    Well, I haven't been able to put the AEB-l version to the true test yet, but the preliminary results are showing a definite cutting improvement with the AEB-l version. This knife is fantastic.

    This knife design is doing incredibly well. This AEB-L option is a huge plus for a lot of different reasons. I’m looking forward to seeing what this year brings to WC Knives llc. All it takes is for people to get one of Williams knives in their hands and it’s all over. Great job my friend!

    I was glad to see you "field sharpen" your knife after rough use. If a knife cannot be field sharpened fairly quickly I don't want it. Your knife was impressive in toughness and being able to sharpen so easily. At 11.5 degrees per side, I know it is sharp. The fact that it didn't roll/chip was impressive. Great Job!

    The testing is very impressive! I have enjoyed testing the 01 version myself and spent the day with it in the woods yesterday. The design is so versatile and this AEB-L seems to be a fantastic option for a fantastic design. Happy New Year William! No doubt 2019 will bring you continued success.

    That's very good! A survival knife should be stainless. AEB-L is a good choice since it's quite easy to sharpen. I'm sure it will be much appreciated.

    I’d still prefer O1 over AEB-L, only because it’s serves me so well. It’s been tested through and through and I have no complaints with O1, so no need in Switching.

    Hi William, great job on another inspiring achievement! Because it's a stainless, will it not throw sparks from a ferro rod; or work like flint and steel? Obviously I have no experience with either of these fire starting methods, just a question. Thanks

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      1banjrpkr it will not throw sparks with a rock like flint and steel but anything with a sharp edge will work with a fero rod, even glass.

    Goes to show like I tell alot of people asking about steel. In normal even pretty harsh conditions it isn't what steel it is. It is the maker and the treat. I will end up with a wcsk one of these days just gotta find someone to trade out of it. Only been a year and can't find anyone yet.

    if I understood correctly from Blackie's channel there are slight differences between model A,B,C - Am I mistaken and if not does anyone online know the differences?

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A, B and C Blackie is talking about were prototype’s during R & D tested several years back. Prototype C was the final design that became the base model that has a B designation at the end of the serial number. Custom build models like the 3v limited run available at the end of this week that will be listed on my available custom knives webpage will have a C designation at the end of the serial number. Hope this explains it.

    I'd rather have a steel that has real good edge retention and is easy to get an edge back on than one with great edge retention but takes a long time to get the edge back. I think most woodmen would be the same way.
