@@enuff7147 It's definitely the nostalgia that's doing its charm, especially considering how different sound design standards were back then. Imo bo2 has the worst sound design I've heard in an fps game ever mainly because of how muffled every sound is, making it feel anything but satisfying to me. Guns just lack that kick and bass when they're shooting and you're left with just a looped noise and leading to every weapon sounding almost the same. Reload sounds also sound very weak almost like your character isn't holding a firearm but a nerf gun instead lmao. It's all up to personal preference ofc and its subjective but I can see why some people liked it but to me they just don't really hold up. The game still proved it can be amazing despite having its flaws and somehow managed to build a nostalgic feel with its "bad sound design".
@@n1trogasoline I don't think its only about them not bothering to do so but more that they can't do it legally anymore because of the new Californian gun laws that prevents realistic depiction of all weapons in games hence why even the M4 isn't exactly the M4 but a variety of different mixed AR-15 platform guns
