Watched the video. Bought the kit from the amazon address at the end. It was delivered next day and problem fixed. No mess. Very simple. Remember the kitchen roll place under the cartridge carrier. From totally blocked with cleaning totally failing to total success. Thanks.
Thanks for the video Brandon. I guess your method is for heavily clogged printer heads. I tried the built-in head clean, under the maintenance menu, about three times and it worked. Cheers!
This pointed me to the problem so thank you!!! I had replaced an ink cartridge at first like an idiot. However I did not have to do all this, just did the built in self cleaning function 3 times and it worked like a charm. Thanks again!
Saved me buying a new printer. Had to flush out twice and do several self cleanings but solution fixed a completely blocked black ink head on a printer that had been sat over 2 years since last use. Thanks.
Saved me from having to replace my basically brand new Epson 2720! Thank you so much for this! I didn’t even have to heat it up and used the brand called spaceink from Amazon and forced it through the nozzle and on my second head cleaning viola! I did also have to buy a reset code for my inkpad replacement after running a power cleaning when I thought that might fix it but now thanks to this solution I shouldn’t ever have to do that again! ❤
Thanks, Brandon! It took a while, but now I know what to do, and plan to clean the printer head with each change of cartridges. Also: I won't purchase off-brand cartridges in the future. 🤔
Great information. Most of my issues were my own fault for not cleaning print heads on a regular basis until it got to the point it was so bad that it took 2 days to at least readable again. Getting this will be my next step.
@ThePrinterGuy - I had my printer in storage for three years because of living out of the country… I think clogged nozzles are the issue I’m encountering. Do you think this will work? Or should I just scrap the printer and get a new printer?
Black would barely print. Watched the video and got the kit. Lots of resistance on injection that has gotten slightly better (and soaks the towel underneath). Tried to print after allowing 24 hour dry. Now no black ink prints. Heated fluid and flushed again and will leave tube attached with fluid (still have to use force to inject). Now I need to buy more cleaning fluid. Also bought new cartridges because my colors are also out (after doing self cleaning). Magenta is equally difficult to inject but still prints. Should I keep trying?
I purchased that nozzle printhead cleaning kit. I did cleaned the nozzle on my printer and wow, the solution did it job on unclogging the nozzle printhead. I've followed the directions on the cleaning kit. I am doing printhead cleaning right now. I realized that the all the colors came back except for Magenta. I've changed the magenta ink cartridge to see if that will help return the color. But is still the same. I''ve done print head cleaning many times and did the nozzle check pattern check and the result is the same. The magenta hasn't come back yet. What should I do?
After manually ran the solutions through all the ink ports on WF-3620, it is printing blanks only now with the same ink cartridge. Can you tell me what might of happened? Thanks
(Late Reply) After cleaning the ink has to be prime in a way. Just run a couple nozzle checks until you finally have color printing out. I have done this method with my other printer in the past and that seemed to fix the issue.
Nicely explained. Detailed enough, but not too much (I like how you just stopped at the 'Black' cartridge cleaning...because it's the same procedure for the other 3). I had already purchased the 'Cleaning Kit' from Amazon; next time I'd use your links here. Nice job, thank you! Do you have Amazon link somewhere to purchase set of Cartridges for the Epson WorkForce 845?
I did this and it worked... but only after I did 7, I repeat 7, printer head cleanings. Note, after doing it a second time the error message sait not to do it more but I went out and came back in and kept trying. The 6th time showed 95 % clean (from about 30% after 5th time) but the 7th time showed 99% good. As with others I thought I might have to buy a new printer but this worked!
I picked up WF-7720 used for fair price, it was standing in some ones storage for a year based in last print log. The strange thing was only Cyan and Black was fully dried up not Magenta or Yellow. I tried flushing it with various liquids suitable for printheads, got flow and it prints 80% of black and 70% of Cyan MY is 100%, i tried everything so far would be better to get new head for 30£ or try to still flush ?
I put in brand new cartridge, Epson brand so no problem....it accepted it so all was well. 10 mins later it says cartridge empty and to replace. Is this a clogged ink head?
I did your process but after turning the printer back on I get an error saying "Cannot recognize ink cartridges." This is for all 4 cartridges. I tried re-inserting them and making sure they are clicked in there tight - no luck. I shut down and unplugged for a few minutes to try and restart - no luck. I went into the system admin settings and did a factory reset - no luck. I am at a loss. Any ideas? TIA.
Update: I left the printer unplugged from the wall overnight to let it fully reset. The next morning it worked, but still with a little more troubleshooting. It is working correctly now!
I tried to unclog my print head but I can't get any fluid into the magenta port....there's so much resistance. I let the warmed solution sit on the nozzle overnight but it is still not moving at all. What can I do?
Hi Teresa, leave the warmed solution attached with the silicone tubing and syringe overnight and come back the next day to try again. I have had this exact situation and continuous pressure eventually will break that blockage.

Hi there, I know your question was for him, but maybe I could help. Your printer definitely sounds clogged. What you described was exactly how my inkjet printer got clogged lol. I also had to wait to get new ink, and by the time I got refills, the printheads were all dried up. Inkjet printers require you to print periodically because the ink pushing through is what keeps them from drying up and clogging. In the long run, laserjet printers are supposed to be more economical despite having pricey toner.
