Actually Tabata sensei supervised the film, and it is actually canon to the Black Clover story-line! Apparently he wanted to include this in the manga, but decided against it but it later was used as the film we have today. Canonically, it takes place between Vol.23 and Vol.24 - the end of the Elf Saga, and the beginning of the Spade Saga, during the 6 months time skip. iirc those who went to see the first screenings of the film got Vol.23.5 which contains the backstories for the 4 previous WKs.

Yup, it even shows things like Vanessa making Asta's new and improved headband, and newer techniques like Death Thrust aren't used at all in the film, and there's nothing at all really that contradicts things in the anime or manga anyway. I really like how they handled it, putting it in the time skip before asta first goes to the spade kingdom, during that period where he was still getting buff. One of my favorite things was that Conrad's appearance in the movie was actually written in well and again, poses no contradictions in the story that I'm aware of at least.
The film was still honestly amazing and a part of my plan.

@@el_th0r546It does fit but with some minor plot holes. As Asta has his demon arm which happens in the Dante fight meaning both William and Yami should be captured. But it actually fits rather well besides that minor thing. And also that Nacht is shown in the film giving power. So there are some contradictions but very minor.
The movie is canon. The author literally stated it took place in the timeskip that we didn't see. It even has its own volume (23.5) and its own novel

yes but no. Yūki Tabata literally said: "its a "why didnt you do this in the manga" story.
So in a way its non-canon to the manga while being canon to the universe. So tbh at most i'd say its more along the lines of semi-canon. its possible that both the events might be true but the story may be exaggerated for the movies sake.
Tabata was giving out 23.5 volume at the theaters in Japan as a token of appreciation to his fan base. He stated that the plot is meant to fit into the manga canon. Not that it is canon, he wanted continuity to hold true but its still a anime original. A google search of his comments on it is all it takes to inform yourself.

I usually hate power scalers because they either dramatically overly exaggerate someone's powers and abilities or they lack the understanding of the different tiers for it. For black clover it's really easy to give high ranking mostly because of Dorothy lol. She is just casually summoning moons and her dream dimension which was stated to be infinite by Luck and somewhat reafirmed by elf possesing Dorothy at the time, got destroyed by Yami's dimension slash. Also Salamander's feats from the databook make it easier to give very high scaling.

Lucifero was only at 50% of his maximum power when he manifested his proper body so if he 100% manifested nothing would've been able to beat him it's part of the reason Lucius is insanely powerful bcause he stole the magical power of 100% Lucifero along with all the other power he gained from the other high level demons he absorbed lol

Another fun fact about anti magic, it seems to have the ability to memic the properties of magic. Many of asta's abilities, are all simply anti sword magic, or an anti magic version of Licht's spells. Particularly everything Asta does with the demon dweller sword, is something Licht can do with it.
Well...for the dweller sword, it's mostly because it's how the sword "works" it can share the power or abilities of its holder with the ones who are bounded with him, explaining why Licht could use the reincarned elf's magic, and why Asta was able to share the anti-magic properties
But you're right, Asta tried mimicking others magic with his own magic (well at least when he could, like the spirit of zephyr and Licht's sword magic inspired him the Black Divider, or the mana skin becoming an anti-mana skin), because even if it negates magic, it seems to work mostly like a regular magic, a magic that negate other magic, and requires physical strength and not mana
When Asta said "My Magic is not giving up" that's when I knew Black clover is my favorite anime!!!
The movie's time frame is between vol 23 and 24 after training at the heart kingdom and before the spade war
This may be a stretch but you could probably calc asta's attack power higher since the black clover world, due to being full of mana, has evolved to be somewhat magic resistant.
So the power to destroy a continent in their world using mana, may be significantly higher than it would be in our manaless world.
Same case in series like Solo leveling and Bleach environmental damage is dependent if the world have natural resistance in which a captain class shinigami is threat to the world of the living but in in the soul society and Heuco Mundo which is made up reishi they never have worry too much about collateral damages and in Solo leveling the Rulers need to slowly imbue the human world with mana so it can survive the upcoming battle otherwise the planet would be completely destroyed. I just noticed in at of cross battles they never take this into consideration.
To be honest said arguments could be made for a lot of verses that uses a common energy for their overall abilities the world might have developed a sort of resistance to the energy overtime cus its not always falling apart when said kind of power is being used

Lucífero actually killed them multiple times. So Lucífero is actually planet level or large continental level and that was only 50% of his power too

