@BooBahh-uh5jk Hey Boobahh, welcome to the club bud. Did you have any malfunctions with it at all? I remember you hesitated on getting it before, I'm glad you love it now.
@michaelmalagoli8652 Hey Mike I hope you don't mind me calling you Mike). Same here bro. I've bought it so I can have it when I can't carry my XMacro but even with the macro I've been carrying it in my pocket as a backup just because it's so micro and comfortable that's it's like it's not even there. I'm glad to hear it, what brand and grain ammo are you using?
@robtans5042 Hey Rob. Been a busy week at work. Didn't get to take it to the range yet but will next week. Going to test out different brands and grain of ammo and post it so stay tuned. Thanks for the support bud. Stay safe 🙏
I went to one of my local gun stores to touch this piece, went back the next day and purchased it. If you don’t need to buy another gun, don’t go touch this one, cause it feels nice in the hands.
@biggdogg19 Hey bigdog. Glad you're loving it as much as I am. Bro you're so right because I'm actually looking for another one since I let my wife hold mine now she wants one lol. Thanks for your feedback and support bud. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
Let's face it, This Gun has been burning up the review scene on TH-cam and almost every one of them has been good But as we all know, the proof is all about Performance in the Field! Having said this, I purchased one from my LGS the first time I placed it in my hand and so far all the hype, IMO, is True! I love everything about this Gun and it has become my EDC! No need to say more at this time!
@stevekatz4372 Hey Steve. Glad to hear it bro. Honestly I didn't even know it was out or even coming out. I went to my FFL to place an order for something totally different (video coming soon) but he knew I was always inquiring about the various pocket pistols and didn't really like what they had so he pulled me to the side and showed me the last one they had. From the 1st touch of it in my hands I bought it. The ergonomics, size, capacity ect of it is just perfectly what I was looking for. To be honest, I bought it as a pocket gun for when I can't carry my Xmacro but found myself as a backup with the xmacro all week. I haven't find time to head to the range yet but will soon. As you said, performance is key so how do you like how it shoots? What ammo brand and grain have you ran through yours?
@brooksr4013 Hey Brooksr. I'm glad you're just as excited as I am about it, it sure does have a great feel to it. So far above the competition of pocket pistols. @LostinMIA Hey Lost. That's great bro, I'm glad you're enjoying it as much as I am. That Gen1 shield is a beautiful pistol. With the coating on the BG2.0 I think you'll get the same durability. What grain and brand ammo you ran through it?
@@R.P._Tactical Hi there! I shot some 90 grain cheap round flat nose and hollow points from Freedom Ammunition with no issues. I shot 100 of each. I will carry with some Underwood 90 grain solid monolithic but not +P. It's not worth the chance on such a small gun plus the difference in penetration is minimal.

