Rather than making the loop just half a wrap and pulling it through from the bottom as you demonstrated, I have completed the second wrap and pushed my loop through the top as you would in a figure eight. I don't know which is best, but my way makes a neater-looking knot.
Assuming I understand what you are saying… And we all know that assumption is the mother of all fuckups… but if you keep going around and go in from the top it is not an Figure of Nine knot, but a Figure of Ten. (I’m not kidding)
Hi Alex. what do you think of the knot...double bulin. is it approved as a knot for anchor points? breaking load too low? Is it better to use the rabbit ear knot for larger loads? i always look forward to monday, wednesday and friday, i.e. your videos. Thanks for videos and information.
Great question. Under irata it is not approved as an anchor knot. However, it can be a great knot for certain uses and it is easy to undo after heavy loading.
