- Written over 1500 years by 40 authors in three languages, yet maintaining ONE consistent, reliable story.
The Bible is worthy of the trust of our lives more than any other book in the world.
So are you following it in your life?
I the church I grew up in, we had a custom where at the beginning of every sermon, the pastor would remind us of the church’s belief about the Bible: that it is inspired, eternal, and true. Because of that belief, we would lift our Bibles up into the air. The pastor describes this as “a moment of oddity that shapes our identity as a community”; we don’t have life figured out, but we know Who does, and we’re eager to surrender to the authority of His Word and for its power to be let loose in our lives.
Love the togetherness❤
If it's true you'd need to explain why there are a number if contradictions and mistakes.
@@MoroccanMoorname them lol.
@@mr.f6912 Judas dies in two different ways and spend his silver in two different ways.
Show me with source material from the bible how this can be explained?
I have plenty more for you.
@@MoroccanMoor Concerning how Judas died, here is a simple reconciliation of the facts: Judas hanged himself in the potter’s field (Matthew 27:5), and that is how he died. Then, after his body had begun to decay and bloat, the rope broke, or the branch of the tree he was using broke, and his body fell, bursting open on the land of the potter’s field (Acts 1:18-19). Note that Luke does not say that Judas died from the fall, only that his body fell. The Acts passage presumes Judas’s hanging, as a man falling down in a field does not normally result in his body bursting open. Only decomposition and a fall from a height could cause a body to burst open. So Matthew mentions the actual cause of death, and Luke focuses more on the horror surrounding it.
Concerning who paid for the field, here are two possible ways to reconcile the facts: 1) Judas was promised the thirty pieces of silver several days before Jesus’ arrest (Mark 14:11). Sometime during the days leading up to his betrayal of Jesus, Judas made arrangements to purchase a field, although no money had yet been transferred. After the deed was done, Judas was paid, but he then returned the money to the chief priests. The priests, who considered the silver to be blood money, completed the transaction that Judas had begun and bought the field. 2) When Judas threw the thirty pieces of silver down, the priests took the money and used it to buy the potter’s field (Matthew 27:7). Judas may not have purchased the field personally, but he provided the money for the transaction and could then be said to be the purchaser.
Only the true God can give accurate future prophesy predictions. The prophets of the Bible have been true and never wrong. Look at book of Daniel with 4 accurate future empire predictions fulfilled as described (Babylon as the lion, medo Persian as the bear, Alexander the Great Greece as Leopard, Roman Empire beast) each with horn (great leader) as described, heads for kingdom subdivisions as described), each empire moved like other bible passages referencing these animals (leopard fast as Alexander the Great made fast conquest in 4 years). Book of Daniel also gave perfect time prediction from temple in Israel being rebuilt until the coming of our savior Jesus, the son of God. Isaiah 53 gave perfect prediction of the savior suffering and crucified. Look at Revelation predictions some of which have already occurred since it was written. Count the number of the beast (Latin title of pope Vicarius Filii Dei and add Roman numerals in the pope Latin title adds to 666), a man that is Not a representative of God and claims can forgive sins who changed sabbath worship to Sunday changing times, a little horn changing times and speaking blasphemies (claiming to be God or power to forgive sins) that persecuted the saints with inquisitions, and persecuting those who stood up for bible truth. look at what they did to person that translated bible to English. So much more to say.
Amen
AMEN, God preserves His word. Im scared of idolising the Bible though as a history book as ive done in the past
As followers of Christ, we must praise our God thru his spirit Jesus Christ. Knowing God is amazing because he loves me before I knew him. And Loves each of us individually as well.
exactly!
Exactly ! 🎉❤

The argument that we believe, or don’t even question, the histories told in other books that are far less reliable is a really good one.
That’s a horrible argument. If you are not critically analyzing EVERYTHING piece of information you encounter then you are not in any position to make solid arguments about anything. Seems to me that the religious believe things in the Bible without questioning them no matter how fantastical. Read the bibe objectively truly without bias you would think,‘okay, interesting sci-fi fantasy. Now back to reality.
Except for all stuff the Church removed because it didn't fit their agenda.
Treating scripture as history and scientific literature is to miss the point and this behavior comes down to boundary maintainance of institutional and cultural boundaries.
Why does everyone say "over 40 authors"... 41? 50?...
#Facts
Absolutely true ❤
AMEN! 🙏
Hmmmmm what about the library of Alexandria ?
So the library of alexandria wasn't really that important. The myth that it was comes from Carl Sagan (who was a good astronomer, however he was not a historian).
The library of Alexander died due to shortage of funds by the time of emperor diocletian , a pagan emperor
All of these arguments could be made for the Vedas.
Us jews would disagree. The muslims most definitely do.
cool. so now research it and put your opinion aside and seek Truth :)
He loves you ya know
Isn't the torah part of the bible. So I don't know what you mean by saying that the Jews will disagree.
Jesus is king. Yeshua hamashiach
Jesus Christ Saves and He truly Loves you, repent and believe in the gospel, GOD bless!!! ✝️❤️♾️
Yes, we definitely do.
All those different bible authors contradict each other. Look it up.
Nope, just read it bro. Not a single contradiction, not if you read them with context and understanding of word choice/literary analysis
You're talking about the old testament, which is indeed a reliable history book, but only half the BIble. The new testament is just pure jesus fantasy.
If old testament is reliable, the new testament is more so
he's also talking about the new testament actually
Praise the Lord
