True, the animations help a great deal too. The fact that it's 3rd person isn't all. Because Rockstar's animation team on RDR2 are absolute masters of their craft, you really feel the weight of the water the deeper you go. Just shitty first person shooter game.. Don't comapre it with fully open world Games which contains tons of complex system mechanism, algorithms along with story, animations, side activities and 100's of stuff going in it😂😂

i think its a tie between crysis 3 and metro exodus for me. RDR2 has good water physics generally but has no smaller ripple detail, i believe that both crysis 3 and metro exodus fill these gaps.
Subnautica 2014 was Early Access. Release version is dec 2018. - Early Access means the game is not ready yet, including graphics. Steam page shows 2018 because this.
Why I like red dead the most is because it actually physics. Most of this games are particles. But in red dead water reacts to everything in a different way
Cyberpunk 2077's water is the same as GTA 3's water only reflective and transparent but the behaviour is the same. Only big difference is V can swim whereas Claude can’t swim and vehicles sink in cyberpunk whereas they float in GTA 3.
Battlefield 4 was one of the better ones the waves carry on for a while definitely not the most realistic unlike rdr2 but still rdr2's water doesn't carry on for a while
Which game do you think has the most realistic physics? the question is difficult we could easily answer "Which game do you think has the worst realistic physics?"
LOL! Cyberpunk has no water physics. RDR2 is pretty impressive, cause the water at the surface is actually pushed and isn't given a ripple texture that 90% of games do.
In my book, Farcry/Crysis are the benchmark for gaming beauty. All jokes aside, how often do you go to any water in CP2077? I played the whole story twice and interacted with water only a few times. It's really not that important. No boating, no diving, no fishing; water is there mostly as a mapdesign obstacle to navigate around. CDPR had problems with development and bad marketing decisions already, I think "realistic water" was at the very bottom of their 'to do' list.
Just because you barely visit it, doesn't mean it can be in such a terrible state. Also, just like you said, theres nothing to do in water, which means theres a very missed opportunity there, its a game that came out in 2021, and like this video shows, many of this games have barely anything to do in water, but they still did it just right. "Not visiting it" its just an excuse, they were just lazy. They didn't care about details, which are something that people appreciate, cuz its like that last "chef kiss" you add to the food. And even if that wasn't the case, the main gameplay isn't a masterpiece.
Which game do you think has the most realistic physics?
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator
Cyberpunk 2077
Dishonored 2
Crysis
Minecraft 😊
Woah Metro Exodus surprised me. I didn't expect to see the bullet cartridges having their own physics.
But open world Games have lot other stuff and system going on it.. So you just compare a linear game with an open world game
He just threw cyberpunk at last just for the memes!!!😂😁

Subnautica and sea of thieves are top tier water physics
subnautica is literally the least advanced on this list lmao
its literally just a displacement texture and doesnt react to the player at all.
Crysis 3 still looks like as if it was made in 2021.
clearly! When you look at Cybertrash 2077, this is sad
