Seeking Seascape Photography in Pembrokeshire, Wales

- Few things better than some seascape photography in Wales. On this episode, I explore Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Pembrokeshire, Wales was a place that a lot of people on social media told me to go photograph. Then, looking at some of the locations, I was convinced. I based myself in Pembroke and used something called Trover to go and do a bit of a seascape photography treasure hunt of sorts. It was fun. My first landscape location was a place called The Green Door, which was fantastic. The light was OK, but the location was just perfect.
In the afternoon, I went farther north in Wales to a place called Whitesands Beach. It was cool, but I was a bit worried that the weather was too bland for seascape photography there. So, I moved up to Abereiddy which turned out to be a perfect location. There are so many great landscape photography locations in Wales, and this was just another one of them.
While shooting at Abereiddy, I take you through some tips on how to take seascape photography.
Tomorrow on the photography channel, I'm explore more here in Wales. I'll be vlogging this area a little bit more. Perhaps checking out some lighthouses and castles.
I live in the UK and the weather is rotten in winter, however you have just shown how you dont need "great" light or skys to get fantastic images, very inspiring. Snow in the UK now so its time for me to get up early and get out. cheers Brendan

I'm amazed at how much you can get done in the precious few moments around sunset: capture spectacular seascapes from various viewpoints, get drone footage, get B roll...scare the bejesus out of a flock of sheep. Well done!
The birds were (are) guillemots. The rocks are called Elegug Stacks: “Elegug” means guillemot in Welsh. Also, the reason why the rock formation is so similar to the formations in North Devon is that... they're on the same strata as the rocks on the other side of the Bristol Channel!

theres a good place at Black Rock picnic site, at Portskewett near Chepstow. not exactly seascapes, but you can shoot both Servern Bridges there. one at sunrise, the other at sunset. low tide is best as there are good rocks for foreground matter. you can get on the beach but that tide is one of the fastest in Europe
Great place Wales Brendon. Loved the vlog, its brilliant to see photographers not put off by the slate grey skies and occasional drizzle. Hope you avoid the extreme weather which is hitting the UK at the moment. Stay safe and warm dude.

These sheep are crazy. I can remember quite the same with a rabbit at night in the headlights of my car. As it was dark, It was staying in lights jumping. After a while, I decided to shut the lights off, get out of the car, and chase it away ;)

Great vlog and images, North Wales is stunning, Snowdonia National Park, north coast and Anglesea are gems. Lakes are also worth checking out.

I remember Abereiddy from when I was a kid on family holidays to Pembrokeshire the sand there was almost black and we would walk round and swim in the Blue Lagoon or the Dragons Pool as we used to call it.

Hey, I just have a random question just because I tried to rent a car without a credit card and you have to have one to make a deposit, I was wondering how travel photographers do that if they don't need a credit card to build their credit to buy a home or anything. How do you do it?

First guess on the "penguins" is guillemots, but I'm not a birder.