Just wait till you shoot it You will love it even more. I’ve had mine for a few days now and I’m liking it more and more every day. I’m going to get a IBW holster for it soon. I see where Kusiak has already made leather holsters for it already and their beautiful Gonna get one soon.
@rickconnerly4434 Hey Rick. Oh man, I took it yesterday and you're absolutely correct, I love it even more. I bought it primarily for when I can't carry my Xmacro but find myself carrying both 😆. Thanks for the feedback and support bro. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@IROD808 Bro that carry comp looks really nice. I want it to but all in good time. I really needed this for the times I can't hip carry. Check out 3:40 into the video and let me know if I got any of that wrong. 😉
Oh I did my brother was watching it all ! And honestly great video my brother your reviews are rocking it ! And of course mad love for the shout out man I truly truly appreciate you brother I got your six back here as well!!! A2 Brothers!
@IROD808 oh ok. Just wanted to make sure I didn't mis represent you incorrectly. You really are a great guy and the people need to see your posts. Stay safe bro, I also got your 6. Stay safe 🙏
I’m really loving .380 for self defense. I use Underwood Xtreme defender 68gr in my LCP Max but this is what I want. Max was small but horrible accuracy unless super close. Will be getting this without safety when I can. Nice vid!
Hey Pointwithin. I was actually looking into what's a good self defense round to use with this 2.0, I'll look into that one. Thanks for sharing. I heard from others that this new BG 2.0 fits the LCP Max holster aswell. Please let me know how you like it when you get yours. Thanks for your feedback and support bud. Stay blessed and stay safe or be dangerous. 🙏
Got mine July 20th. After putting over 500 mixed rounds through it without a hiccup, it’s now viable as a daily. I have to keep my daily small. Working in retail, I was told I absolutely could not print while at work (at least they let me carry). My previous micro was the LCP Max. I never shot it for fun, because it just wasn’t fun. I had every version of the LCP, as well as the Kel-Tec P3AT and P32. While most were smaller, they all were not fun to shoot. I know I have over 1000 rounds through this BG2.0. Got my wife to shoot it, had to pick one up for her. It’s going to introduce some new people to carrying daily. Hopefully, it’s going to help bring down the retail of 380 ammo in the long run. I prefer the 10 round flush, while my wife likes the 12 rounders. Nice video sir.
@davidbrown2284 Hey Dave (I hope you don't mind me calling you Dave). I glad you're loving it the same way I am, now you got me scared to let my wife shoot it 😄. Your job is really for that cool and being in retail I can totally understand. I was leaning towards the LCP max myself but glad i didnt because this is definitely a game changer, a class above everything else. What brand ammo do you use for it as your EDC?
@@R.P._Tactical Self defense, I’m using Speer Gold Dot 90gr. For range ammo I’ve used S&B 92gr, Winchester 95gr, PMC 90gr FMJ’s or just about anything that’s not a flat tip FMJ. I’ve shot Remington 88gr HTP JHP’s, as well as Federal HST 99gr and Underwood 68gr Xtreme Defenders. All have fed fantastic through it. The reason I don’t like flat nosed FMJ is I’ve never had much luck with them feeding out of these micro pistols, so why bother testing it.
@davidbrown2284 wow great info Dave. Thanks for sharing. I agree, don't even bother wasting money on the stuff that might juat cause problems, so with all those brands that you sent through it, it's been 100% reliable right?
@@R.P._Tactical Yes, I did clean it and oil it before I used it. I also spent several hours the first night racking the slide as much as humanly possible. The magazines have gotten a little easier to load, but everything else has settled in nice.
I have three .380 Rugers, one LCP II and two LCP Max. I also have two Bodyguard 2.0 pistols. I’ve not fired the Bodyguard 2.0 pistols yet. I like the Ruger pistols a lot. I’m hoping the Bodyguard 2.0 pistols work as well as the Rugers. We shall see. 👍😎
@donniejobe5662 Hey Don. Wow seems like you have a really nice collection bud. I had mine for 2 weeks before I got it to the range due to busy work schedule and I was really anxious because I love the size and feel of it and really hoped it shot good. I was not disappointed, so please with it's performance and hope you enjoy it as much as I do. All my friends that have the LCP max or the original bodyguard all agree the BG 2.0 is perfect. Please let me know how you like it when you do get to shoot it. Thanks for your feedback and support Donnie. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@bfrank7014 Hey BFrank. Thanks for the kind words and confidence in me, I truly appreciate you bro. It really is in a class by itself, the best micro pistol on the market by far imo. I've been carrying it for 4 days and it's just so compact/slim and comfortable it's almost like it's just a phone in the pocket. As always thanks for the feedback and support bro. Stay blessed and safe 🙏
My son had the old Bodyguard and didn’t like it and left it in my safe. I never liked it or the Ruger, And just picked up this new Bodyguard for my self, it just feels right to me. I had picked up the P-938 Legion before this and I just didn’t shoot it well. I’m blessed like you, and my wife always supported me in getting new guns( I met her when i was 17, and she bought me a Belgium Browning 12 ga, and she has never stopped).I enjoyed your video and I am now. a subscriber.
@TheBandit59 Hey Donn. From your profile pic, You look like a big guy so I can understand why the old BG or ruger wouldn't be a good fit for you. Man your wife seems awesome. Yes sir we're blessed to have them by our side. Did you get your hands on the new BG 2.0? definitely a game changer and in a class above the rest. Thanks for your feedback and support brother. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@TheBandit59 No worries bud, people take time out to leave a comment the least I can to is reply. That's great I'm glad you like it. After you get some rounds through it let me know your final thoughts on. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@@R.P._Tactical I’m liking it a lot, but it makes me feel over the hill when carrying it instead of a 9mm or .45. But racking the slide makes me feel my arthritis bad
@TheBandit59 Awsome, glad you're liking the feel of carry and how it shoots. That's one thing, it's really stiff at 1st. I spent a couple days and nights just racking the slide and eventually it loosened up alot so you might want to consider asking the misses or you son to break it in a bit for you. Did you have 100 reliability or had any issues?
Hey Winston. I don't blame you bud, I'd be jealous to lol. If you love the original then you'll really love this one. It really is in a class above the rest. When you get a chance go to your local FFL and just hold it in your hands and you'll fall in love all over again bud. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@rickthompson1422 WOW Rick. That's an amazing deal for sure. To be honest if my FFL had a sale for that price right now I would buy another one. Thanks for your feedback and support pal. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@@R.P._Tactical .....I am in the San Antonio Texas area. I go to a lot of gun shows; I have a lot of dealer friends. I will tell you the prices I have seen at shows. Non-safety version: $ 419 + tax came up to $ 453 OTD. The safety version was $ 399 total OTD. These are cash prices. I always pay cash for a better deal. One thing I don't like about the safety version is how small the safety button is; sure it is textured, but it's really small IMO. But for $ 399 OTD I was not going to pass it up....two or three 2.0s is best ;) I really think I will ditch my LCP IIs and Maxs. I don't like the squareness of the Max grip to body of the slide/body......does not fit the hand well as the BG 2.0 DOES. Hard to articulate, but the BG 2.0 grip is more angled to the body and fits the hand better...
@rickthompson1422 It's not that hard to articulate for me because I totally understand and get it. That's one the many reasons I'm so in love with mine, it just fits snug like a glove. I take it you're a big guy with big hands. Me, not so much because the safety is the perfect size where it's easy to disarm while not being in the way for me. I always told my wife if we ever move out of NY it'll be to Texas. I love all of texas but especially fond of Dallas. Thanks Rick
The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 is THE BEST designed and manufactured micro-sub-compact 380 in the last 40 plus years! Bar NONE! It beats ALL the others in EVERY category! Better than the Sig 365, and I have one of those too. Ruger should just stop manufacturing the LCP Max all together (I have one of those too). No thanks on the Sig P238 also.
@Joeak74 Hey Joe. Bro tou hit it right on the head. I couldn't say it any better it's definitely in a class all by itself by miles. Thanks for the feedback and support brother. Stay blessed and stay safe or stay dangerous.

