Hey I just got this today. After posing it a bit, I realized all the armor pieces are attached to the fabric with little tiny velcro. And I could remove all the green armor bits, even the back plate and adjust them exactly how I want it. I noticed in most video reviews, the plate on his right chest is always a tiny bit higher. Is this velcro thing common for all Hot Toys Boba figures? This is my first one so just curious. Would appreciate if anyone with the repaint armor or any other recent ones could let me know. Coz then I could pick up any others with this velcro option to mix and match some armors.
I think I prefer the Repaint version the most. I’m really not a fan of the taller, more narrow helmet and those spats stick out like a sore thumb. I really wish they actually went for more of a Pre-Production look with his repaint. That’s my favorite look of all, with the mismatched gauntlets and huge flamethrower nozzle.
Mine arrived 2 days ago, and I love it! Only real negative for me was that they didn't include the Tamura Morrison headsculpt with this figure! The helmet has a full interior, so it seems the figure should have had the headsculpt! I don't buy several of the same figure, so I am glad I picked up the headsculpt from a loose parts vendor.
I'm getting mine from Pop Collectibles in the next couple of days. Looks like a solid figure. I love the new helmet design and the paint applications. Thank goodness it included the sand base!
This goes for the show as well but I just don't like the balance of especially the helmet. Slimming down the sides works with Mando as the T visor narrows on that one, but keeping it wide here while slimming the sides to vertical makes it look all a bit vertically stretched. And considering the blocking and proportions with the black undersuit makes the body so much more stocky-looking (which is fine), the old/wider "bucket" version would have looked so much better imo. Like the colour of the new armour much more than the "freshly painted" version, but skinny tall helmet vs body gets into dork-o-rama 1st gen clones for me. And you know how they fell over themselves trying to correct that both with updated helmets and markings and all...
Are you able to use the knee rockets from previous figures on this one? This might be my next pickup as I don’t have a boba fett yet and could get the knee rockets pre-owned

ESB Fett will always be the superior Fett, can't beat the classics but the Post-Sarlacc Battle damaged Fett is a close second of those four. Last time he was cool. I wish the show wasn't so lame, now all I see is Mickey Mouse when I see the current design. I think it's the black with the yellowish orange colors and the maroon combined. He's been disneyified both as a character and fashion wise lol. Plus his jetpack looks tacky with the blue and green mix. Should've been one or the other lol. Kinda glad I passed, awesome review tho.
Well this will be on my list for sure. Just purchased Jango Fett since he’s my favorite character. Just begun the collection. Adding yet another expensive hobby besides photography, Car mods, and a family…
My favorite Star Wars character is Boba Fett. Of course I’m buying every single one made. We definitely deserved better for his show. For a character with deep lore in the comics and for Disney to rip off his “bad ass” vibe and pass it to Mando really stings. Fett deserves way more respect and better writing. Not some half assed cash grab smh. Still love the design so very excited for this figure
As a massive Boba Fett fan myself, I think Boba was done justice in the finale of his own show. I mean, not even talking about what he did in Mando Season 2, look at what he accomplished in Episode 7 of Book of Boba: - he defeated multiple Pyke squads with Mando providing some backup, - he came in riding a Rancor and destroyed Scorpeneks and Pykes as well, and - he managed to defeat Cad Bane in single combat. Also don't forget that: Episode 1: he holds an electric baton with his bare hands, disintegrates an assassin and slays that Sand Ape with nothing but his own metal chain. Episode 2: completely destroys some Nikto gang bikers in Tosche station with his gaffi stick and a rifle. Episode 4: mercilessly mows down another Squad of the same Nikto gang He may do significantly less than Mando, who's the nexus point for all these characters. But when he appears, he MEANS BUSINESS. He kicks serious ass.
Should've came with a headsculpt. He didn't have a helmet for the majority of the series. I don't have a Boba Fett in the collection....if i had to choose 1 it would 100% be ESB Fett.
This is what’s difficult. I have this ordered but I am confused if I want it or not, it’s the same one as the previous but with some little changes and minor additions. So hard to decide.
I don't have any Fetts at the moment, the lack of head sculpt and flame effect plugging into the left instead of right, makes me want to pass on this version, and go for the throne version instead.
Still the Post-Sarlacc Fett for me. And the black suit Boba. I like this one though. Will not get it from Hot Toys, but make it myself in a different scale (larger).
This was a great video as always , I just made my first hot toys video after getting my first. it’s a mandalorian and child although I ordered Boba Fett and his throne I just haven’t received it yet. Keep up the amazing work and I can’t wait to see how your collection grows.
I definitely prefer this look for Boba, with the black robes/pants. But the thing about the Disney era Boba though is that they did some weird aspect ratio shit to his helmet so it doesn't flare out anymore. That keeps messing with me because it doesn't look as good as the older helmet.
He was horrible in the show. They portrait him as a good and wise old guy. Boba Fett wasn't a good guy. He was a head hunter. He was great in Mandalorian Season 2 PS: He was looking for this armor all over the place and when he finally gets it he decide to walk around without helmet.... that's some horrible writing!

For me it’s hard to like this version of Boba as the show was complete trash imo. I’d much prefer to buy one from Empire or ROTJ, without this having to put a bad taste in my mouth.

The spats are on the wrong legs the zip and straps should be on the inside, they are easy to swap over though.
Throne is the best

Just when you thought you have the ultimate Boba they go and screw it up by not adding fist hands & a head sculpt lol but overall it’s pretty awesome.

I like this design, apart from the silly oversized buttflap. He'd look better in an OT style flight suit/cargo pants, in black.
