- After a few days of doing something else, I thought I had best list this car for sale. Doesn't sound very interesting, but actually, it really is

This got me thinking, where would be the best place to photograph a car to sell? Let’s begin with the Rover Mini Metro 100. I think a nice road of bungalows, the ones set back from the road, front gardens with beautifully trimmed hedges. The MG ZS is a McDonalds car park car. The Rover 45 is a Slug and Lettuce car park car. It could be a Wetherspoons, but I think it has to be a chain pub. The 75 is a tricky one as it’s either outside the majestic gates of a country house or the overgrown garden of a council house, either would be appropriate and would be an excellent indicator of price expectations. Nigel would look great photographed outside a circus tent or maybe that funfair in the park were he ever to go up for sale. Or even just to get some photos for yourself. My old BMW 3 Series would need to be photographed outside a metal and glass business park type place I think, but my new Volvo would be on a single track road, preferably dirt or gravel, in an AONB with trees and hills and stuff. If you would like to know where I think your car should be photographed for a Facebook Marketplace ad, tell me what it is and I’ll have a little think. Please note this is just for fun and I don’t wish to offend anyone, though if you’re one of those people who enjoy being offended then I will do my best for you.
What a great idea
A breadline spec 111i is the ultimate Rover 100 experience. No frills or any factory options. Not even coloured bumpers. Proper retro metro experience.
It definitely is that!
Interesting to see the handover paperwork signed by Rod Ramsay, Rover Marketing Director in April '95. I worked directly under him at that time.
Oh that's interesting ☺️
Yeah it could advertise Stannah Stairlifts
Ooh
Did I miss how much it is, and where it's advertised ?
Mine handled very well i had a Rover Metro 1.1 with a manual choke the 1993 model it would do 110mph if you pushed it hard on a downhill motorway and it went so well on little village lanes , I think previous owner fitted better suspension , I only paid £350 for it in 2008 and it never went wrong apart from the door falling off lol but yeah good cars only issues they had were poor build quality.
A airbag steering wheel? I don't have that on my 111 Kensington SE
Good video Paul 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Mustard the modern day Mozart!
😅
My gran lived on Equitable st for years.
Yeah?
I had one for two years, it had done no miles, no where to plug your phone in, I sorted that soon as I
😅
It's definitely not Lewis Hamilton 😂🤣 being a standard rover metro but it's looks a solid low mileage (shocking) but it will be a good little runner for some one depending on the price of course but it needs 12 months MOT on it to even get interest you need to park it outside the yard as it's a bissy road or put it on eBay
Bissy 🤔, methinks someone is inventing new words 😁👍🇮🇪
I don't want to MOT until I have a deposit really.
You made the right choice mustard develop your own follow I’d rather be around 10 people that get me rather than 100 people who don’t 👌
I make videos that I would like to watch, myself 😊
$20.000👀💥🚗🚙!! And not a Penny more 👀!
☺️
Hi, I'm the lady that made herself known to you at the car show at Elland Mill, I'm a friend of Mark Marsden, how much is the Metro?
Hello. It's £1600
@@ProjectNigeloptimistic 😂😂😂😂
10:33 I hope you waved back to those friendly robots.
No I didn't 😅
@@ProjectNigel Well, if there is a robotic uprising that brings on the end of all mankind as we know it, then we'll all know it was you who stirred the hornets nest. 😂
Less than 2 weeks mot? Surely it will sell if you put one on?
It will cone with a new MOT
RETRO METRO
😊😊
Great to see a local lad having fun ( & making a quid)
Are you in Milnrow?
@@ProjectNigel My dad's family (100 years +) lived there, I'm a roughy head born and bread. Escaped to Wales a few years ago. Love the Cutler esc humour keep it coming 👍.
So how much is that £500 car then 😊
Quite a bit more
O no k series lets take the sump off to get the head off
Still a better car than the 75.
😅
Death trap!!!!!
Only because of Audi drivers
@ProjectNigel the car was immediately withdrawn from the market, after Euroncap tested its crashworthiness in 1997. The car performed shockingly and offered appalling protection for the vehicles occupants
one of Boaty best motors he should of kept this one over the rest easily
It's not entirely his car
@@ProjectNigel ahh okay a company
