I will tell y’all now with all honesty, I quit eating all fast food for lent (40 days btw) and my skin had never been clearer, I was also exercising often and eating a bunch of fruit. I hardly had my cystic acne anymore and my blackheads began to disappear my skin literally peaked. And ofc try to be stress-free, that contributes a lot also! I believe I was also taking colder showers or at least less hot. Good luck on y’all’s skincare journey! Everything I did was all worth it, trust me!

Now THIS is a skin care video I can get behind. She actually explains some of the different skin types and which products/ingredients are generally good for them, she doesn’t try to convince us you NEED fancy products other than the mandatory trio (cleanser/moisturizer/sunscreen), and she mentions what to do and avoid outside of the actual routine. It’s a clear-cut, no-BS video and pretty much everything she said and recommended is accurate. Good work!
Here’s some more things you can do:
    - avoid smoking like the plague
    - try not to drink alcohol as often or as much
    - wash your hands often, and even then, try to avoid touching your face a lot
    - change your pillowcases often (good to know: satin is antimicrobial)

Another good tip for getting glass skin: Learn how to use photo editing software! A lot of the photos you see online of models and influencers with perfect skin are touched up with blemishes digitally concealed and normal skin texture completely blurred out, so just do whatever you can do for yourself to keep your skin and body healthy. Don't stress yourself out with unrealistic standards that nobody can actually meet, because it's all just made by computers in the end ✨

Gosh the whole video was so relevant, useful and adorable at the end. Such realistic skin care routine should be really encouraged more. I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging but as much as possible (Never tried filles or Botox though), anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 18 again, but definitely not 42 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist, didn't have that kind of "glow" and glass of skin for many years. People that have many skin bumps, check your comedogenic rating of your skincare. if the comedogenic rating is low, then the product will have a lower chance to clog your pores. I have some insecurities about my looks, but something that made me really boost my confidence is realizing that people don't judge you as much as you think they do. For example, I didn't want to wear a swimsuit one time because I had stretch marks on my thighs, but then I realized that there were people in the same pool that were much fatter than me, had more stretch marks, and no one bullied them for it nor did I judge them at all, they were having a fun time, so why should I judge myself? I think the main thing that helped me was asking myself the question, "Would I judge someone else for this?" If I wouldn't, then I have my answer. No one should feel depressed about their looks no matter how above or below average you think you are, and it's such a small part of life. Love yourself ❤

The moment I did less for my body and my skin, I literally received what I’ve been trying to achieved for years. I was doing the most for a slimmer figure: restricting food, weighing out my macros, working out hard 4/5 times a week with weights, showering everyday, trying all sorts of skincare to get clear skin, steaming my face, doing face masks, exfoliating every week.
The number one thing for me that has allowed me to effortlessly drop the weight and clear up the skin is relax. Lower the cortisol. Cortisol is a stress hormone and your body will never release excess fat if you’re in a chronic state of inflammation, burning out and it also keeps your blood sugar elevated which in turn encourages break outs and produces excess oils.
Sorting this out from the inside, rather than doing external ‘fixes’ is where it’s at. My exercise now is focusing on steps... it keeps the blood sugar low and inflicts minimal stress on hormones, I do Pilates no more than 4 times a week, it’s gentle, encouraged deep diaphragm breathing which in turn floods your cells with oxygen and draws out that stagnant co2. My skincare is a double cleanse CeraVe hydrating cleanser. Vitamin c and spf in the morning. At night I alternate between one night with just cicaplast balme from la Roche posay which is amazing for the skin barrier and then the next night I’ll put on niacinamide and 0.9% tretinonin. I never pick at my skin. That used to be my downfall when I was anxious... any blackhead I’d pick at and it would make the surrounding skin infected and scab over. Not cute. My exfoliating now is simply rubbing a little harder with my muslin cloth when drying my skin, only on areas that need it... often around my nostrils but even this is barely necessary now since my skin barrier is better. I eat well, focus on good fats as that’s a moisturiser from the inside out and drink plenty of water and sleep a minimum of 7 hours each night.

I was actually waiting for a photo to show up until I noticed myself on screen😊 For the ones trying out retinal medical grade 0.05% will be more than enough. My skin peeled a little when I started using it for the first time. It also made my skin very very sensitive so I skipped any other actives for a week. My skin definitely improved by it though. Currently I am using retinal(2), niacinamide (2) , salicylic acid(2) and ordinary peel solution (1). (No of days a week) btw I have oily acne prone skin. Hope it helps at least one person.
Update: it's been like 1.5 months since a pimple last popped up on my face 🎉 and acne scars are almost gone🥳and kin tone became like a few shades lighter. I did do a lot more things than what's mentioned above as I learned more about my skin. A mix of home remedies and commercial products both helped( took around 8-9 months). this is probably the best skincare video ever made. no bullshit, straight to the point and not promoting harsh chemicals or things like 10 steps routine which as you said, is UNNECESSARY. Most of us need 3 to 5 products max. less is really more.
when we apply too much stuff on your skin we risk damaging it.

AMAZING video! So well made! Everything that everyone needs to know in exactly the right way to survive the confusion and overwhelming information that most mortals feel as we drink in the info from advertisers. No matter your age or types of skin and amount of time and money we can or want to spend, Claire has laid it out with clarity, simplicity and honesty. Girlfriend, you are the sweet, funny and a hero to everyone who will come across this video. I wish that you were my Bestie! I will subscribe and prostitute your name and link to every lost and confused woman that I know, and make it so! You are a Skincare Angel ! God Bless you 1000 times! ❤

She explains is so nicely! LITERALLY THESE THREE STEPS ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH! I had a 5 steps skincare routine before and nothing really worked despite of choosing the correct products according to my skin type. All I've been doing from the past 2 months, No junk food regularly. I do cheat days tho..No added/refined sugar from past 3 months. Eating whatever my mama cooks at home.. Exercising and DRINKING GALLONS OF WATER! And trust me skin has never been better, I get compliments almost everyday. My skin is combination, oily in the T zone, whiteheads and dry on the side. I use a mild salicylic acid face wash, Argan oil or Castor oil as a moisturizer, and a SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY! And I already have my glass skin! It's all in the diet. And stopping added sugars really worked magic for me!

Guys. Eat healthy, exercise a lot, and by a lot i mean A LOT. Most of us slouch on our phones all day, all year. Drink plenty of water and then pee a lot too, do NOT hold it in. Shave your face. Good cleanser, moisturizer and a sunscreen is all you need. Face mask once a week and CHANGE YOUR PILLOW COVERS EVERY WEEK. Stay hygienic down there and get plenty of sunlight. Give it 2 months and watch the difference. And if u still have acne, its probably a skin condition, then u should visit your dermatologist.

azelaic acid works really well for hyperpigmentation and acne scars. pairing azelaic acid with salicylic acid can help you clear your acne prone skin. it can cause dryness on some sensitive skin so make sure to moisturize and hydrate well. you can also use it daily because it works the best that way
