I grew up with the movie and adored it from the very first watch. I'm 33 now and currently reading the book for the first time to see the origin and the differences, so far it's quite a ride. Out of curiousity I discovered that the author didn't like the movie and it pulled me into a rabbit hole, taking me to discover an incoming reboot and here to this trailer. I'd love to know more, after finishing the book, I'm diving into the documentary. From the trailer alone it looks incredible already!

it’s so very hard being independent and doing everything myself - but it’s been submitting for streaming and just waiting to hear a date (Amazon wont tell you when), and BluRay will be about 10 days. I ended up putting English and German subtitles on it and did it myself and it took longer than I expected. I’ll change the post, thanks for the nudge to!

It’s great to love awesome movies from our childhood! I grew up on this one too! But why can’t we let these movies inspire new stories and movies instead of continuing the trend of re-makes?!? Re-makes are almost never good!! Please.. just stop 😞
I agree we need more original ideas than to rely on iconic movies to remake - I’m not totally against remakes but not remakes of the highly iconic ones that are still so special!