And if you read the background of the manga there’s a clock that doesn’t change time through the entire fight. And even Licifero talks about how he doesn’t care how many times they come back he will keep taking them down. And we know that ultimately Lucius wanted Lucifero’s heart to complete his master plan. And even the devil that’s spectating the whole time only shows up to collect his heart

Correction, arcane stage doesn't mean you're the strongest tier. Saint stage is the highest tier. Arcane stage means you have unique magic. Anti magic, Vanessa's cat, Grey's ability to change matter. Im sure we call can agree that Grey isn't in the strongest tier but she's arcane

If we assume that Demon Licht was going to wipe humanity with his Energy, and Demon Licht understood that he gets outscaled by Zagred, then Zagred is continental to Multi-continental, as he'd need to wipe all life on the planet solo. Asta kills him before he gets Berserker Asta. That means that Black Asta should insta-kill Lucifero, despite Lucifero being the strongest Devil in Hell. It makes more sense that Lucifero is Planetary, since his presence transcended all power in the verse until that point. He was stomping amped Captains, yet still lose to TDU Asta.
Between Salamander's Ocean Vaporisation feat being calced at 80% of moon level (so high-end multi-cont) and the energy of Demon Licht *walking* being put in multi-continental ranges as well (combined with the fact that Reve was able to make a fake Dorothy who was casually creating moon-sized objects alongside an actual moon), you can pretty easily get Zagred to planetary. And that's if you don't use Reve creating and infinite sized realm for High-Uni part 1 BC (which gets even more solid in part 2 and with the movie).
Technically Lucius has 6 different magical attributes, seven if you wanna include beelzebub’s
Soul, time, Gravity, (Blood, Body, Bone,) which he took from his siblings to make his army.
Also I don't think he's a devil, he's the original inhabitor of that body. If anything Julius might be the real devil, (astaroth) that Lucia's brainwashed using soul magic to act as another persona.
Or they could just be 2 souls inhabiting 1 body like William and Patri. They could both just be humans in 1 body

asta already is continental when he first transformed into his black form in the witch arc stated in the hand book improved by tabata that the salamander was capable to vaporize an entire ocean and asta defeated the salamander being stated to be the strongest it has been to that point.

I don't know where you saw the fact that the movie was non Canon. All the information I've seen says that it is Canon, tabata said this was a story he wanted to do in the manga but couldn't and there is a light novel adaptation for this movie, and all the light novels are canon

Slight correction (I’m only four minutes in, but whatever): Arcane Stage mages aren’t necessarily above the Zero Stage. Possessing Arcane magic just means you are able to effectively hurt devils, and are more so a category unto themselves, disconnected from the regular system. At least that’s how I remember it.
You're right, there's a difference, Arcane isn't about power, but uniqueness, because it's impossible to scale these type of power accurately otherwise, for example, Gret's magic isn't above 0 stage, but because of its uniqueness, it was stated to be arcane
Nick is holding back even. He says Naliths attack was Country level while being calced at Low Moon level. Plus Lucifero had 3 planetary statements saying ge could destroy rhe world/planet. This same Lucifero gets his full power absorbed by base lucius and Asta in Partial DU pre-training is relative to that. Asta is cracked😅

Or the fact that Dorothy can create an infinite sized realm, Yami can destroy said infinite sized realm, Edward can reduce the temperature of his surroundings to Absolute 0 (which requires infinite work), Princia is stated to be able to create an infinite number of soldiers, and Dante creates a singularity. Or the fact that Hell is confirmed to be a separate timespace from the material world (arguably, each layer of hell is a separate timespace considering the diagram we see of Hell in Yami vs Dante is taken directly from an interpretation of Hell in irl Jewish Demonology that has each layer of Hell as a separate timespace), with Lucifero fusing with the Qliphoth tree that connects each layer of hell to the material world, making the Qliphoth (and the Lucifero that fused with it) 4D (Uni+ in Lucifero's case bc it doesn't add an actual extra spacial dimension to his body but still).

