I’ve spent hours and hours trying to create brushes in Procreate to emulate the bob ross wet in wet style, I do actually paint using his method(in a hit and miss fashion) and want to avoid the “happy accidents” which contrary to Bobs teaching can end up as mud on the canvas. This has shown me you can use procreate to dry run composition and eliminate the write offs… thank you…
You’re the best for all the things you shared in this video! I wanted to get better at landscapes and digital art in general so I thought watching Bob Ross would be a great way to do that. Then I started and got frustrated immediately because I couldn’t find a way to make my art look remotely similar to the painted style he has. Thank you SO Much for making this video! And all the work you put into it and its description! It helped me so much and made finishing the first piece WAY more enjoyable!
Something that's worked for me on evergreens is to use the Leatherwood with a color dynamic on for the primary and secondary color to keep it from looking too flat, with a dark set of branches on the back, and then lighter on top.
I got into paining after running into Bob Ross videos. But was struggling to imitate it on Procreate. This video is great help and yes Bob Ross paintings just calm your anxiety so good. Thanks
The end credits are perfection, I tend to use the Mercury brush for plonking out the mountains but I’m gonna give these methods and brushes a solid try over the next few days
It's midnight and I literally froze when I saw Bob. This tutorial had me mesmerized.....Tony you are really good explaining what you're doing.....your narration is so calming to listen too and you're able to explain what tools you're using. You are an amazing talented artist.....I LOVE the HAPPY TREES!! Thank you for sharing!!
Didn't expect the outro! Tt is an instant relaxer when that music comes. I hope you get a lot more recognition, this is so soothing and really instructive at the same time.
I've been wanting to try my hand at a Bob Ross painting on Procreate and stumbled across your video. Thank you, thank you! Your approach to this method is brilliant!
Best tutorial I’ve ever seen. Have you ever done a full tutorial? I’d like to know more of your details. I’ve been trying to a Bob Ross painting on Procreate for years!
Thanks Tony, for the video and list of brushes used! New to Procreate. I took lessons from a Bob Ross instructor for a few years in the late 90s here in Ontario.
Came across this looking for a pandemic learning hobby after getting an Apple Pencil. Thanks for translating techniques into specific brushes. This is helpful!
This is so beautiful! Your tutorial is the best I have ever seen translating Bob Ross painting style in Procreate. I certainly will be following your Chanel. I would love to see an in-depth tutorial. That will be nice for someone like me who has transitioned from painting with acrylics on canvas to Procreate. Love it my brother. From one landscape painter to another, One Love. Blessings!
This is so awesome. I love Bob and I just started painting with Procreate but have mostly been doing portraits so being able to play with a Bob style landscape in Procreate is so fantastic. Thanks!
Another good brush for pine trees is the "groovy" brush. I followed your brush advice for all of these but I seemed to suck at pine trees... that brush makes it a bit easier if you use various shades and sizes.
This is incredible and a real pleasure to watch. Your voice is perfect for narration. I'd love to see a finer slower paced breakdown of some of the aspects. 10 minutes on Bob Ross skies, 10 minutes on land, 10 minutes on bobs trees etc. and see some work in real speed. I love art but I'm not much of an artist. Your stuff comes together so perfectly and so rapidly, but it's tricky for such a novice like myself. You make it look too easy! Thanks and I'll keep practicing.
This was amazing! Watching gave me a very similar calm to the one I get while watching The Joy of Painting, just with an updated medium. Super thankful for this video and the time you took to create it❤
Whoa this is amazing! I've got my iPad showing up soon and I'm extremely excited to start playing around. I also love watching bob and it makes me happy that even digitally you can achieve much of the same effects as he does!
I know im asking randomly but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Kameron Kayson thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Was looking for this exact tutorial. What an amazing job, it was just perfect for me. Did you tweak any of the brushes or did you use them as is? Thanks a million.
Any idea where the “Damp Brush” is? I can’t find it anywhere, especially not in the Paint Brushes category. I’ve only had Procreate 5 for a few months & am aware some brushes have different names depending on when you first got Procreate... Discovered this problem in another TH-cam video where others are searching for the Damp Brush too.
Hey just a tip for the trees since I'm kinda doing the same thing) for the trees I use shit I'm blanking the brush name, it's the one right above Leatherwood. ...... Aurora is the name of the brush
Good job on this tutorial! As a total noob in digital painting, I wish you would go slightly slower, like a real time full lenght recording. Happy painting!🙂
I love Bob Ross painting style, and I'd like to know how to translate his methond into Procreate... and now I've met your videos showing it!! Thank you. Here you have a subscriber if you keep doing more videos like this.
This is by far the best tutorial on how to translate Bob Ross techniques using Procreate. Just amazing. You deserve way more views! 👍
Thank you! 🤝✌🌲🗻 🙂
Tutorial?
The only technique Bob ross had was the one he stole from his instructor Bill Alexander. Bob even stole Bills dialog. Do your research.
@@garyballard723 yeah but nobody is searching for “Bill Alexander painting in procreate”, everyone is searching for Bob Ross.
Great translation of the Bob Ross version of his instructor Bill Alexander's technique! Bill was the best.

I was looking everywhere for a good alternative to his pallet knife on the mountains! Great idea with the burnt tree.
Thank you so much! This really helps!
This was a lovely experience. You 100% made Bob proud ;)
I got into paining after running into Bob Ross videos. But was struggling to imitate it on Procreate. This video is great help and yes Bob Ross paintings just calm your anxiety so good. Thanks
As a new digital art user, this video was really helpful - I had my own shot and it turned out alright so thanks for the advice!
Bob would have been honored. Thank you!

Don‘t forget to beat the devil out of that apple pen everytime you switch to other brushes!
Great video, i loved it:)

I’ve tried a few Bob Ross paintings myself on Procreate, but wasn’t completely confident in my style.

Thank you for taking the time to do this!

This was very helpful, thank you! Especially using the Burnt Tree brush for the mountains, which I've been struggling with.
Oh hell yes - big hello for a fellow artist in the Murfreesboro area!
Thanks for the tips. Much appreciated.

Please do more tutorials like that. TY
I just discovered this video and was mesmerized by it. I'm going to watch some more now. Thanks for sharing and I love your narration!!

Could you do a tutorial on clouds alone ? I am having trouble making the shapes. Mine are coming out like kids cartoons.
Thanks bro

Great Dear bro 👍👍👍,🙏🙏
Which airbrush are you using to smudge?
One thing I didn’t hear was when I should beat the devil out of it
Hi Bob Ross 2.0. I’m going to be presumptuous and say he would be proud of this video.
Thank you! 🤝✌🌲🗻 🙂
Could you recommend some oil paints that are very dry, for Bob Ross style painting? Thank you.
this is amazing! hey, have you figured a way to “beat the devil out of it” in procreate?
Just shake the iPad a lot 😉
Fabulous tutorial. Where do o find shorthair and fine hair and Nikki rull brushes??
Fine and short hair is under “materials” while nikko rull is under “painting”
Amazing 😍👌👌
Check out this video for your evergreens. Hope this helps you as much as your video helped me.
