Thanks for the video. Have just purchased this heater and your video is the perfect tool to help me get this installed. manual that comes with the heater not very clear.
Awesome mate thank you, i have the exact same van! and have just bought a diesel heater, so i came looking for install ideas so this was perfect! i was going to try and wire it into the BMPRO battery management system but just going straight to the battery looks a lot easier!. the only thing missing from this video is a bit more footage of the wiring and the install of the fuel tank.
Hello from the high desert of New Mexico USA 🇺🇸. FYI that green PVC line is not designed for fuel, please replace it with the white nylon fuel line . I hope this helps you out. Keep up the good work and stay safe and charged
We have it mounted on the front of our van behind a cover, but we have placed them on a few different spots depending on the vans we have installed them on
Hello thank you for your feedback. The diesel heater we purchased was pretty well plug and play. The only real hard wiring was the positive and negative wire to the battery which is fused
We have found the air pressure has been strong enough to remove the condensation from the line, The exhaust line is on a slight angle downwards. Thanks for the review, we are glad you liked the video :)
Does the metal plate who comes with the kit become hot when the heater in working??...the exhaust will be ok but the plate just over it??Asking this because i want to install mine in the bed of my tacoma truck, the bed is made of fiberglass...i don't want to melt the bed lol!!I will wrap the exhaust but i know it will be hot anyways.
When you initially installed the heater all the wiring went down through the floor but when you showed us under the van the wiring was not there. What did you do with it? does it come out somewhere else? Cheers
Hello, the only section of wiring that went through the floor was for the fuel pump. The remainder of the wiring stayed inside the under bed compartment as it was all close to the batteries Cheers
Hello from the high desert of New Mexico USA 🇺🇸. Yes you can mount the heater on a wall , but you must mount it horizontal and with the glow plug facing upward, take the cover off and you will see the silicone cover for the glow plug. I hope this helps you. Stay safe
Pretty common on a lot of caravans. Also old cars back in the day had wooden floors exposed to the elements, they survived well enough, not shoddy at all, just common practice and it saves weight.
@@thevettes_ ..My unit came with 2 plates and I naturally assumed that it was to form a sandwich type affair with all the pipes etc running through BOTH of them. With sealant on both plates Inside & outside, there would be little chance of water damaging your floor, whereas now, there is not much chance of escaping damage as water will soak your exposed timber floor timber, regardless of the bit of paint you put on the cut surfaces. I was just going to fit a mesh type opening to the interior of the van for the intake at the opposite end of the heater, as all it is doing is recirculating the air already in the van, with the fresh air coming in from below.
My diesel heater instructions were crap! Your instructions saved me cheers bud!
Thanks heaps for the feedback, I’m happy they helped
This has been extremely helpful so a very big thank you especially for the shots underneath the van and nice to see Australian video
Thank you, this was our first try at a demonstration video so thank you for your feedback
Thanks for the video. Have just purchased this heater and your video is the perfect tool to help me get this installed. manual that comes with the heater not very clear.
Your welcome, good luck with your install
Mate that was a great, easy to follow video. I'm about to install the exact same chinese heater so you've helped me out big time. Thanks so much!!
Good Luck, let me know how you go & Thank you for your comment

It’s not green. That’s the colour of our diesel in Australia. It’s a clear plastic pipe.
Hi I believe it’s different In Australia
I took a drink every time you said obviously lol😝 good video!
Haha cheers, I hope you didn’t get a hangover
@@thevettes_ Obviously he did !
You sure like saying "obviously " a lot 🤣🤣
Great video thanks heaps
Thanks for your great explanation and attention to detail vid, this will help us install ours.
Thank you for your feedback
Good work, a great video.
Thank you
Legend
Cheers
Would be interested in seeing where & how you mounted the fuel tank
Agree. This vidoe doesn't cover the installation enough👎
We have it mounted on the front of our van behind a cover, but we have placed them on a few different spots depending on the vans we have installed them on
@thevettes if possible could you post a photo of it please? Thanks.
Very little mention of the wiring which is as important as fitting the hardware. JBR

From the instructions i have seen the muffler should be mounted so the drain hole can drain condensate. Good video though.

I’d imagine the plate would get a little warm but the exhaust is definitely the hottest part to be concerned about
Hi, where is the cold air drawn from? I couldn't tell if the hole was drilled internally or through the side of the van. Thanks.
Hi it’s drilled internally on the side of our bed frame
Why not reverse the air inlet so it takes in air from the caravan interior?
It currently has a inlet inside the van, the one coming from outside is to ignite the combustion part
Why not mount the fuel tank outside the caravan?
It’s designed to be mounted inside
Your exhaust is mounted wrong. There is a drain hole in it that should point down.
Agree, we have since turned it around

Hello from Sydney Australia. great video, can you tell me what brand of Chinese heater you used. and is it still working ok . cheers Ian
Hi Ian, it’s a no brand heater of EBay and still works great
I'm wondering...can you install those vertically, like on the wall of a garage?
Hi I think they are designed to be horizontal due to the way the fuel goes in

@@jamesmason7124 Thanks mister!
@@SgtDuster no problem
the exhaust is mounted in the wrong position. It should be mounted with the moisture gap down.
Thanks, we have changed this after the video
Nice video. Kind of worrying that the floor of your van is made of wood! Not even a metal layer on the bottom of it? That's shoddy as hell
Pretty common on a lot of caravans. Also old cars back in the day had wooden floors exposed to the elements, they survived well enough, not shoddy at all, just common practice and it saves weight.

What is the admin password to get the control panel going
Hi is this for the heater control panel?
Obviously obviously ye obviously 🤣
Haha yeah we noticed that after we filmed it … Obviously 🤣

Don't buy a cheap one! Mine lasted 3 weeks, so I just spent 1,500 on a new one.
That’s unfortunate, ours has lasted two years so far