It's based on the arc that light is bent by the sun and how much force is exerted by the sun's gravity, and then calcing the difference between the Sun's arc and the arc that Dante causes each of Gauche's beams to bend, and then multiplying the force of the sun's gravity bending light by the difference between it and Dante's angle to get the AP. Tho if you want an easier scale to explain (and one that doesn't require me to send any links and potentially get banned from any comments sections):
Dorothy is able to create Glamour World, which is an infinite sized realm (Luck states that it's infinite, Magna replies that "that's impossible" to which Reve responds that "In Glamour World, the impossible is possible"). Later in the Anime Cannon Captains Battle (which is still cannon to the Manga btw) Yami is able to destroy Glamour World with Dimension Slash Equinox, meaning both he and Dorothy are High Universal (sidenote, to destroy an infinite realm, DSE would have had to move at infinite speed, and Dorothy dodges it, so she and anyone who scales to her would have infinite speed). We also see that Edward can reduce his surroundings to Absolute 0 (which requires infinite work), Princia is stated to be able to make infinite soldiers in the Light Novel for the movie (Volume 23.5), and Dante creates a Black Hole (which requires infinite pressure). Dante also has 3 seperate Infinite Mana statements, so... Yeah: High Uni Black Clover XD And that's not even getting into Zennon creating Hyperspace or Lucifero fusing with the Qliphoth (a 4D construct), OR the Paladins moving in Yuno's Neverland (that stops time) and Conrad moving in an Astaroth-amped Julius' time-orbs which stop time inside AND nullify power (aka Inaccessible speed).

@@laimai6103 First of all, Dange litterally says that Yami is more powerful than he is and that if it weren't for his immortality he'd have died numerous times in that fight. Second, the captains are being weakened bc they're having their magic drained by the imperial sword. Third, you can scale Conrad above 80% Dante: One strike from Devil Arm Black Asta was able to dispell Dante's Body Magic and take him out simultaneously - meanwhile a 24 year old Julius matched the Spade Demon that attacked Clover, which was then matched by a stronger Black Asta than the one that fought Dante (who was also using Black Divider, so he's also amped more). Meanwhile in the movie, a 32 year old Julius amping himself with Astaroth's power states outright that Conrad is more powerful than he is. Considering the other WK's are relative to Conrad as well, Nozel being that strong is still consistent. (Plus the movie litterally takes place like, a couple days before the Dark Triad attack Cloved, so y'know.)

The movie while great there is a huge inconseption that being people thinkining the movie is non-canon but the movie is *Indeed* canon as it takes place 3 months into the 6 month time-skip
Since Dorothy alone was able to create an infinite space with stars literally
And was backed up even further when she opened a rift in this same infinite plane that contained another universe in it
And she goes ahead to recreate this infinite dimension multiple times as it got destroyed by people stronger than her
Julius at base was able to wrap pocket dimensions that was supposed to trap him
And this even goes further
When manifesting lucifero was able to fuse himself with the world tree to holding multiple dimensions in it and asta was able to use infinite slash to separate him from the tree and destroyed the tree in the process
Lucius plan is to fuse the world with the after life and the under world once his transformation is complete which literally puts him at low multiversal (low balled)
Yuno on the other other hand was powerful enough to beat Lucius (clone) who scales higher than 100% Lucifero which puts him a low (universal )
Each paladin were stated to be relatively stronger than 100% lucifero
Asta was able to beat two of them with trying which relatively scales him at base to ( low universe) at base literally
With infinite speed on par with never land I don't know where all this low ball is coming from but asta is definitely onshoting natsu
Which his time hax was literally based on emotional amp
And it's literally irrelevant in a versus battle and
The speed and power and power scaling in black clover is broken

Really cool video, i would like to say though that you can get asta much higher because captains like Dorothy can create moons in her dream universe (stated what she makes is the real thing) but even disregarding that .. the salamander from the witch forest arc was stated to be able to dry a ocean with a swipe of it's claws in a author approved guidebook. Which was calculated between multi continental or small moon level!
There's alot more higher scaling for black clover but to keep things safe rn I'd say asta is at large planetary levels of power.

Right in that time skip where Asta was training before going to the Heart Kingdom. The movie was supervised by Tabata, and there is actually a published work by Tabata that explains Conrad and his backstory that leads up to the movie. Its 100% canon. Also, do you read Black Clover? Asta's grimoire belonged to Licht, and Leibe currently resides in it after Luchita sealed him inside if the 5 leaf grimoire to save him from Lucifero. Aslo, Asta didnt manifest any of his swords. He aquired them and absorbed them into the book smh

Bro you underestimated Asta and the BC universe so much. Glamour World is stated to be its own universe and Yami can cut through that universe which would put him at universal but at the very least planetary. Also when the Devil King is manifested it’s stated he’d destroy the entire world so that makes Asta at least planetary for sure.And Asta was able to move during time being stopped so that technically makes his speed immeasurable. But I can live with MFTL.

