Outstanding. Let's thank the TH-cam Algorithm Gods for bringing this masterpiece to us.

When you see in real time how it can be done, you not only realise how many little details it really have, but you can apreciate this track even more!
Classic!
Thanx Robert!
He brought me too
When you remade and listen to this, you must be very proud of yourself that you could actually succeeded to imitate a legendary song. You realized that you are capable to do this. And you did this. A song which was playing when you were just a kid and you didn't know anything about how it's made but now you made it! Congrats.
Well said Reyis!
indeed
Its really fuckin simple man. What's hard is recreating modern complex electronic music
@@CJMattias As for the arrangement yes it seems there’s not much going on and doable but I find these kinda songs harder than modern complex ones. Same logic applies on guitar too. Playing guitar faster is easier than playing slow. Why I find these harder, because it has a unique sound and unique feeling and specific samples and drums, and you gotta create late 90s drummings and you gotta give that atmosphere etc. All the plugins are serving for creating the modern ones, last friday I got a serum pack full of other artists sound for example but to remake old legendary songs, it’s not easily reachable imo. You gotta show extra effort than modern complex ones. But that’s my opinion of course you can think reverse.
@@FurkanTopal Playing guitar faster is not easier than playing slow. You won't be able to play the same stuff you play at 120 BPM at twice the tempo unless you practice for it gradually raising the tempo or unless the riff or melody is too simplistic or chill to become harder at speed. That's why everyone that learns something new that is above 150 BPM (my rough estimate for when the music becomes harder to follow, take it with a grain of salt) plays it at half or even a quarter of the original tempo first. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast
Holy shit, this is *absurdly* close to the original. Very impressive!
I am agree

Such a GOAT remake.

Lol bro same. It's 1am and i got this in my suggestions sidebar.

That arp is so absolutely mesmerizing it gives me a sense of nostalgia for a place I have never been to
I wonder what kind of place you all find ourselves

Максимально близко к оригиналу! Шедеврально🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
unbelievable re-creation of a track that was and still is way ahead of it's time. I've always been in awe of the production on this track. well done sir!
Outside of time even :). It's among those few that's just special.
@@LifeOnHoth YES, its one of those that stood out, there is a couple of other boomfunc songs that i loved but they havent aged as well as freestyler, freestyler is just simply a masterpiece

