One of the things I love the most about On The Trail is that although bigfoot is the main focus, every episode is also a love-letter to the locations in which you're filming. Y'all have a clear passion and respect for the natural world and it never fails to make my day
An exceptional episode. The footage and scenery was spectacular. Wonderfully done with Breedlove history. The best researchers and witness guests. Thanks for a fine show!
Seth.. my wife and I have been following you and your team for quite awhile, with much enjoyment ! This particular documentary really showed your heart and your talents in a very powerful way. PLEASE... 'keep on keepin' on'. Our sincere appreciation ! (I was born a short distance from my Paternal Grandad's farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in Amherst, VA.in 1951.) My Dad's work took me far away from there when I was 5, never to return again. My childhood memories are still VERY real to me, and I thank God for them.
I’m about halfway through this documentary, and watching it brings back memories of the early days watching STM documentaries. It is a fresh and in-depth look at regional aspects of the Sasquatch phenomenon, and I’m all here for it. Thank you to all who contributed to this effort 👏🏾🍀
Love the history y'all started with, very cool. So much land around the Smokies for the Big Fella. Scott Carpenter RIP, spent endless hours by himself out in the Smokies and had several encounters and experiences. He helped me with my own experience and I miss talking with him.
My wife and I live in a small town in British Columbia Canada We have been praying for you all and your families There was never any MSM that told us about the devastation that Helena caused Most of the information came from TH-cam and TikTok I am also believer of the existence of Sasquatch Bless you all my Appalachian friends ❤
Hope you fared well enough during and post Helene. This feature was a love letter to the Blue Ridge region, and I share in its admiration and affection for the Smokies and WNC.
Awesome video, beautiful scenery and interesting subject discussed by intelligent people. Also seeing Seth's family adds an interesting dimension to it. Thanks for the great work, you guys are excellent!
Leaving Cades Cove in dark, we seen a string of lights that looked like tear drops in the woods, we thought it was a whole string of cars coming down another mountain until it moved right next to our vehicle off on side of the road. Our last trip in October we stopped at a large stream on our way leaving Cades Cove and across the road I noticed possible footprints going up ridge on other side and took pictures. Prints looked as if something heavy and big and even disturb the dirt behind the heel, no claws like a bear or big cat.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all as well Seth!! This is an absolutely fantastic look at The Great Smoky Mountains, Western NC, as well as the Breedlove Family roots. You knocked it out of the park my friend. Being from Asheville, and roaming WNC when I was younger, allowed me to have a great appreciation for the stories you were telling of family, community, as well as wild men, or wood booger sightings. Kudos!! 😊❤ BTW, I dont think there is anything from STM that I didn't like. You've put together a talented group of people, who do wonderful work. Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving to *STM**You and the Channel are Appreciated The Mysteries and Shadows in the mountains of NC Will always be Ancient Ty for all you do and Share 🍁🦃🍂
Wow,amazing🎉!! We caught the premier yesterday & did blow us away, for more than one reason: We've been interested in Sasquatch for years & years; but crazy sounds in the darkness have been pretty much extent my per. experience. Have enjoyed some your other films, based many miles in other direction,as well; but you see were E.Tennasseans ' ,Knoxville based- but same as thee growing up going to the mt.s, so often- this film,& your personal family stories, the little touches,so particular this part our Great Nation- well,You did our ancestors proud,Seth,& will be viewing again soon, with special friends and family. Ya know, come to think about it; your last name is pretty familiar round these parts. Thank you,for this, take care. Michael Rice
Hi Seth, I've been following your channel for a few years and it just keeps getting better man.. you guys work your asses off no doubt, keep up the great work y'all and rock on your and good luck in your future endeavors...god speed
This was so beautiful, bless you and your wonderful heart. We live on Needmore and love the history of this area. We like to honor the Breedlove and Dehart families.
I enjoyed the storytelling and scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains (now that I'm too old to go anywhere) thanks for taking us there with you! From the Cascade Mountains, British Columbia where Sasquatch is "alleged" to roam!😉
I lived in that area for about a year. One of the prettiest places on earth. But I had no idea that the Appalachian mountains was older than the Rockies. I guess I just assumed that the good lord built them all at the same time.
I've been to Cades Cove several times...its an ancient mysterious but beautiful place. I remember seeing a huge set of antlers in the high grass but couldn't see the deer itself.
😂 youd think he'd either be really loud or really clumsy because at least 2 of them would have to be left feet. Surely we'd have caught one by now because they'd basically be tripping all over themselves and everything else. Sorry I ruined your joke but that's VERY funny!! ❤❤
Now THAT intro was special. Thank you for sharing that story and taking us along. Edited comment. And right in the middle of this beautiful story is an ad for online gambling ??? 🤦🏻♂️
Seth, I noticed the Vietnam Veterans hats that your dad and David Dehart are wearing. Please thank them for their service and sacrifice to and for our country. While WWII veterans are referred to as the greatest generation, so are the Vietnam War veterans as far as I am concerned. They gave so much in service to our country.