......in 10 years I have developed a lot of local dealer friends. I visit with them at every show. They often get specials from the distributors (like they buy a package deal from the distributors, and they get discounts on each piece). Most of my dealer friends pass that savings on to me. I always pay in cash. They prefer cash; cash is King as they say....if you pay by credit card you are going to pay another 3% on top of the purchase price in almost all cases..... I always ask, "what is the CASH, OTD price?" I am a savvy shopper...
@rickthompson1422 Yes sir, cash is king all over the world so I can understand getting better deals on cash purchases but man $400 OTD is still the cheapest I've heard of for the 2.0
@rickthompson1422 That's solid. Maybe it's a Texan deal 😆 I spoke with a few people from all over the U.S in different states and it ranges from $430-$499
@Pler1978 Hey MJA. I'm happy you like the size and feel as much as I do. I picked up on last weekend this firearm is excellent everything felt so good now i just trying see what the best self defense ammo to get for this 380 .. if yall have any suggestions let me know please. But yea i picked mine up for 419, 424 out the door
@williamhackey7792 Hey Will. (Hope you don't mind me calling you Will). That's a great deal you got. I'm wondering the same thing, I'm actually going to the range next week so I'll be testing out some different brands of ammo and post it so stay tuned bro. Thanks for the feedback and support. Ive been looking in to v crowns and Federal Hydro shok , im not sure i have a Shield M9 2.0 with Hornady critical defense they worked well with the 9mm I wander how Hornady does with 380..ive seen reviews to were they dont open every time with denim so im not sure about Hornady 380
I’ve learned about this gun game that people just love following hype… as long as a gun looks “cool” everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Not one single person ever liked the bodyguard original 380 because they will sigh .380 is to small of a round to defend your life and all this bs. Now they come out with the 2.0 and it looks really nice, nobody minds carrying a .380 now? Okay
@CarlosSanchez-uh9ud Hey Carlos. You somewhat of a valid point there lol. I also heard alot of people speaking crap about 380 before and then praising this one. I can't speak for anyone else or don't know if you watched the whole video but you can't say you ever heard me say anything about not carrying a 380 pistol. I've been waiting for something like this for awhile because I didn't like how the other ones felt in my hand but this badboy is everything I wanted. You have to remember most of those guys that talked smack about 380 got this gun for free after signing a 8page disclosure form. I don't get any gun for free so I say what I feel about everything. My opinion isn't for sale. Thanks for your feedback and support bud. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
Good review👍 I have been fondling the Ruger LCP Max for over a year every time I was in the tool store, I never took a liking to the way it felt in my hand.🤷♂ I picked up the BG 2.0 a few weeks ago and love this little gun, I was at the range with it today. I was comparing it to the recoil of the S&W Equalizer and the FN Reflex. The Bodyguard had less recoil, but man it was not a lot less than the Reflex or the Equalizer. But the Equalizer is the lightest recoiling 9mm I have ever shot and the Reflex isn't much more recoil... The trigger on the BG 2.0 is one of the best striker fired triggers I have shot.🤷♂ Funny thing about this thing, I said it was going to be my "walking the dog in the back yard" pistol that I just put in my pocket to keep the skunks at bay. But I have carried it everywhere since I made sure it functioned. I have still been carrying my 9mm EDC, but I have been putting the BG 2.0 in my pocket as well.👊 Oh yeah, the UpLula loader will work on .380 acp, save the thumbs.👍
@Disastrous.Affect Hey DisastrousAffect. Same thing with me bro. I bought it as a pocket pistol for quick errands but find myself carrying it alongside my Xmacro. I've been carrying it for 4 days and it's just so compact/slim and comfortable it's almost like it's just a phone in the pocket. But you opened my eye to those 2 other guns now I'm intrigued 🤔 got to get my hands on the equalizer and the reflex, I had no idea that they're both really that good at recoil management. Thanks for the feedback and support bro. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@@R.P._Tactical Not only are the Equalizer and Reflex light recoiling, they are hammer fired, so the trigger is sweet on both.👍 But that BG 2.0 trigger is no slouch for a striker fired trigger.👊
@Disastrous.Affect Oh snap, that's awesome. I'm definitely looking into those the next time I go to the FFL, don't be surprised if you see one on the channel in the future lol. I really appreciate your info, feedback and support D.A. Stay safe pal 🙏
Had to give this video a 👍🏼 just for the wallet comment alone. All kidding aside thanks for the video, today I actually just checked out the BG 2.0 really cool looking firearm. I know the trigger is lite and if I purchase it there is no way I wouldn’t put it in the holster first before I place it in the pocket.
@Mike-cu6gk Hey Mike. 😆 glad you liked it bud. Yeah, I don't blame you. Mine have a manual safety and I still holster it before putting it in my pocket. I'm actually trying out 4 of them that I ordered and will have a video out soon of which one I think is best, Stay tuned. Thanks for the feedback and support. Stay blessed and safe 🙏