I can still hear the lyrics... awesome work
This video reminded me of the Jim Pavloff recreation of Smack My Bitch Up. Whilst, and I hope you don't mind me saying this, it's not a perfect sonic recreation of the original (as Jim's was), it's an excellently detailed insight into what we can achieve in Ableton Live and a great showcase of how valuable it is to learn by recreating our favourite songs. The production is amazing, well done. You should be very proud of this, especially the recreations of the stabs, the arp and the sampled parts. 10/10
Jim Pavloff's recreation of Smack My Bitch Up make sme think he's Liam Howlett in disguise.
patronising much? And a DAW snob too. You're an open book.
@@bitemyshite What in the world makes you think I care at all what a troll called "bitemyshit" thinks has to say? Especially when you've somehow deducted I'm a DAW snob, despite using 4 DAWs on a regular basis. Your life must be really pathetic to seek out comments on TH-cam videos and desperately try to provoke a reaction. Grow up, keyboard warrior.
With stuff like this, arrangement is one thing, but the sounddesign is absolutely key to a convincing cover. The fact that you recreated some of the most iconic sounds in this track (i would say even in music history) to a level of perfection that it's indistinguishable from the original is very impressive. I can only hear the difference in minor level balances, and maybe the bassline, but it's so fucking close.
Yes, there are mistakes in the bass line that I did not notice and did not have time to fix. Thank you for the praise.
my respect goes through the roof on this one. Freestyler has been my most favorite track since I was 10 years old. No seeing this song being recreated is insane!
The creativity Bomfunk producers had creating this!
If the copyright bot is finding this song, this shows how good you made the music.
😎
Robots are so stupid )))
Cringe comment
This is literally how content ID doesnt work.
not "made" but "copied"
That's really impressive. And after 20+ years still an awesome song.
Recreating this masterpiece is a masterpiece itself
Just brilliant, so close to original one, you used the right simples with the perfect additions and editions.. Much respect, stay with the music, because you are so talented..
Thank you very much!
@@RobertSharipov Insane production skills. Any chance of the project, please?
I think this is 80% accurate but sounds so good. Recreating the scratches???
I can't even do half of it and this guy even tried to recreate the hits. Awesome, amazing.
as a former vynil dj it's so awsome when you can finaly see what you visualised in your head all those years ago, while mixing and sampling tracks,
great job my friend. Love it.
Making art out of art, sampling from other great songs and making a newer great song, then recreating it like that. Man, what a time to be alive, we live in a greatest times ever, wars always existed, but stuff like we have here never in history of humankind. Thank you guys for gathering here for 15 minutes, forget for a minute all your problems and witness the great reality we live in.
the transitions in this track are honestly 2nd to none, and theres so many of them.
First of all, this is a proof of outstanding skills and complete understanding of the subject. Being able to reverse-engineer a composition, re-create every part of it and assemble it back is a true master level. I'd say something like "keep going" but, actually I'd say something like "chill and find the best way to apply your skill". You nailed sound production.
Bro...this is like watching someone paint the Mona Lisa, WTF, so wild. Man I love music production. Man's sample editing skills are wild. And this was 2 years ago too. Imagine making this insanity and nobody notices, 2 years down the line shit blows up.
Thanks for the nice words, I appreciate it. 😌🙏
Legend has it that Boomfunk MC's watched this video in order to make "Freestyler".
Hats off. I was always fascinated by that particular pluck reverb and you absolutely nailed that and all the rest.
TH-cam algorithm gods blessed me with this beauty tonight. Thank you for this amazing experience.
Holy shit man, you absolutely killed this. It gave me chills in a couple of different parts. Great job!!
Straight from the top of my dome.
Rock'a microphone.
When I listen to arp at the beginning, it reminded me of competition I entered I break dancing to it years ago, I came 2 nd, wow I can’t believe how complex the track is & has that 80s feel, still it a time less , well done for sharing your knowledge with us and taking the time to re create this masterpiece ❤
This is one of the legendary synth tracks of all times. This recreation is top notch !!!
Amazing job man. The orchestra hit with the phaser on it is the most 90s sound possible 😂
While the song was building up, in the beginning, I was feeling so overwhelmed... Felt like I was 10 y.o. listening to this legend for the first time again 🥲 You sir, are a master of your craft and I'm thankful for the place, algorithm brought me this time ✊🏼
you are my hero, I always wanted a break up of this song. you have answered so many questions!
Dude, this is just crazy. Completely nailed it! This deserves so much more views!
would have more if he actually sang, maybe dance, along too

Mind-Blowing! I produce music myself, but recreating other tracks this well really takes a lot of skill. You need a lot of patience and dedication to get everything right.
It's really difficult, you're right.
Same here. Producing, but not recreating. Good Job on this!

Amazing work!! The sounddesign is absurdly close!!! And damn that bassline's musical, everything in the track was so ahead of it's time

It's quite an experience hearing this without the vocals after almost 25 years. Great job!
Seriously impressive both the original creation and your recreation of it! Shows how much must have gone into writing the tune in the first place. Love this tune.
absolutely legendary. im blown away
I know and loved this legendary track from when it was brand new on the top lists and I must say I'm kinda shocked... I always thought it's kind of easy beat mixed in Virtual DJ by some random guys on the home computer after school when mumma was laying on the coach and watching TV, but I have never noticed so many different sounds perfectly fitted until you showed it. Perfect work!
Wow, that’s simply astounding. The level of technical detail is mind blowing and sounds amazing 🤩

Wow, U really know your stuff. Great work!
I could listen that intro for whole days
Amazing work what an effort !!!!
Awesome work ! a new sub, from Nicaragua
I think i watched a vid you did, recreating Firestarter by Prodigy, That was stunning, this was off the chain feckin Epic. I run StudioOne, and I love it. but you make your use of Ableton, into a Masterclass of how to squeeze the best out of your DAW, without actually recreating the track, but using the original, years ago I did like a re mix/ mashup type thing, and used the Smack my Bitch up line from prodigy over this track, had to tempo match it, sounded great over Freestyler. Keep up the great work.
Amazing work. Just WOW!!
Love this!! Super result!
this track is fucking genius!!
That is so fucking good dude! Thanks alot, i love you for this!
Even TH-cam recognises this one as the Video Original Version, good job mate
