This is my new favourite look for Boba. The black jumpsuit, with non baggy black trousers, waist cape and deep green repaint of his armor looks amazing imo. RoTJ Boba will always have a place in my heart, but this is the quintessential look for him now.

I'm REALLY liking this look! The new details and colors favor him quite a bit. Love the boot spat color against the black and pop of yellow too. Great review, Justin.
For the grappling line shooting pose, you could just turn his hand 180 degrees and have the palm facing up and now it's kind of like a web shooting Spidey pose. It actually makes sense too, because once it grapples onto something, you're going to want to grab the line, right? If his palm is facing upwards, he can grab it right away. Makes sense to me at least, haha.
Sick fig. Always been a fan of Boba. I also genuinely really enjoyed book of boba. I tend to look at the positives rather than negatives. The tusken arc was unreal to me and boba riding a rancor is probably the coolest thing ever💀. Soundtrack is also amazing
Several things: 1. Seriously no crotch stand again?! What is Hot Toys thinking?! I’ve seen tons of comments from collectors online lately where their figures fell over and broke because these sand displays didn’t come with those stands! 2. Awesome to see they adapted how the jet pack attaches from the Quarter scale version. 3. Extremely relieved the Gaffi isn’t attached via a small delicate string like in the robed version. 4. Wish he came with some knee darts like the recovered armor version or better yet a rocket firing effect for his left gauntlet since we’ve seen him use it multiple times in the show. 5. Should’ve come with a melon. 6. So incredible you actually got to meet Temuera.

Comparing some screenshots of Boba and Fennec from the show the height difference seems to be pretty close where Fennec's shoulder lines up with the middle detail of Boba's chest armor.
I personally prefer the Mando season 2 “Boba Fresh” with the cleaner paint and the more classic helmet. Has a sorta “angel of death vibe”. But I do like this quite a lot. They REALLY should’ve done a headsculpt based on how he looked in the finale of BoBF honestly
I recently got Boba with the throne and as a fan I feel like I want this one too now ! 😂 He's always been my favourite character in Star Wars. Chewie as well ! Now my question is : Where is Santo ? Hot Toys come on, We absolutely need the Black Krrsantan too ! A grail for me, I really hope to see him again in future episodes as well... I have spoken.
I think if The Book of Boba Fett was 8 episodes, it could've been better. I did love how they went into how he survived the Sarlac Pit, to his appearance in The Mandalorian.
I, like a lot of SW fans, didn’t like BoBF. But I loved his look in the series! He looked way more badass in his black robes and repainted armour than he did in the original trilogy!

I'm sick of the stupid notion that boba got nerfed in his own show. Just because he wasnt given a million action scenes doesnt mean he didnt still kick ass when he needed to
He didn’t though, he bumbled around between bacta tank sessions. It’s not about the number of action scenes but the quality of them. Not to mention the writing was all over the place. It’s fine if you like it however there are undeniable differences between his mando appearance and his own show

And apart from that, if you dont like the action sequences and writing that's fine but you specifically said that boba was "nerfed". But there's no action scene in the show that indicates that Boba was less skilled at killing than he was before. And even if there were any, he's been healing from bacta so that's why he'd be weaker. And it's not like Boba's action scene in that Mandalorian season 2 episode supports the argument that he was somehow stronger before BOBF because in that fight the stormtroopers did literally nothing except run at him and get shot.

Oh um, that one would literally look like a giant compared to the 1/6 scale, there is no need to compare them imo. Most folks would go with what scale they are collecting
HeyJustin, as a first time collecter with a budget of around $200-$250, what should I get. I don’t care if it’s used or not, but I’m more about overall presence and visually appealing.
Depends what you like. If it’s Star Wars I’d suggest some Darth Vader, since they’ve made many and there’s probably one for around that price. If you’re into MCU I’d go with a Captain America or Iron Man. Probably the endgame versions, I have a friend who has the endgame cp and he’s pretty cool. But just get what you want, really. It’s your collection and you can do it your way. Happy collecting!
I have this guy on preorder from Toys Wonderland based on your recommendation and am pretty nervous with the horror stories I have read regarding them.

Hows it, not sure if you realised but just got this sweet figure and you can detach and reattach the plate armour on his chest and abb section which is super cool as can reposition it as suits mine came a bit squewiff and was super stoked I could change and set it as I think looks best it's a first and shame not all Bobas have it as some are a little of set, anyways it has velcro now and you can play that little bit more oh yees! It now looks even sweeter than before, thanks again for another great vid....Keep it up my man.
I believe they didn't include a head sculpt here because they are saving that for yet another Boba Fett release. For this figure, you need an unscarred post-bacta tank healed head. You got this from the 1/4 scale Boba Fett, but a;; the 1/6 sculpts thus far are scarred. Maybe they anticipated yet another release and the motivation for us to get it would be to finally get the 1/6 healed head. I'm glad the scarred head sculpt fits, but it's not screen-accurate. Personally, I don't care about screen accuracy if something looks great, but I know some people do care. Overall, a great looking figure. I'm kicking myself for not pre-ordering it. At the time, I thought to myself, "No head sculpt? No thanks." Oh well. Now I want it.
the return of the sandy footprint base!!!! one more to add to the collection! (and yes, it is time to stop providing this base, can someone sneak into the factories and destroy the molds?). So it seems Boba spent some time between Bacta sessions sanding down and smoothing down the paint on his armor before repainting it. hmm

I preordered this way back, then I watched Book of Boba Fett and did not like it at all. I did meet Temuera Morrison a couple of months ago though and he was great, so for that I welcome this figure. The fact it looks awesome helps too.

