Dante is 100% intentionally written the way he is, he’s meant to be a weak fool consumed by his own ego, so far gone in his delusions of grandeur. Being a naturally week, fool consumed by his ego , he is easy to manipulate and easy to beat, but that was all planned by his eldest brother. Dante is definitely the weakest of the dark triad, but I still enjoyed seeing him in the manga

His only ability pre-contract was regeneration so he is nothing without Gravity/Devil Amps. Btw how the hell did he beat so many people in his backstory? He only creates swords with gravity magic so what was he dominating ops with?

Magna is honestly the true image of what every shounen mc tries to be “the character with no talent and all effort”. Magna is a true king among men. I remember reading this back when it came out and getting so hyped by this beat down.

Dante vs Magna is what would've happen if Rock Lee went 8 gates against Madrara, the hype that stands above all other hype moments. Magna getting a powerup not from a flashback or anime bs, but by putting in the effort to learn in a way that he could effective learn.

Dante vs Magna is incredible and a moment we rarely ever see for shonens. Magna takes down the big bad of the arc and it makes you wonder how things would go in other series. Like Naruto for example.. Madaras biggest weakness was Taijutsu, so what if guy/rock lee combo were able to take him down etc. Stuff like that.

Unlike the other pure evil characters that liked to flex on others, like Frieza or Sukuna, Dante just felt like a spoiled brat abusing devil daddy’s credit card to do whatever the f*ck he wants up until he gets jumped and humbled by homeland security.😂

Magna vs Dante is the perfect example why equalized stats are important to show skill. Because Dante may have technically been one of the strongest, he sure as hell wasn't skilled... Like at all.

Magna vs Dante is such a great fight because both have weak magic but magna found a way to equal the odds through months of hard work while dante is just using daddy Lucifero’s magic and to have a side character beat one of the main villains of an arc through hard work show the main theme of the manga is why it’s my favorite fight

Magna vs dante showcases magnas style at its peak. Compare magna vs other flame magic users like fuegoleon or meroleona they overwhelm their opponents with their flame magic with their own personal styles. Magna doesnt have nearly the amount of mahic as them hell he probably has the least amount of magic amongst magic knights next to asta so his style has always been getting the most bang for his buck and using a spell that gets more mana while reducing your opponents is amazing strategically. It also just fits in the difference of characters they are. Dante was given this amazing devil ability because of his talents but never trained it hell i think his siblings could take him since they seemed to actually try with their magic. But magna being the guy who always trained but kept falling behind regardless finding his way to catch up was beautiful

Don’t really see him as a fraud when he wasn’t even the main antagonist of the series, he was the pawn of the main antagonists pawn. Can’t really be a fraud if you don’t even know that your not even acting out your own plans and desires
