    I should have bought 10 when I left the Army in 85. You could get them for nothing. What a beast and one of a few vehicles that appreciate in value. Great vid. Would love to see more. Subbed and liked. Love the drone shots.

    I have one in the UK. Fitted power steering, overdrive, turbo, truck cab (keeps you warm), defender seats. My trailer is a UK Sankey, same 1960s. Fantastic.

      How does the truck cab work?

    • @davidbaggett8282
      @davidbaggett8282 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jackalmighty6387 The standard Land rover truck cab fits with no problems. It means I can lock up the front and still have the canvass cover on the tub or use it as a pick up.

    I bought an ex British military 110 Tithonus, it's the best thing I've ever owned! Roof off or sides up in summer, Rad haz kit for insulation in the winter. Cheap parts here in the UK as well. Thanks for the great video.

    They have a Centre Diff Lock, but they do not have front and rear lockers as standard. The CDL - when locked basically provides 4WD ensuring that the front rear wheel turn at the same speed. If either a front or rear wheel losers traction, drive will also be lost to the other wheel (unless F&R lockers are fitted).
    Galvanised chassis is awesome, but the aluminium panels will corrode (not rust). The front bulkhead/firewall is not galvanised and these do rust badly.

    Yes they are something to drive,l drove one when l was in the army and recently my local RSL purchased one and they got me to drive it back here,all I can say is they still drive like a tractor and you will need good warm clothing,loud radio,and in my case this one had a ghost in the wipers because they went on and off by themselves, hmm they should name this one ghost rider.

    Subscribed because it's a perentie and perenties are awesome. Make more videos of davo. As a 6x6 owner I can imagine how loud and cold it is although the heaters are surprisingly good once they get going

    Love 'em. Got a 6x6 already which is an amazing vehicle, but heavy man! Getting a KLR turbo upgrade as we speak, and so will have an extra turbo. So gotta get a 4x4 Perentie of course!

    Wider tyres will only give you more resistance. Skinnysnare best for most 4wd/
    Overlanding.

    Nothing wrong with the tyres they are made in France ?

    If you let your tires down taller thinner tire will get just as much floatation as a somewhat wider one 🤔

      Davo is awesome and part of our collection. Our new addition will be shown very soon and another to come in March as well. Should be a great year ahead for content, or at least better than last year. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼

    I agree about most of what you said except about the tyres, Its a very common misconception about narrow tyres that they are no good, and its BS, Why do you think the Army have always used them, Its because they are advised by experts not tyre salesmen.
