A. Noir getting the RP treatment would be sick!
He did some la noire video
@@arthurmorgan2906 not like rd2
@@MylesLong82 yeah that's right
This series has been nothing short of fantastic. I love the format of these videos, and you do an amazing job of making it engaging. You never fail to impress me with your knowledge and research. Thanks for giving us this amazing series!
Another banger. Keep smashing em out buddy and we'll all keep watchin
Chronologically, you've got to do RDR1, yeah? ;)
This has been a fantastic series, I hope you do many more!
The Ezio Assassin's Creed games in particular might be worth exploring, as they cover a range of Mediterranean culture from Italy to Constantinople, and feature numerous historical figures, locations and events.
And as a one-off classic, how about Oregon Trail? I've always wanted to know more about bullets, river crossings, and death by dysentery!
This series is really good, and has taught me a lot about history...however, it has ALSO taught me that Dutch did a very good job teaching Arthur!
Again such an amazing work ! thank you
I just got trigger finger from my awful dishwashing job, and I needed inspiration to push myself through the pain to keep writing and creating.
Thankfully, your videos on rdr2 are just the fuel to get my history buff brain reactivate and push through. What was gonna be a boring, mopey day is now a day of creativity and learning. Thanks a bunch Real Pixels.
Probably about as accurate as science was in 1899, I'd imagine
It would be funny if they "confirmed" an old ridiculous medical theory from that time in game, like when the hot air baloon pilot talks about "vapors"
It would've been funny if they had some way of showing the actual science that we know now!
Love your content bro keep it up ❤
Great video as always!
Great episode. All the favorites.
I think the Totalisaurus is based on the fact that Cope and Marsh were rushing and carelessly putting fossil displays together, example being the heads would end up in the tails thinking it was the neck.
You are one of the few whose videos I like before I watch. I just know this video will be great.
you are my favorite red dead youtuber please keep this videos up they are so good and i would love to see you also cover other games
So sad to see this journey come to an end! These videos are so well crafted and spectacular in their detail! Truly incredible work! Can't wait to see what other games you tackle next!
Arthur is giddy with Tahiti
I love these videos, while there’s still much to talk about in the Red Dead franchise, I’d love to see you dive into Assassin’s Creed in the future.
Thank you so much for all the hard work, the most enjoyable series on youtube!
These videos are so good, I just hope you enjoy making the videos and looking into history as well as red dead 2 itself and aren’t making them because you feel you’re forced to. Your insights could be great in many different fields im sure.
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS!!!
Straight to the point, incredibly informative and extremely interesting, all on my favorite game.
yo mate, you should do the Bioshock trilogy.
Love your videos man. I hope to see more of these.
I really hope you cover Disco Elysium at some point in the future, it has such a deep reservoir of historical connections to our own world in ways you don't often see presented.
Seconded. Real History of Disco Elysium would be a killer video. Absolutely adore that game.
my favourite game of all time!! i would love to see it on this channel
Babe wake up, new Real Pixels RDR2 vid just dropped
Hey Pixel, have you considered doing a video on the fashions of the time? You've already mentioned the belts but I'd love to see the outfits in-game analysed.
And how the hell does Arthur and John put so much crap in their bags!
That is some fascinating drip on Arthur
Your part of the 3 exclusieve channels that when they upload I'm there under 20 minutes
If anybody is interested in the electric chair and other execution methods in America I suggest looking up Jacob Geller’s video on the topic. He also made a great video partially about RDR2 called “Artificial Loneliness”
This channel is fantastic as an avid history lover and lover of these games. Would be very interesting to see something similar for the Mafia series,
Thank you for this incredible series & all the research you've put into it. RDR & RDR2 are some of my favourite games BECAUSE of their close attention to historic detail (not always, but at least 90% lol). it was a pleasure to be able to experience the time in the game but also a pleasure to see someone notice the things i did & put them into video form with other interesting tidbits! Like I knew Dragic was meant to be a dopple for Tesla but I had no idea about Tesla's familial name!
Again, great job & i look forward to other videos from you!
Would be really cool if you did a rdr2 play through. I know your a video essay channel but a lot of play throughs don’t explore all of the small details that you find in your videos. Could even have it as a commentated-over series as opposed to live commentary
This video was fantastic
Another banger from @RealPixels
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best game I've ever played. I doubt that I will experience this kick again from another game. I was a fan of westerns ever since I was a kid, so it was a perfect match. And still, with your videos, you manage to make my enjoyment of RDR2 even bigger! I tip my Nevada hat to you, sir!