@indysbest9851 Hey Indy. Bro I'm the same way. I bought it as a pocket pistol for when I can't carry my Xmacro but for the past week, I've just carried both. It's so compact and comfortable that it's like it's bearly there. What brand ammo are you using as an EDC ?
@indysbest9851 Ahh ok. Makes sense. In your business and dealing with the public, discretion is a must so I'm happy you got the BG, it should serve your purpose very well for years to come. Thanks for your feedback and support. Stay blessed and stay safe bro.
@Barikade Hey Barikade, I've held and felt the Mod2 to be honest with you I've never shot it so can't speak on that aspect but in terms of pocket/ankle carry, it's much bigger than this bodyguard 2.0, I've been pocket carrying it for 4 days now and oh man it's so lightweight and comfortable, it's like it's hardly there. In fact, even when I'm carrying my Xmacro I'll still throw this in the pocket as a backup, that's how low profile it is. I hope you can get your hands on one to feel for yourself, you will fall in love. Stay safe bro 🙏
@@R.P._Tactical much respect brother. Damn I have to check it out if it's smaller than the mod 2. I'd figure it be super snappy that small but the grip on it looks butter as you stated 👍🏽 have a good day bro 💪🏽
@Barikade yeah bro, even tho the barrel is small, 380 is naturally so much smoother than 9mm which the mod2 is. But you got to get your hands on it to see for yourself, it's totally in a class all by itself imo. I've handled ALOT of pocket pistols trying to find one that's just right for me but none came close until I held this one.
@Barikade Yes champ, even if you can't get it right now, call and see if your FFL has one in stick and just go get a feel of it to see if it's a right fit for you. Everyone is built different. 💪🏾 stay safe bud

