@@doncasto8520 "only 71%"... since when is 71% a low grade? Beside, this IS an indie movie. It was made with only 15 millions (just to compare: Poor Things costed more than the double), which means that all the 'big stars' did not get a big paycheck and they just wanted to work on a small, indie, and experimental movie from one of the major directors of this time. I recommend to go to watch it at the theatre, because the movie industry NEEDS this kind of movies. If movies like this flop, then less movies like this will be made, which means that there will be less money for the "real good" indie movies out there (assuming that Kinds of Kindness is not "a really good indie movie").

Dune part 2 Shattared people expectations
LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS!
I hate that the obvious movies like Kinds of Kindness because some of those people have been nominated before get in. I would love to see some good movies like LaRoy, Texas; Last Stop In Yuma County, and even Thelma get some Oscar love. But you're right, there hasn't been a lot going on in the theaters lately.
Don't you think that Kinds of Kindness is an excellent movie??
@@vins1979 I can't say because it's only in two theaters in the next town and not convenient to me. It only has a 71% score on Rotten Tomatoes so I'll probably wait for streaming. My point being it's getting all this buzz on star power when there are some real good indie movies out there that might be better.
So far, I'm not sure who the Awards favorites will be - for now it looks like maybe Dune 2 and The Challenegers and later maybe Joker 2, Anora, A Real Pain, Nosferatu or Here. It would be cool if Nosferatu or MaXXXine get some recognition. From movies without a release date I could see The Apprentice, Blitz, Emilia Perez, Polaris, Grand Tour or The Seed of the Sacred Fig have a chance. With the Hollywood strikes postponing a lot of movies to 2025, I would expect a lot of foreign films in the running this year.
Love the channel did you film classes
Inside out 2 may be a screenplay nomination. This movie has made a billion dollars
i am manifesting zendaya an oscar nomination for best actress this year
Not happening
Maybe a globe glove nomination
Civil War better get sound
It will be absolutely criminal if Zendaya doesn't get a Best Actress nomination.
Can't feel the love for Dune Part Two as it was not as strong as the first part.
Way better reviews and better box office. If anything it is stronger than the first film. Come on now
Dune II... so Boring!!!
Against all odds holding out for a Best Actress nom for Kirsten Dunst 🤞
Dune II... so biring.
I totally agree: boring epic for grown children
Not only I disagree but you also mistyped
@@savvastoynoysidis360 dude, commenting on others' typos! seriously, are we in 2009?
Barbie shouldn’t have been considered tbh
Toy Story 4 > Inside out 2 though
Dune Part 2 most overrated movie of 2024 so far. Kinds of Kindness should get 0 nominations, it was terrible. Inside Out 2 will get a nomination, but it is not win worthy in my opinion. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was average, do not know about VFX though. Weak year for Oscar movies so far, but good movies like Godzilla x Kong, Argylle, Madame Web, Daddio, One Life, Young Woman & the Sea exist.
Civil war was rubbish couldn’t believe A24 gave the go for that
Challengers is a golden globes movie. They love movie stars. Zendaya is a movie same with the 2 lead actors
this year has been so long i forgot dune 2 came out THIS year. my dream acting noms would be rebecca and austin
The Oscar's are totally irrelevant. The whole thing is nothing but Hollywood's annual self-congratulatory frenzy.
So what's relevant in your opinion
Wow what an original take you got there
Are you familiar with the concept of an award show?
Hit Man should be nominated for pic & actor
So far Civil War is my favorite of the year.