I love these videos
Finally. Peak RealPixel content!
Bro, these videos are my favourite things in the world. As somebody who loves History and RDR2 this is my kind of shit.
I love this series
Off the top of my head: The accuracy of the railroads, the coming development of antibiotics and how deadly TB was, the invention of the telephone and motorcar are also covered in the game
What an exceptional series this has been.
It's so cool that even when the game is inaccurate, you provide reasons why that may be and the real history in its place. Thank you for these videos and for your hard research!
My day was just made whole!
We are so back!!!
Keep this series going absolutely love these.
That line about going to the south pole is even funnier knowing it hasn't been done yet looool
One thing about leadership is don’t make empty threats or punishments. If you do then those you are leading or looking over will not take you seriously or will rebel.
I want you to do this with major locations too like jails, banks sisika prison etc
As an American, i thought "hottentot" was the name of a noble family in germany or something, not a slur
No lie I was doing the Margo side mission and the cutscene where he yells “HE LIVES!” Played at exactly the same time as each other
Im so excited 😫
Glad to see that this format will continue into other games. You could always milk that rooten tooten cowboy shooten money for all it's worth and do RDR1. As a few other have suggested LA Noir would also be fantastic. The Mafia series would also be a good place to go.
Please do the same for the first Red Dead.
14:00 *TAHITI?*
Marko Dragic is a joke name- Marko Dragic, Darko Magic.
I think something to note is that the early paleontologists were not hacks, they just didn't have as many specimens as been discovered today. Great video though!
About time
And what of Albert Mason, wildlife photographer?
Have you covered Sister Calderon and Brother Dorkins?
YESSS ITS REAL PIXEL
Arthur meet a lot of strange people
perfect video to boost my mood after watching naruto episode 133
Would you do a video on one of the Assassin's Creed games?
Oh... this is gonna be good 👍
Time to get the popcorn for more RDR2.
I really enjoyed your video and hope that you'll do the same for the mafia games.
Imagine doing this for GTA 5 lmao "LifeInvader is likely based on the social media platform Facebook, which rose to popularity sometime in the late 2000s to early-2010s, around the same time as the game takes place. Jay Norris seems to be an amalgamation of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg, and Apple founder Steve Jobs. Facebook also had controversy around data-sharing"
How do you get the Hat from the Thumbnail?
It's the reward for Algernon's mission, "Duchesses and Other Animals"! Possibly the most exhausting side mission in the whole game.
Could someone tell me, the soundtrack used at the end?
Not part of any official soundtrack release, but it's called "Eagle Soar"!
Thank you very much.
Keep doing what you are doing, it's amazing!!
I say we bring back the word "doodle" as a slur.
I’ve completed the game three times yet still got a spoiler on this video, there is so much content I miss some of it
Should do ghost of Tsushima, with shogun out now, i think it would be successful
Lmao do me a favour and scroll through his older videos
How historically accurate is drinking/alcohol next
Let’s gooooo 🔥
Also could be called. History of the biggest pain in the ass missions in the game
Tahiti!?!?
Whats the song at the end?
It's called "Eagle Soar"! I don't think it was included in the single-player but it's so good, I had to use it.
Wait what. Im dutch, i didnt know that Hottentot means that.
whats the song at the start i forgor
It's the background music from "A Bright Bouncing Boy"! I think there's a version on TH-cam under the title "059 A Bright Bouncing Boy 5".
@RealPixels yeah that one I remember hearing it when I did it thanks, love ur series btw very interesting and informative I've watched them all
When is betram??
Bertram has been done in a video, don't remember which one though
Shoutout to czechia for inventing pink porcelain 😅
I just love how Arthur says "Yeahhh, it's a real problem" so sarcastically after Algernon says about Italy being 'overrun' with Americans 😂
the hutsunUWU???
delete this
Please.
Releasing a red dead video the same day Nakey Jakey releases a red dead video? Idk what you were thinking rockstar fanboy, but someone has to take an L, and you can’t spell yoga ball without 2 L’s.
He’s never gonna do RDR1 man 😂😂😢😢