@chuckmcnair7938 Hey Chuck. Good question. It's a micro pistol with a slide that's less than 1 inch wide so there's no optic small enough that'll fit on it without the sides protruding. And as a pocket pistol, you really don't want an optic on or it might just get snagged trying to access your pistol quickly. Thanks for the support bud. Stay safe 🙏

Super happy for you my guy, can’t wait to see a range video.
@paulschmidt1247 Thanks my brother. Yes sir it'll be out soon. Hope all is well with you and your family. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
@@R.P._Tactical
Self defense, I’m using Speer Gold Dot 90gr.
@@R.P._Tactical
Yes, I did clean it and oil it before I used it. I also spent several hours the first night racking the slide as much as humanly possible. The magazines have gotten a little easier to load, but everything else has settled in nice.

Great vid as always bro and beautiful firearm, it looks like the perfect pocket rocket.
Very nice addition . Looking forward to the range video of it.
Super jealous! I want one! I love my Original m&p BG 380
Hey Winston. I don't blame you bud, I'd be jealous to lol. If you love the original then you'll really love this one. It really is in a class above the rest. When you get a chance go to your local FFL and just hold it in your hands and you'll fall in love all over again bud. Stay blessed and stay safe 🙏
...I lucked out and found a BG 2.0 for $ 399. OTD. It's the safety version, but I preferred the non-safety version. Couldn't pass it up for $ 399.

@rickthompson1422 Yes sir, cash is king all over the world so I can understand getting better deals on cash purchases but man $400 OTD is still the cheapest I've heard of for the 2.0
@@R.P._Tactical ....a few other people told me they paid the same. also...399 OTD...
@rickthompson1422 That's solid. Maybe it's a Texan deal 😆 I spoke with a few people from all over the U.S in different states and it ranges from $430-$499

@williamhackey7792 same here, that's what I use in my Xmacro aswell. They didn't have hornady in 380 at my FFL so I got some other brands
Good review👍
I have been fondling the Ruger LCP Max for over a year every time I was in the tool store, I never took a liking to the way it felt in my hand.🤷♂
I picked up the BG 2.0 a few weeks ago and love this little gun, I was at the range with it today.
The trigger on the BG 2.0 is one of the best striker fired triggers I have shot.🤷♂
Funny thing about this thing, I said it was going to be my "walking the dog in the back yard" pistol that I just put in my pocket to keep the skunks at bay. But I have carried it everywhere since I made sure it functioned. I have still been carrying my 9mm EDC, but I have been putting the BG 2.0 in my pocket as well.👊
Oh yeah, the UpLula loader will work on .380 acp, save the thumbs.👍
@@Disastrous.Affect Oh nice. Are they both single action or double action?
@@R.P._Tactical They are single action, the hammer is internal.👍

Had to give this video a 👍🏼 just for the wallet comment alone. All kidding aside thanks for the video, today I actually just checked out the BG 2.0 really cool looking firearm. One of my wife's gun is a xds mod 2. How do you feel about that vs this as a back up, ankle or pocket?
@Barikade Hey Barikade, I've held and felt the Mod2 to be honest with you I've never shot it so can't speak on that aspect but in terms of pocket/ankle carry, it's much bigger than this bodyguard 2.0, I've been pocket carrying it for 4 days now and oh man it's so lightweight and comfortable, it's like it's hardly there.
