    Dude the Kona lava dome is sick! My first GF had a lava dome and I myself have a few old classic Kona's! If you look the front wheel has twisted spokes which is really rare to see and is an advanced wheel building technique very cool!

    I had an SR500 and I loved it! I despatched on it in the mid 80's. I monoshocked it by using an LC350 swinging arm and used the end of the oil in frame tube for the top shock mount. Had to move the battery cage over a bit but that was it. Looked the dogs bollocks and handled better too. It was fairly unique at the time! Thanks for bringing back the memory! :o)

    seeing your first bike makes me happy as i had planned to do that with my first bike but it was stolen last easter i absolutely loved it it was a great hard tail

    You've got space for another shelf above the toolbox ;) Put a bunch of hooks and some magnets under it and you can put away a bunch of cassettes and that shock pump.

    Nice! Used to roadrace against track-modified SR500's back in the '80's. I bought a new RD400 as my first street wheels in '78 at 16yrs. It was only $1189 and I got a loan with $300 down pmt. My '85 GPz550 was only $2799 new. Now, that will buy a decent bicycle.

    you're my favorite pro-rider Neil.
    I also love motorcycles I grew up working on those 80s Japanese bikes.
    I hate anything to do with the transmissions on those... granted I only ever worked on transmissions on dirt bike. still similar where the cases are sealed