I ended up changing the way I present Boba because of the Mando version, I have that version displaying his head sculpt and only in the robes. When he’s in his armour I always have the helmet on. I Passed on all the Disney stuff. I bought the original 1/4 scale with the sail barge from Return of the Jedi to have a definitive version of him this is ok I guess but how many mandolore suits do I need just one.
I love Boba's redesign in the Mando/BoBF shows, and I, ideally, wanted one with a headsculpt. However, I wanted the repainted armor, and did not have space or funds for the big throne set. So, I hoped this release would have a headsculpt. Nope. I decided to suck it up and just get the standard Mando repaint armor Fett without the head, and honestly I have no regrets. Its a shame this one didn't include it, Hot Toys should have known it would have harmed sales. Hot Toys are supposed to be the ULTIMATE versions of characters, so why do the HT Bobas not have Tem heads while even Hasbro and Lego Fetts do?? Regardless, great review as always!

Great review. I have to disagree with you on the height difference with Boba and Fennec. If the show itself is showing the height difference between the characters (not the actors) then its pretty accurate. In the show yeaaaa HT may have given Boba a 1/2 in to an inch maybe extra on Fennec (non perve statement) but overall its pretty on point. That's just me. I wanted to get this Boba but passed on it and went w/ Boba on Throne just cause this Boba didnt have a head sculpt. Why it didnt..I guess cost...but still. His scars were healed more from Boba on throne sculpt. eh. oh well. Thanks as always for vid!

Like you, I'm all in on Boba Fett...Can't help it haha...I love so many things about hot toys but one thing I cannot stand... something that REALLY actually makes me mad is the fact that so many of these current Fett/Mandalorian style hot toys come with the flight pole only. The crotch grabber has to be one of the most produced pieces of hot toy's arsenal and I have no idea why they don't add it in every hot toys that comes with this flight pole. I often prefer to display them standing.
Are you aware of Toys Wonderlands problems? I ordered a hot toy from Toys Wonderland because you always mention you get yours from them. I've ordered an in-stock item and its been over 2 weeks and it still hasn't shipped. They also wont respond to my emails.
Man it really is disappointing that this doesn't come with a headsculpt. If it does, i would have got it day one, unlike now i have to decide whether i want the repaint look from Mandalorian season 2 or this one
Hey I just got this today. After posing it a bit, I realized all the armor pieces are attached to the fabric with little tiny velcro. And I could remove all the green armor bits, even the back plate and adjust them exactly how I want it. I noticed in most video reviews, the plate on his right chest is always a tiny bit higher. Is this velcro thing common for all Hot Toys Boba figures? This is my first one so just curious. Would appreciate if anyone with the repaint armor or any other recent ones could let me know. Coz then I could pick up any others with this velcro option to mix and match some armors.
Hot Toys must be doing this on purpose, not giving you a major accessory that was in a previous version just so you would buy more figures. I don't see any other possible reason, since for most of the show he has the helmet off.

TBH the lack of a head sculpt was the reason I didn't get this one. At this point in the story he was fully healed so a new sculpt to me is a must.

I wanted to get this Boba but passed on it and went w/ Boba on Throne just cause this Boba didnt have a head sculpt. Why it didnt..I guess cost...but still. His scars were healed more from Boba on throne sculpt. eh. oh well.

Like you, I'm all in on Boba Fett...Can't help it haha...I love so many things about hot toys but one thing I cannot stand... something that REALLY actually makes me mad is the fact that so many of these current Fett/Mandalorian style hot toys come with the flight pole only. The crotch grabber has to be one of the most produced pieces of hot toy's arsenal and I have no idea why they don't add it in every hot toys that comes with this flight pole. I often prefer to display them standing.

So apparently the satin material is to prevent the kama from being worn down. I could be wrong.

Man it really is disappointing that this doesn't come with a headsculpt. If it does, i would have got it day one, unlike now i have to decide whether i want the repaint look from Mandalorian season 2 or this one

Hey I just got this today. After posing it a bit, I realized all the armor pieces are attached to the fabric with little tiny velcro. And I could remove all the green armor bits, even the back plate and adjust them exactly how I want it. I noticed in most video reviews, the plate on his right chest is always a tiny bit higher. Is this velcro thing common for all Hot Toys Boba figures? This is my first one so just curious. Would appreciate if anyone with the repaint armor or any other recent ones could let me know. Coz then I could pick up any others with this velcro option to mix and match some armors.
Yeah you can adjust them on this guy. It is not on the older OT ones

Hot Toys must be doing this on purpose, not giving you a major accessory that was in a previous version just so you would buy more figures. I don't see any other possible reason, since for most of the show he has the helmet off.
