Really hoping Phillips looks solid in the preseason; it would be nice not to have to buy another CB when he's so close to being ready.

Gray, Phillips, Bergval, Vuskovic, Soonsup-Bell, Lankshear, Hall, Donley, Dorrington, Devine along with young players like Sarr, Udogie, van de Ven, Johnson and Dragusin a good core group adding a couple a big names to the group hopefully a good future ahead

Hey guys , I have to disagree with Ben this time. I would play Gray in his best position double pivot of energetic 8’s which seems like the plan.
If you invest in a talent the priority is to accelerate the potential.
This is the most exciting preseason I can remember with all this young talent. Looking forward to it.
No mention for the standout player of the U21s last season? Donley?
According to the academy expert you guys had on the show previously, he said Dorrington with the better ball playing ability was probably ahead of Phillips. A sentiment shared by Gold apparently.

I will choose 8 to 9 players should be put into the Tottenham's 1st . Team . Spurs must gives Tyress Hall , Mikey Moore , Lankeshear , Soonsoap Bell , Jaime Doonley , Yago Santiago , Oliver Irow , Rio Kyeremarten & Callum Ollesesi . They all had showed us their qualities to up Our games . They all needs these chances with Ange Postecoglu must gives them times to Settled in the 1st. Team Squads , Bolsters their Confidents , their skills , their mindsets with strong mentality & generates them to more real Professioal Football . COYS..👍👏👏
I agree. Now is the time for them to be given a chance to step up for their growth. I think another year in u21s team won't help their development as much at this point. More minutes please or decent loans out for one or 2 of them. Also why i really want to sell the likes of gio, gil, skipp. I don't think they're good enough. WIll mean more development minutes for the younger promising talents

Seen a fair bit of Archie Gray, he is extremely competent but I don't see him as a first team player as yet, he is an unusual player in that it is not clear what his best position even is. Very comfortable on the ball though.
How can he be not be a first team player when he would have been a starter at brentford??
I think he's been signed to be back up for Porro mostly but he'll play a bit in midfield as well. Would be crazy if Gray, Bergvall & Donley play in midfield together vs some of the easier teams in Europa league next season.
Gray has said his own preferred position is in midfield. Agree with Ben that he will be seeing time at both RB and MF this season.
Centre Midfield will be his “best” position imo. He’s press-resistant already at 18 & can do just about everything. Midfield suits his game.
@davidbeeson9408 Yeah Spurs really need a number 6 & he could be the answer long term but I think for now they'll want someone with more experience. I wouldn't mind if they went for an older number 6, over 30 who wouldn't be there that long but someone the young midfielders could learn a lot from. Hojbjerg isn't a bad player but he's not suited to Ange's style of play & Spurs dropped too many points in games he started, they need a 6 who can win the ball & look to move it forwards & he very rarely does that.

On the Gold and Guest podcast they mentioned that most of the squad are starting back on Saturday.
Quite a few have been in since last friday btw, a few more came along monday and yesterday. A bunch incoming on friday as well. Official start Saturday early morning with a small introduction at breakfast and then we get going.
Man, I can't believe the new season is already here.
My five would be Lukas, Mikey, Archie, Tyrese and an outlier in Callum Olusesi. I do have to admit I like Leo Black, Oliver Irow, Rio Kyerematen and most of all Nile John as well. Also would be nice to see Lankshear, Donley and Soonsoup-Bell against Hearts and QPR to see what the next step should be with those three as well. A fair few of these young'uns will feature for sure in the two first matches as most of the senior players will just have joined training at that time with a handful few to show up just in time for the Asian part.
I'm waiting to see all the young players, but you forgot about Vuskovic

I would really like to see Lankshear, Scarlett, Santiago, Devine, Donley, Dorrington, Phillips, Gunter & Keeley go on loan to League 1 - Championship teams. Then have Moore, Gray, Bergvall & Olusesi train with the first team & hopefully get minutes in cups & Europa.

Philips out on loan one more season, I personally find Vuskovic ahead of Philips as it is. Better on the ball, better passer and a tad faster as well. I think it would be a great idea to have Philips and Dorrington out there for this season to find their legs. And preferably in Belgium like Luka or why not even the Netherlands?
Alfie Dorrington? Supposed to be ahead of Ashley Phillips in pecking order apparently.

Signing all three of them would be crazy, the amount of competition for Calafiori particularly makes it near impossible

We need to stop focusing so much on the youth side and improve the main squad. AG maybe a good signing but he won't play for us just like another Spence and Clarke.

Guys how you expect our youngsters to shine when you go and splash 30 M on Archie from Leeds , I am starting to loose faith in Ange and I am Australian because I don't see he got any plans for Spurs and keep ignoring our U21 team , the only team in my life time that I see winning a trophy 😂🎉

None of our youngsters have played a whole professional season. Sure they might get these games here and there but playing a whole season as a starter in championship is a big thing for a 18 y/o. We send our youngsters on loan to get those kind of experience and come back to us to fit in our starting 11. So Archie can especially fit into our lineup. Also ange does play our youngsters like Mickey moore. It's just the jump from u21 to Prem is alot bigger than championship to Prem, only few players can handle that like mainoo
