I like this, because she dose not try to turn it into a 20 min marathon, some videos they chop potatoes for almost 5 min. ????? This lady understands that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
I just served this to my husband ,and he asked me what I put in it.He loves it.I rarely cook from scratch(embarassed),thank god this is a winner for him.First time lol.Thank you so much for the recipe
What a refreshing change to see a stew cooked without tin-loads of tomatoes! I’m so sick of virtually every recipe for soup, stew, hotpot or casserole featuring tomatoes, so thank you very much.
But she literally adds tinned tomatoes at 1:30 ? If you cook a bigger portion you'd use more but you do need tomatoes to add acidity in stews or they will taste bland
Honestly this recipe doesn't even need tomatoes. Just add a punch more beed bouillon or stock. If you want a creamy kick, add a touch of heavy cream. This recipe can go in many ways if you don't like something. ❤
How you manage to make your videos short and so detailed is the most amazing thing for me. Plus, your voice is so simple and natural. Go girl!!! A big fan
Excellent and simple recipe. I used a finely diced orange bell pepper instead of carrots, and rotel tomatoes w/chilis. It's easy to use whatever seasonings you like with this recipe. I used New Mexico Chile powder, garlic and onion powder, tumeric, paprika, black pepper and a little enchilada seasoning. Simmer till it thickens. It smells AMAZING ! I'm going to serve it with corn and flour tortillas and sour cream. Of course rice and beans and salsa would go great for a big group of hungry people. This is a keeper !
Wow this is unbelievably good. I think the cumin powder is the extra tasty secret. Only thing I did differently was brown the mince first and drain off the liquid to avoid that boiled flavor, then start the onions and garlic with mince set aside.
You’re supposed to cook the mince until the water evaporates like she said in the video. This dish was bland to me surprisingly and the beef stock is needed
@@SPASPAWIZ As an Irish person where beef stew originates from I can tell you, you don’t necessarily need to evaporate the water. There’s lots of juices in that water. Original Irish beef or Lamb stew doesn’t have beef stock in it. We keep it plain and simple. Herbs, onions, garlic, carrots, beef or lamb, salt, pepper.
@@harryocallaghan8082 evaporating the water concentrates the flavor. The water evaporates and the solids and flavor and left. Doesn’t matter what country you come from if you have culinary knowledge
Tried this recipe for the first time with minced pork & turned out amazing! I did however bake my carrots & potatoes beforehand & then added them while cooking. I also added some celery in place of peas. This recipe is definitely making it onto my comfort food list. Thank you for sharing!
The beauty of simple recipes like this one is that they can be modified to suit your cupboard. I would suggest adding a tin of baked beans to make additional quantities. Freeze anything left over.
@@stellasakalwizhi3139 boil the potatoes first I would imagine, then mash, assortment of veges on the side ie cabbage, carrots, green beans etc then pour gravy all over 😍
I am new to this cooking thing, and my oh my, this video made me love the process of cooking. I just made this, and I think I am ready to apply for pressure cooker😂😂... It's definitely worth a subscription👍
Can't wait to try this. Surely 3-4 minutes won't be long enough for the potatoes/veggies to go soft enough though? I think I will adapt this and put it in a slow cooker for a couple of hours, so everythings ultra tender and flavors mixed to max. Thanks again. Love from UK.
Looks lovely, beautiful lady, and I would bet a silk pyjama it smells good too. Simple and tasty. What else is there to ask of it. I wish you rainbows, my friend.
Amazing recipe. Simple yet so comforting.. I want to say that saute potatoes and carrots before hand because they take long time to cook when mixed with tomatoes.
Made this twice and I’m about to make the third one in a few minutes. Everyone loves it. I like spicy food so I added a little bit of powdered pepper. Turned out great. Thank you for this recipe and thank you for making your videos short. Bless!!

LOL Weird comment
Those were chopped tomatoes in a potion container, Kenyans use fresh tomatoes because they grow hereand are rasily available@@necrisro

Looks lovely ! A tip from Yorkshire - dishes like this are always best made the day, or even two days before, to allow all the flavours to intensify 👍
Also freezes very well.
Sounds like a good plan man! From a Brit Southerner., May even whack it in a slow cooker after the frying pan for this very reason.