Listen, I love your chapter review videos. But I don't think scaling is your strong point.. Because saying 'THIS' asta was large country plus at this current point in time. He's very well beyond that, considering with proper scaling.
He's anywhere from at the lowest "Planetary" to multi-solar system level around the time of mid-time skip yami. Who techincally 'cut a multi-solar system realm with dimension slash.
Asta was way beyond continental and country many chapters ago with proper scaling.
There are some new gen anime are stronger than Black Clover
For example, Fire Force, Edens Zero, The Misfit of Demon King Academy, Smile, Boruto, OPM, etc.
asta gonna use his gun and be on trial for man slaughter but be acquitted for some (magic) reason bc literally every kingdom has a stand your (magical?) ground law or there would be no way to fight each other
What I think the reason why Asta was getting bodied by Ichika is because Asta lost to Lucius making him unable to protect Sister Lily, this gave him insecurity which Ryuya later pointed out to Asta. Asta was doubting himself which basically nerfs him.

I don't mean to be the "um acshialee" person but at 1:38 you said lucius wields 4 magics when he actually wields 5 those being: body magic, bone magic, blood magic, time magic, and soul magic. as well as possibly another 3(gravity, spacial, and curse warding i think) if he took all the dark triads magic not just the main ones. at least i think so i may be misrembering the manga or have read a different version with a different translation so feel free to critisize my correction.
if asta could have controlled the abillity to use magic with his sword, he would be just too OP because he would be able to use all of yuno's spells, noelle spells and etc... and with gauche abillity to also clone things, i think he would clone asta and each asta will fight a different cloned lucius, and asta and yuno will fight the original lucius, and great video btw you realy explained everything and showed proof and stated FACTS.

Asta is by far above planetary in my opinion.
when he was fighting lucifero his devil union at first got dog walked like it was nothing after performing a country + feat which might be stronger than that if you take into consideration that julius the wizard king was atleast country+ with his time spell he did against patril when he saved the clover kingdom and lillith and namah on their own was far stronger than julius, and asta one shot a fusion form of them and this Asta couldn't even land a single hit on 50% lucifero or cut him and this lucifero feats atleast put him at continental level then come true devil union asta who dog walks this lucifero which put true devil union asta physically above 50% lucifero which put asta at continental + realm flash forward we got a one year and half timeskip where we are introduced to the main gang and they got hell powerful like yuno who adramalech couldn't believe how powerful he got which means not only yuno alone got strong but also other members as well and we see this base lucius who fougth asta after he had absorbed all % of lucifero which in his base put him above 100% lucifero who would be continental + but that's not all cz base lucius with 50% lucifero powers defeated the remaining half of lucifero in hell which means lucius in base is 100% lucifero plus his own power which atleast puts lucius to moon level or above or small planet level of power, this lucius thought that he could not defeat asta in his base and decided to went into his paladin look alike form which boosts his power in to the level we don't know and literally one shots asta who he thought in his base he could not defeat this atleast put him at planet level cz he one shot asta who could scale to moon level or above, then asta went to japan and learned zetten where he started at the bottom and all the ryuzen where stronger than him put them above moon level and then asta defeated something 4 of these guys almost lost to in one shot and he wasn't trying that hard, if you put the zetten multiply into account asta as a moon level got over 20x stronger this alone got him to large planet level in terms of destruction and durability. his speed i think is MFTL we can't really quantify it.

To be honest, apart from some misunderstanding (for example about how works the arcane stage) you still had really good calculations, and at this point, I think that if we only count the new gen manga, Asta can undubitably beat the other new gen MC, since, with all the stats you calculated, we can also add his strength, that scales at least as high as the spell he can reflect, since, in black clover, even if you negate magic with anti-magic, you don't negate the force of the magic, meaning that if you're not strong enough, even with anti-magic, you get blown by the force of the spell

To my understanding Arcane Stage isn’t the strongest possible level according to their tier system. Arcane Stage is used for those of which that have the potential to kill High Level Devils. At the point of the story where it is introduced, Fuegoleon (for example) was much stronger than Asta but would not have been Arcane Stage due to the fact that no matter how strong he is, he would not be able to kill a High Level Devil. This was solely because Asta was unique and had Anti Magic, Nero had been exposed to forbidden magic and was altered and Yami was on the list because his dark magic could do significant damage to High Level Devils (such as slowing it down like in the battle against Zagred giving Asta an opening to “finish the job”)
