Board looks good but you can shave off lots of time if you did the futures box route out and set them before you did the carbon . Not only does it save tons of time its essentially a lot stronger as the boxes should be capped with the same glass that the board is glassed with plus extra patches - thats the real meaninb of fused . if you are worried about air use a blade and pop the bubbles near curetime. After the flip amd before the hotcoat open up the boxes with a grinder , keep moving around so they dont soften the glass ..this exposes any air bubbles that get opened up during the pre sand. Hope you found this helpful grasshopper!

Thanks Peter. I appreciate It. I usually route boxes before laminating bottom, this time i got confused by carbon stringer application and i went straight to lam. I Will keep your message as guidance.

That single carbon strip on a stringer less board adds unnecessary stress points. You should wrap the rails also. Thats sharp edge on the carbon beads up with resin and is a point where stress will crack it easier

Nice work bro... I see you use like 1lb or 1.5lbs foam like insulation material, and then you fill it up with micro balloons and gabosil(silica)... that would give that foam, a nice white look, and add alot of strength, plus foam with big beads obsorb water alot easier.... but it cant do it... can it? Lol not if you mix up the filler from epoxy.... so in conclusion... where I'm from you can get that type of foam for less then 20$ 4x8 feet 2 inch thick, slice that in half you got 2×8x2inches... you basically got a blank for 25$ + work... that's awesome... 1lb foam floats atleast 40% more then pre-made EPS blanks ... so you get a snow white ridged 1lb pound surfboard.... That is something like Firewire "HELIUM" construction.... Super smart bro! Nice work! I've tried 1lb foam before but I was using patch and paint spackle... it was coming out weak... so I had over glass it... and then it was too heavy loo.
Keep.doing what you doing man. Cheers.

Yhea you are right, Is 1.5lb, with small beads. Buy still absorb Lots of water if you get a Ding and keep surfing It. I used microballon plus epoxy, mostly becouse give me a Better lamination with less air Bubbles. Now i am trying a preshape super fused EPS, they says suck less water, we Will see After the test. @@xisotopex not necessary all. The are different Eps foam. If your local shaper use Eps super fused, the beads Will be tight and wont suck much resin. Instead when you use a block cut eps there Is more space between beads, so It Will suck much resin in.
