Is it so hard for tutorials to be just like this? Quick, to the point and helpful! Great one!
FOR REAL
Seconded! Just what I needed. I'm not an "influencer" lol but I logged into TH-cam anyway just to give it a Like.
Such a lovely tutorial, a smiley face, an actual solution and down to the point without wasting our time. Thanks!
I’m doing it now - love your style and presentation.
Straight to the point - no extra waffle…!
Finally a simple video, thank you!
Straight to the point. Great video
Thanks for this useful tip. Finally, something that works and not creating too much mess.
Best tutorial I have ever seen for anything. I very much appreciate it!
Thank you sooo much!! I had an uneven burn due to the candles irregular shape and this worked!!!
Thank you!!! It’s the little things in life that make me so happy!
trying it out right now! very helpful!
I just tried it & it worked!!! It took about 30m to fix my problem but unfortunately when I lit the candle the next day the problem started again. Sooo I just did the hack again
Thank you so much. It is the best and quickest tutorial ever🤩
Thanks! The problem when I do that is the extra melting wax builds up and drowns the wick which then extinguished before the process is complete. Any tips?
Pour out the extra wax when it's hot! Only way to fix it really.
Thank you for the informative and short video :)
Hello do i have 2 put the foil round everytime i light my candle or just for the 1st light
But if the wick is short, the added melted wax snuffs the wick?
Do you have any suggestions about a tunneling candle with a very short wick? I tried to even out the wax with a wick that is half way burnt though the candle and not only made too much of a mushy mess, but also broke a part of the wick and now it is too short. Can i simply put a wick right inside of the candle while the wax is still mushy and let the candle burn through properly, or do i need to do something else?
Do I need to burn the candle entirely to a flat surface every time I light it?
Meeyah, I have the exact same question.
I have some candles that always tunnel no matter what. I periodically make them flat again with this technique or put them in the oven at 200°, but then when I burn them again, they still just tunnel.
Ideally, yes
@@phototristanthat means the wicks are too small for the amount of wax trying to be burnt..
Ok I’ll try it. Thanks
Brilliant thanks, where's that why candle!!
As soon as I saw the tinfoil I was like she’s a genius!
What if the wick is really short to trim? I think I might’ve trimmed it too short which caused the tunneling
Can was be reused?
will have to see if that works, i usually just boil the container and transfer the wax into a citrus peel
Great video and not 10 minutes and more long!
But as a business owner how do you stop it from doing this without burning it?
What if the candle flame just diminishes by itself? I can't do this method because my flame keeps going out
Thank you ❤
I have a candle that was tunneling and I didn’t fix it before the wick burned to the bottom. Now there’s a good amount of wax left on the sides. Best suggestions for how to save and use the remaining wax when there’s no more wick?
You can set the candle in a pot of water and bring to a simmer to melt the wax, but you'll need another vessel with a wick to pour it into. I bought a package of wicks from michael's and used an empty candle.
Use paper wick it works well
I continue to read such low iq comments on TH-cam day after day after day. And it truly is sad how dumb soceity has become. Like you couldn’t of came up with a simple way to scrape all the wax out and put on a small pot on very low heat on stove? People’s ability to look at a problem situation and come up with a solution for it is deteriorating so fast…
Thank you, ma'am!
Okay but how to prevent this from happening in the first place? My wife just started making homemade soy candles and most of them burn perfectly except for a few the tunnel and go out.
Yes this works great! Where can I buy the artwork that’s behind you???
P.S. It took only 20 minutes for the sides of the wax to melt away for me. 😃
Cool!
Does not work for Bath & Body Works candles😞
And if that buries the wick?
Pour out some of the wax (just a little) though there is such a thing as 'candle memory' (look it up it's really interesting).