It’s funny I really love this documentary and ironically, although it says Bigfoot in the title, I was more interested in the people of Appalachia and how they live in their tradition. Excellent job.! as a reviewer I have to say this is outstanding documentary.
So excited to see this, thank you for your hard work!! I am from Texas, and I am currently reading about the Texas Dogman Triangle. Have a great Thanksgiving!
How hasn’t Seth and the crew realized yet that the very best way to have a higher likelihood of interaction is to just sit by a fire and be normal. Walking around making noise isn’t ideal. And they’re very aware of game cams. lol.
The story that Dr. Jones shares at about 1:03:00 is one that has also stuck with me. I find it to be quite compelling and have heard it some time ago on what I believe was one of Lynn Smyth’s channels. When I find the link I’ll post it. Unfortunately, there is a tragic postscript to what Dr. Jones shared here. The woman’s friend never quite recovered from the incident, eventually succumbing to substance addiction and passing sway at an early age. The kind of deep and lasting effects that encountering these beings can have on people is not to be underestimated, and the Indigenous oral history as well as folklore about them is indeed a cautionary tale about what (or rather, who) we may encounter in the forests.
STM releases have been rather monotonous of late. Too much repetitive talk that drags on and on. I'd like to see an episode that just focuses on eye-witness accounts and cg recreations. People walking around the woods at night banging on trees, making whooping noises, and jumping at every rabbit that stirs in the underbrush is why Finding Bigfoot failed.
I liked this one. I actually thought it was very interesting and informative. This is the first one I could watch in months. The only thing I didn't like or that was cringe for me was the ape stuff. Which was actually repetitive. Almost felt like there was an agenda.
@@BrentGarcia-vb7dxmaybe to prove one theory you have to disprove the others? So they have to talk about all of it? I definitely don't feel like it's an unknown species of ape though lol that's just ridiculous
@@jamimoor7311 These things are not apes. At least not an ape species from this world. The more that I hear about their ability to simply turn around and vanish leads me to believe they either have some abilities to cloak themselves, or are slipping back and forth between dimensions. There is no other explanation, with all the people and technology out looking for them, for how they can remain so elusive.
Sasquatch are an ancient people, they have names, they have spiritual beliefs, they still live the old ways... and they can mindspeak. Sasquatch watch and listen to the currents of the world. They know much about human society, culture and our customs. I believe they want us to know that they are like us.
You need to vist southwest Virginia. I've had a 2 sightings and several other experiences. Vocalization, rock throwing, terrible smell. Infersound. They're here in especially along the Appalachian trail.
Very interesting video, thank you. If I’m not mistaken, I was under the impression that South Africa holds the record for the oldest mountains? Anyway, thanks I enjoyed watching your video.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. When we went hiking in the park about 10 or so years ago there was a drought and the ranger told us if a bear is coming at us to throw a water bottle at it and walk away briskly. He said they also had the crazy "Gypsies" in the park and they were trying to steal water and food from hikers. He said the ones they arrested spoke the same language the gypsies spoke, the only translator that understood them said it was Gypsy. We did not see bear on the trails but they where in the area the pool and the buildings we stayed in. Had a bear climb up the back of the building to the 4th floor and sat on the porch looking at us through the glass for a long time. My kids loved it, I did not. We where at Westgate.
Not that anyone asked but the Dennis L. Marten 6 (smokies) and the Dennis E. Johnson 8 (Yellowstone) are crazy similar for more than just the name. Both wearing red shirts... similar age, similar description etc. Maybe do that story one day
I appreciate the stories and "B" roll, but, have you guys ever really shot any footage on an actual expedition? All I've seen was people sitting around telling stories. And shots of wilderness. It's almost like filming while you're camping. Just wondering....thanks guys!!!
I don’t really know what to say. Maybe: Impressive. I have really enjoyed watching your videos. Especially Bigfoot videos. But I have not managed 3 minutes of your newest video. Are you ok?
At 17 and a half minutes, Cherokee people, culture and history are being discussed and the image on the screen is one depicting people of western plains tribes
The Martin case is actually not as unexplainable as people think. As usuall Paulidis doesn’t tell the whole story or any part that conflicts with his narrative.
If you are lost and can’t find a trail,, so do you think you’re going to be able to find a possum and he’s gonna lead you to the middle of a road??? What in the world?? That’s about the most crazy thing I have ever heard!!!!!
